I made this match in the main AMC but it was boxed and I'm really curious abou this, so let's see here:

This is a match to the death between Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach and Colonel Fedmahn Kassad from the Hyperion novels (in full FORCE battle gear).

Information about the contestants:

Quote:

Ichigo Kurosaki (黒崎 一護, Kurosaki Ichigo?) is the main character of the anime and manga series BLEACH. The series begins with Ichigo receiving shinigami powers as a result of a run-in with Rukia Kuchiki, one of the many shinigami who inhabit the spirit world, Soul Society. These powers come at the cost of Rukia's own, and as a result, Ichigo is forced to work as Rukia's stand-in, fighting to protect people from hollows (evil spirits), and sending "Pluses" (pure souls) off to the afterlife.

Being the main character, Ichigo's history is given in more detail than many other characters'. However, it usually comes in small pieces from different times in his life.

At age 3, Ichigo's mother, Masaki Kurosaki, took him to a dojo to learn karate. His first fight was with Tatsuki Arisawa, where he lost and started crying. Ichigo then saw his mother and started smiling, and it was revealed that he did this whenever he saw his mom.

At age 9, Masaki was killed by the hollow Grand Fisher, although Ichigo did not find out until early in the main BLEACH storyline. Ichigo was distraught and walked on the beach where his mother was killed for days. The entire Kurosaki family transformed at the death of Masaki - Karin became tough and did not cry again, while Yuzu took up the household chores.

While in junior high school, Ichigo met Chad, then from Mashiba Junior High, who helped him out of a fight. Chad, although extremely strong, was often the target of beatings because he refused to fight for his own sake. Thus, Ichigo and Chad agreed to fight for each other in any situation.

Like any other shinigami, Ichigo has a zanpakutō. Ichigo's zanpakutō is named Zangetsu (斬月 lit. moon cutter or cutting moon), and nicknamed "old man" or "uncle" by Ichigo, as its materialized form seems to resemble a 30-40 year old man (in Japanese, such men are referred to as "uncle"). Zangetsu has also been called the black-clothed man (黒衣の男 kokui no otoko).[1]

During his initial sealed state, Zangetsu looks like a giant version of a normal zanpakutō. The large size is due to Ichigo's immense spiritual power, which he doesn't know how to control at the time. It has a rectangular handguard and Ichigo carries it in a giant sheath on his back. Though it is broken by Byakuya Kuchiki during their first encounter, Ichigo continues using what's left of it until Kisuke Urahara slices it to bits during his training.

The shikai form of Zangetsu is an "incomplete sword" with no guard or sheath. It bears the appearance of a giant elegant cleaver. It is as tall as he is, around six feet, and has a black blade and silver edge. Ichigo's zanpakutō is different in that it always stays in its shikai state, possibly because of his high level of power. Upon learning their zanpakutō's name, most shinigami gain the ability to keep it in its sealed form until they encounter a situation where they need to release their zanpakutō. Ichigo has not yet been able to (or has not wished to) do this.

Ichigo carries his zanpakutō on his back with an unusual sheath that appears as a wrapped up bandage-like cloth, that is generated by Zangetsu himself. When its time to be used in battle comes, the sheath shrinks away from the blade and hangs as a tassel at the bottom of the hilt. Zangetsu's special ability, named getsuga tenshō (月牙天衝 lit. moon sky-piercing fang), fires concentrated energy blasts from its tip in the shape of a blue crescent moon. Kisuke Urahara forced Ichigo to perfect this ability in order to fight on a shinigami lieutenant's level. Ichigo uses this ability without knowing its name several times, but masters the technique later on when he discovers its name, getsuga tenshō. As stated by Zangetsu, knowing and not knowing the name of an attack makes a difference in the amount of power that it releases.

Zangetsu's cloth has also been used as a weapon by Ichigo's inner hollow, whom Zangetsu summoned. He used it to swing the sword around and attack from a considerable distance; and did so continuously. Ichigo used this himself in order to destroy a massive execution ground (the stand of Sōkyoku), implying that the technique can be used to temporarily focus and enhance his power.

The bankai form of Zangetsu, named tensa Zangetsu (天鎖斬月lit. chains of heaven - slicing moon), is considered completely out of the ordinary for any zanpakutō. It consists of an ordinary katana (or a nodachi, as its size is about 175 cm) with a black blade, a handguard in the shape of the manji, which is the kanji for "ban" (full), and a short broken chain dangling as the blade's tassel and replacing the cloth from its shikai form.

As explained by Byakuya Kuchiki, Ichigo's bankai appears to be a compression of his power, rather than a vast expansion as other final releases are. This hugely compressed power enables Ichigo to move at an incredible speed, far surpassing flash steps (shunpo), and gives him an agility to match, while allowing him to use his strength to its limits. It appears as though Ichigo has yet to fully master his bankai.

