I was wondering if I could get someone to tutor me in Korean.
I have some of the basics down already, thanks to my appa.
I'm only half Korean, and I wish I lived in Korea, but meh.
Umma refuses to take me to Korea with her.. (Maybe because she's ashamed of having a child that isn't full Korean...?)

I can read Korean a little, though I don't understand it at all...
Living in the small town I am currently in,
There are many Mexicans/whites/blacks around here that THINK they know Korean because their older brothers went over-seas to Korea and "learned the language."
Simple greetings such as "Anyong haseyo" were translated back to me as, "You're ******** hot and I want to bend you over and ******** you in the a**".... Just really offend me. Especially when they tell me I'M wrong because I don't speak the language.
I just need a tutor so I can prove to my umma and my appa that I can do things on my own.

next time, don't say "half south korean" you make it sound like our people in the north are of a differently ethnicity

doubt that's the case. fear of possible discrimation is more likely

those guys usually just go to Korea to get laid or to get a girl

which is why i wish those kinds of guys would just go to Japan, and stay away from Korea

if you live in an area with lots of koreans, it shouldn't be too hard to find a tutor.

u look like a pure. heck, you look more korean than me....and i'm pure!

>.o I say South Korean because if I don't plenty of people tell me my umma's a communist and that I'm going to have one of my relatives bomb the US. T.T;

I live in a VERY rural area of IL... Far from Chicago or any other city possibly populated with people to teach me Korean. xP Appa said he'd teach me, but he really hasn't gotten around to doing it.. MOst he did was teach me hangul. xP

Kinda why I wished I grew up speaking Korean at home...
I'll have a hard time kicking my American accent...
Halmoni even teased me a little because of my accent hehe...
One of these days, I'm moving to Korea. >.o;
I hate it here in America...

Meh, I don't really care...
I just want to get away from all these stupid Americans most times...
Maybe I should just move to like Chicago. >.o;
They've only got a Korean district in Chinatown. xP.
Like 3-4 blocks. And then a little further down is India's little district.
Umma got lost one time and we ended up in India district. =o
So many pretty saris..... Then Umma found her way to the Korean district and we bought lots of kimchi <3
*tummy growls* T.T I want some now....

OH! And my appa got me a Korean lessons program on the computer. =o
It gives pronunciations and EVERYTHING! *dances*
Appa has had it for years, and he kept forgetting to have us use it as kids so we could learn Korean. The program is called "Korean HakGyo". =3

gonk Know where he got it so I can take a stab at it? I rather be using a program to learn Korean rather than pay fulltime classes ToT.

I'd really love to learn Korean too...I am a full Korean but I can barely understand it at all. Notice I said, understand, I can't speak it at all. Like, I know it when I hear it, but it's not like I can say it to another person. sweatdrop I'm also really confused whether I want to move to Korea or not. I've never even been there before but it'd be an oppurtunity to learn how to speak it. ^^ But, I kind of actually like my life here in America. xp I guess I'm just neutral. I want to search up on the internet about that Korean Hakgyo thing. ^^ I REALLY want to learn how to speak Korean. ^^ My family won't teach me, yet they sometimes call me bad names in Korean when I can't understand them...They don't anymore, but they used say "Paboya" and "Kichibae." Sorry if I wrote those in a way of giving off a bad pronunciation of it...But they mean stupid and b**ch. xp
