scream scream scream evil evil evil I am SOOOO mad at the current fashion trends right now!!! While in Chelan, my sister picked up an issue of Seventeen Magazine. Not that that magazine makes me angry, but what was in it made me angry. There were two things, actualy. The first was a letter from a fan about a past issue. She was angry at the people at Seventeen for encoureging others to embrace all body shapes. She said that its disgusting to her to see people overweight in the street. She said that being 'fat' should be a crime. She also said that if people are 'fat', they should get off of their lazy bums and go to a gym. 'Being skinny', she states, is easy. scream scream scream evil evil evil THAT MADE ME WANT TO HUNT DOWN THAT STUPID MOTHER FU$*@#& BI#@$ AND RAM HER FACE INTO THE PAVEMENT scream scream scream *is seething* >.> <.< sorry about that, people like that just make me EXTREMELY angry sweatdrop sorry if I scare anyone, but I have one more thing that I am angry about.
I saw in the magazine another thing that make me angry and very afraid of what is going to happen to a lot of people. They are trying to make Emo a popular style. Half of the models in that magazine were as they put 'modern punk' but it was Emo. This scares me because a LOT of people will start doing stupid things they normally would not have. Like acting suicidle and cutting themselves just because they think it is part of the 'trend'. God, my close friend almost killed herself, she has scars on her arms from cutting and now they are marketing what we are as a style? What the hell is going on with this world?!?!?

I'd like to join you in that hunt with a 10-foot long katana and a sniper rifle. *grinds teeth* evil What was the magazine's response to that letter? I hope they at least scolded her or something.
And that second part is just plain scary. gonk
I think Seventeen is a superficial piece of crap anyway, ever since I looked in on it years ago. 3nodding

I think Seventeen is a superficial piece of crap anyway, ever since I looked in on it years ago. 3nodding There was no such scolding in that magazine. I think that we should all band together and write a response to that letter in the magazine. I am sure that we are not the only ones mad about that. Do you think that forcing her to eat nothing but Grandma's Cookies, little Debbie cakes, Hostess stuff and drink nothing but 3,000 calorie shakes is a good enough punishment?

lol quite a while back here on gaia, some guy tried to say that i was going to hell for being fat confused i told him it was pathetic to try to justify hate with the bible, and that he needed to quit hiding behind it confused (the bible being 'it' 3nodding )
that's just how some people are. personally, i rather see a fat person out on the street than an anerexic. they're both eating disorders, but one's encouraged, and the other is frowned upon. i actually had to say i thought someone was disgusting the other day. i saw a picture of one of the kennedy's wives. her skirt wasn't tight, but her pelvis bone stuck out so far that it caused rippled where her stomach/abdoman should have been.
i think it's all depends on the person. though i'll admit, it's pretty stupid to print that in a magazine. i'm sure that they had many better letters they could have posted.
as for the emo thing, it's sad, but it's been going on for a long time. that's just how the world is. anerxia and cutting are encourage now-a-days, get with the fashion flow. lol one of the many reasons i don't like the country i live in 3nodding EVERYTHING is run on fashions.

Eugh teen mags are so behind anyway.
I don't know how they claim to be up to date when they show of styles that everyones been wearing and have come about full circle.
I rember reading a shape issue.
It was all about trying to make yourself look thin.
They kept saying having some meat is okay, but everyone will love you more if your skinny.

There are so much wrong things that woman said, I dont know where to start:
