Honestly, it depends on whether the person who has them has a nice body. I like them more on guys than girls, though. Some girls do look pretty damn good with them, but some...don't. Guys, though, hodeargod yes! Uh, as long as they've got a pretty decent body. Give me a guy with a nicely built chest and abs and n****e piercings and I'll be a very happy girl. But n****e shields...bloody ******** hell, NO! They're usually just...stupid looking. No offence meant to anyone who likes them, but they are. And they look like they'd be rather uncomfortable, as heavy as some I've seen are. Barbells or rings both look better, and I much prefer barbells.
Also, it's hotter when both nipples are pierced than when a guy has just one side or the other. One is good, but it looks better when both are pierced. I guess I have a bit of a thing about symmetry when it comes to some piercings.

I love mine so much. They're awesome. Double nips especially.
Only problem with them is when Im drinking I tend to show them off a bit too much.

my only issue is people who don't keep up on the daily hygiene of piercings - i mean, i wash mine every day. and as a girl who swings both ways, i looooooove it when my partner's got jewelry in their nips. but if they don't clean them, yech! i don't wanna get near them.
but yes, good, clean pierced nipples are a definite turn-on.

Nipples are pretty sweet to begin with, when you make em shiny they're AWESOME!
But really, I find them very attractive. :3 My boyfriend just turned 18 and he's getting one done with his buddies.
