Actually, I know exactly what you mean. It's something I've thought about a lot myself, and I guess it depends on what the other person wanted. It is selfish to force the other to suffer losing you, but it's also selfish to let them die in place of you. If she didn't want to go through losing me, I'd let her go. If she wanted to live, I'd die in her stead.
But I would readily do either.

Same here.
Both propositions are rather selfish, so, why not let your true love decide?

Hell Yes, I'd even pull the trigger myself if I had to, or whatever.

It makes perfect sence. Knowing the person that means the most to me, we would talk about it, and decide. I would die for her., 100%. Though she would have the harder time having to deal with the gult, but I don't know. I've never asked her this kind of question before...
*Bites lip* I'm going to end it there... this is a little much for me right now.

Wow that is so right, it should be your true love that decides if you should die for them or not (although it's easy to see how this might cause some problems) It wouldn't change anything, it would just change who was making the decision. The end result would likely be determined by either a list of the pro/cons to each decision, or a flip of a coin... or double-suicide.

Kohki It wouldn't change anything, it would just change who was making the decision. The end result would likely be determined by either a list of the pro/cons to each decision, or a flip of a coin... or double-suicide. That's true, since such a decision rides on whether the other person has the decisveness to make that decision. But then, I'd be watching her anyway, and if she couldn't say but I thought it would be better one way or another, or if I thought she wanted one thing or another, then I'd make that decisiion. But I'd want to do whatever she wanted, or whatever we decided was best for her. It would be one thing or another, but there would be no regrets.
