I was at the Coventry con in 2003. I was there with a press pass, partly for myself and partly because I'm a staff member for the British Media Track at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, so I was touting for guests.
So I got to meet and chat with everyone long into the night (well, 1.30am) on all sorts of subjects (except Craig Charles, who wasn't there. Hattie Hayridge was curious about how I got to be freelancing in the first place) - even Mr. Flibble!
Hattie Hayridge and Norman Lovett took us up on our offer and came to Atlanta - so I wound up having a steakhouse dinner with them on my first night in the US!

I still need to check out the DVD with
Hattie's DJ Diary on it, to see if any of the footage she took of me whilst we were there got in.