When first fighting using his bankai, Ichigo's inner hollow comes out to fight Byakuya and he tells Ichigo that he can show him how to use bankai correctly. Byakuya comments that Ichigo has been getting progressively slower during the fight - a result of him not being used to the immense boost of power that tensa Zangetsu brings, which is shattering his bones as he fights. It also seems that Ichigo has not yet found any special abilities to his bankai except for getsuga tenshō, which he already knows from his shikai; during bankai, it is in a modified form as Byakuya Kuchiki noted when he called it kuroi getsuga (lit. black moon fang). Contrary to popular belief, kuroi getsuga is not its actual name, since Byakuya was just commenting on the color change it took from shikai to bankai. It maintains the name getsuga tenshō. This move is a mixture of black and red and rather than taking on the shape of a crescent moon it seems to take on whatever shape Ichigo desires as he seems to be able to control its trajectory in the way that Byakuya is able to do with his bankai. Ichigo says it is his hollow self's move, meaning it allows his hollow to start taking over. He also states that if he were to use it more than 3-4 times, his hollow self would completely take over.

Colonel Fedmahn Kassad is a warrior from the division of the FORCE military, working for the Hegemony of Man. He is considered by many to be the greatest warrior that ever lived. He has spent all his life training in realistic simulations and in his first combat deployment he sucessfully defeated the Ousters that had invaded his ship and crash - landed on the planet of Hyperion.

In full FORCE combat gear, he is equipped with the following:

1. Armor that can easily deflect bullets or even weapons as powerful as artillery shells.

2. Enhanced speed and reflexes (humans wearing FORCE armor can chop down multiple trees in less than a second using only one hand).

3. Enhanced senses and sensor vision that can accurately see and target things from many kilometers away, and see in the ultraviolet and infrared spectrums as well as night vision, heat detection, motion detectors, radar, sonar, and computer trajectory analysis.

4. Adaptive camouflage that allows him to remain hidden in any environment

4. The FORCE multipurpose assault rifle. This incredibly powerful weapon has the following attack options:

- high - calibre rifle bullets

- killing lasers that are strong enough to penetrate FORCE armor

- destructive rapidfire lasers as powerful as grenades

- high - explosive pulse bolts that can shatter large buildings

- bhees (beams of high energy electrons) that can tunnel through half a kilometer of solid rock near - instantly

- canister grenades that explode into thousands of needle flechettes upon hitting their target

- pulse - laser swaths that will blind anyone looking in his direction

- body - heat - seeking darts that are fired in swarms.

He is also armed with extra ammo cartridges in case he runs out.

Uh..Das.... I didn't see anywhere in Kassad's profile you gave that he can see ghosts, but also generate a form of Reiatsu. With out those two abilities.....any one fighting Ichigo is dog meat.

Well technically since Kassad is a simple human who relies on technology and has no spiritual power he would probably be crushed by Ichigo's reaitsu. Then if Ichigo fights in his later form he could use the Cero beam, which is stated as being able to destroy objects down to the atomic level.
Of course in this I'm relying on the reaitsu pinning down Kassad, because otherwise Ichigo won't be able to hit him.

Kassad if i recall, was the only one to beat the Shriek right?
Kassa wins. The Speed alone that the guy can attain would be enough to beat Kurosaki without him ever realizing Kassad was there.

This is Kassad without the phase suit so he doesn't get the speed bonus.

Also I should mention that the FORCE multipurpose assault rifle has literally no chance of missing if the target is less than 9 kilometers away.

Well in that case Kassad would probably win bacause he could just snipe Ichigo from miles away. So how fast is he exactly without his speed bonus from the phase suit?

The armor lets him run at about 50 kilometers per hour.

Still a pretty good speed. And yeah, the sniper rifle totally kills all the fun. (And Ichigo along with it)

Whoohoo I just got the second book in the series from the library, so I'll come back after I finish reading it.
By the way about the sniper thing, are we assuming they are both aware of each others presence? If we let Kassad strike from an ambush from like 9 miles away he could he easily win, but if we let Ichigo be aware and go Bankai, I'm not sure how well Kassad would be able to track him with his gun, after all it would definitely be hard to hit something going at Ichigo's speed with a sniper rifle.

Well all the weapons are tracking, except for the lasers which don't need to be since they move at the speed of light.

I'm not necessarilt talking about tracking so much as aiming. IF you have someone going Ichigo's speed he's going fast enough that most normal humans won't even be able to see his movement. Therefore since Kassad isn't in his speeded up form, his reactions won't allow him to keep up with Ichigo's speed and make him unable to hit Ichigo.

Also I'm not sure if Ichigo could deflect the lasers like he did the Meno's atack at the beginning of the series, since they both seem quite similar in type.

In order to deflect the lasers he would have to move his body at the speed of light, which he just can't do.
