This is a topic about being, as I call it, "commitment-phobic," and how it effects sexual relationships. I myself am, strange and unusual as it may seem for a girl, a commitmentphobe. I would like to know if anyone eles out there let this little phobia effect the sexual relationships that they have had in the past?
ex: Doing it to fast, not being able to commit
Doing it to young, " "
Doing it with somone you don't love (and might never), " "
etc...

one of my friends says im sort of like that. Im, in her words, "Afriad of emotional commitment", which i dont think is true..but coudl very well be.

Hmm.. I guess I'm not, since I've been with the same guy for over a year now. XD;; But I get where you're coming from. If he were more high-maintenence, I don't know if I'd be able to commit. And in the future, I think I'm probably going to commit most of myself to my career, and I hope he does too. And if that means we have to be far away from each other sometimes, I'm willing to do that, but I don't think I'd be too willing to sacrifice a good job opportunity just to spend more time with him. I want it to be a more casual relationship, or something.
So what I'm saying is: I don't want to commit too much, but I haven't been required to yet, so my commitment hasn't really been tested. XD;

My boyfriend has a commitment issue.. We've had sex and all that, but he is too scared to commit to me. I want him to, I want to spend the rest of my life with him, but I dont think he will ever commit to me.

Well, I am more than alittle scared of commitment. Or maybe I'm not SCARED as much as I just don't like it. I don't wanna get married or anything, and I'm never looking for anything too serious. Heres my philosophy on it, you just do what you feel comfortable with and what you feel is right....right?

Hmm.. I don't think that I have a phobia to commitment, as much, but I just get bored. Like, I'll really like a guy and as soon as we're dating I just need something new. It's horrible, because I feel really bad when I break up with the guy... cry
I knoowww, I should learn to stick with it, but at the moment I there is nothing a relationship can give me!! I'm a virgin, with no plans to lose it until I'm ready. 3nodding
