The eyes need whites. At the moment they look a little too much like tear-shaped glass orbs, which is disconcerting and bordering a bit on sloppy.
You've got the right idea as far as anatomy goes, and I enjoy the pose greatly. However there are some obvious weak points that detract from the otherwise good work - I'm thinking particularly about the chin (are you trying for a chibi style there?) and her right knee (on our left).
Like the others have mentioned, the boots are weak, and I'll also add that I dislike the beret - both objects
look like they're meant to be boots and beret, but if removed from the context of the picture you wouldn't be able to tell what they were meant to be.
Overall, I can see what you're trying to do, but you need to work on making your style more concrete.
I really like the way I've chosen to do eyes but I suppose nobody else agrees. I'll see what I can do to humanize them.
As for the chin I'm not really going for a chibi style per se; I'm moreso experimenting with different ways of doing things until I hit something that I like. Same thing with the eyes really... Kind of a shot at something unique I suppose.
Now that you mention it, yeah, her knee is kind of wrong and that is probably what went wrong with the boot.
