Here's what has happened, and here's what I'm planning to do.
The "Allowed Threads" sticky has been deleted. Its material has been moved to the rules sticky, which has been renamed "Rules and Guidelines".
Our guild home page needs revamping. Must look flashy attractive to potential recruits.
Stickies themselves will probably be modified as well. Less stickies mean more room for polls on the forum.
Ideas and opinions are welcome.

What about advertising the guild in the 'Registered Guilds' forum?

Well, that sounds good. But first, we should take care of improving on the guild before we advertise.

True, but I guess that could be for a future idea.
If any banners were needed, I know someone who would do them.

I'm not too...enthusiastic about banners. Well, not yet. People can advertise in their own ways...I mean, using a banner isn't the only way to recruit people. I'm not using a banner; instead, I'm using a little icon to represent a link to this guild.
Links can suffice for now. But if enough people express a desire to use an official guild banner, then we will need to get one.

Heck, I haven't even decided what to put on the home page yet.
We could start with a general 'welcome in' message. "Welcome to the Intellectual Poll Idiots Guild!" And from there, we could give a description of the guild, some of its features (we could even add the little mini-comic that Ocean and I were planning to do for fun), and something nice to say to seal the deal and get the Gaian to join.
Maybe it'll go like this:
"Welcome to the Intellectual Poll Idiots Guild! This is the place where you can pollwhore all you want and enjoy a literate discussion at the same time. We have two new polls per minute, a picture thread, a mini-comic series, and many fun and interesting members! Don't miss out on the fun and join today!"
Of course, that'll be an example. It could be tweaked as needed. What do you think?
