It was a night after moving into the pack that they had decided to begin decorating, wanting to wait a day to fully realize the potential of their new home before making anything permanent. Dark Weaving was excited to get his feathers all over everything to say the least.

He took a step back from what he was currently working on, admiring the handy work from the last few minutes of his efforts. He was working on a big space of wall, from the den he and his love had picked out, and was nearly satisfied with it. He tilted his head trying to discover what could possible be wrong with the picture he created with fabrics and bone.

He only smiled when he found out what it was: his mates touch. "Dear! I'm almost finished on this wall. Could you come look and see if you like it my love?"

A simple gesture followed by a nod of the head wove a tale for a vulture living within the darkness. Her ideas were simple yet weaved into intricate patterns of artistic proportions. A bone with a notch or feather with a distinct curve, leaving that perfected touch only she could lay upon a three-dimensional canvas. This was her passion living within her mind braiding and weaving accessories that were pure: a work of art.

Never had a vulture of her plumage let alone uniqueness ever pondered the possibility to settle within a wolf pack. Which she retorted of "why not" since it had happened to her just the same. Choosing a mate with definitive taste as her own liking to the dark and surreal. It had grown colder with winter's eve creeping slowly inward leaving the ground scattered in frost and patches of snow. While she wasn't against the thought, Brushed Death wasn't a true fan of snow. Still, the falling snowflakes caused a serene yet haunting melody that left her at peace. In the meantime, within their humble cave of married life, she intricately worked with discarded wolf hair, bones, and other oddities discarded within the pack. Using a claw she worked a delicate break in the bone then threaded the wolf hair through.

Suddenly, music-filled her with warmth when her mate called upon her, "Coming Dear" she replied with a somber yet enchanting tone. Releasing the bone gently with hair she nodded then walked in a gothic stance to her mate's side. Pausing, she took in his masterpiece with a breath of adoration. Such an intricate design with a deep sense of artistic nature, "It is amazing My Darling. Such deepness in your design with just the right touch". She then paused tilting her head, "But, I think I have something that might help you with your decision". Nodding once more she walked back to her work area with bone and fur gently held within her beak, "If you still are perplexed, try this bone and fur. I think it will put you at ease My Darling". Leaning inward she brushed her wing against his eloquently placing the bone before him waiting to see where he would place it. Whatever he would choose would certainly be perfect.

He brushes past her, feathers lingering in want to never stop touching, as he goes to walk past his mate to pick up the new decoration. "Wonderful Darling, just wonderful. Your beauty and talent are just beyond comparison, the delicacy of your creation is astounding."

Though his movements may not be as graceful as his other half, they are big and fantastical as his love for her. With a gentle beak he picks up her gift and goes over to the wall, contemplating the position he wishes to place it. He doesn't take too long allowing the placement to flow through him fueled by his passion for his new life at the pack.

He pins the bone and fur in place, using it as a vocal point for his masterpiece. It's a statement made to show how they work so well together, and one he's positive his mate will adore.

He steps back admiring the handiwork between the two of them now. His chest puffs out as he turns quickly back to Brushed Death, hoping back over to her full of pride, "My Love, it is complete. The greatest collaboration yet, something to bring our home together and it's only just started: imagine one day when our den is covered in downy from our children running around and magnificent little decorations adorn this piece as well. And then one day it will be grandchildren and then great-great grandchildren!"

He swoops her into his arms, beak trailing her feathers upon her neck until he can whisper to her ear, "One marvelous family, my precious Death. This is the beginning of our legacy, the beginning of a long line of love and loyalty to one another."

He gives her some space once again, no matter how he would choose rest against her plumage until the earth took him, but kept his wing against hers. His feathers still puffed out and fluffy in excitement and he gazes back to the art work they shared.

Weaving tilted his head towards her, and gives her a confident but playful smile and pride still in his eyes, "Is there anything I can help you with now, Dear? I suddenly have some free claws to assist."

Her eyes watched him precisely as his mind perfected something of darkness and otherly presence. Orbs glistening, her proudness for him grew into more adoration as his mind wandered for such a delicate yet decisive finale. His scent deep within her own she nearly swooned as those feathers brushed over and over hers in her mind. No, he wasn't grace but his personality completed her in her dullness. That which was clearly made up in vibrant art they both pieced around their new den. Closing her eyes she could still smell that delectable carcass they shared before joining the pack. Such a sickeningly sweet aroma that lingered in their home.

Placing the final piece she knew he had found it, the completion of his wandering mind. Surely, he would have figured this out on his own but, where was the love in letting one stew for eternity over a combined effort? No, Brushed Death wasn't the type, nor kind to let her mate feel defeated. A simple claw in the right direction with a touch of security was all he needed.

"Yes, my darling it is deep and expressive. A true work of art from only one who could create such depth". She paused with a softness strung with dark intent picturing their brood leaving feathers everywhere. "Such warmth and yet such happiness we shall bring into this pack with our love under the pale moon. Yes, my love chicks shall make this den even more alive". Feeling his feathers around her she smiled letting him lean in close to whisper in her ear, "One perfect dark family my darling. Yes, a perfect harmony filled with such wonders", She couldn't help but lean her head into his being this close. Such perfect mates united in darkness and the abyss.

As he pulled away her heart skipped a beat, but she understood work was taking priority in the current situation. Still, she wasn't considering herself a glutton for wanting more close contact. In fact, its what caused her heart to beat even faster. Then she paused remembering one thing that truly stumped her. "Yes, my love I do have something of dismay to seek an opinion on". Perhaps it was just everything catching up with her. Leading him over to another canvas she tilted her head. This creation seemed rather finished and yet perfection stood further away then she would have liked. It was a conundrum indeed but, perhaps her Dark Weaving saw something she hadn't. "What do you see my darling love? Something just isn't sitting right with it".
