I only recall one cartoon where he didn't know the rules, and that was a rare exception. Besides, Bugs can break the 4th wall. 4th wall breaking trump 5 dimensional reality warping.

Das....That's the most n00bish thing that's ever come out of your mouth. Bugs has broken the Fourth wall yes, but canonically he can not go through it, like Mxy can and has done.

Cartoons of that type aren't supposed to have continuity, so we just have to go based on what we've seen them do.
