Here's the first.... perfect for a quick fingerfood.
It's easy to make, but you will need both hands. Also remember to keep you tools and countertops cleaned and disinfected, you will be handeling raw meat.
Sausage Wraps
You need:
-1-2 pkgs Lil'Smokies
-1 lb bacon (cheap kind's ok)
-brown sugar (light or dark, you choose)
-toothpicks
-baking dish
-no-stick spray
Preheat oven to about 275 degrees, ovens can vary, so adjust accordingly
Lightly spray bottom of baking dish.
Cut bacon in half lengthwise to make shorter pieces.
Wrap a piece of shortened bacon aroung a smokey. Wrapping the bacon horizontally around a smokey held vertically.
Place in baking dish with the seam of the bacon on the bottom.
Once the bottom of the dish is covered, sprinkle all the pieces with brown sugar.
Add a second layer if you have extra.
Bake for atleast one hour... depending on you oven. They're done when the bacon is cooked throughly.
Give each smokey a toothpick to serve.
This is a good dish to prep the night before, and bake in the morning while you're getting ready.
