Royal Class

Queen: The queen is the highest ranking member of the pack. Usually the Queen passes down the role to one of her daughters, but in the case of no suitable female heirs, she must marry the next King to gain this role.
King: The Queen's mate. This title may occasionally be passed down.

Heir: The next possible ruler of the pack. Usually female, but occasionally males will take this role. Males must find a mate before they can become king, but females may become queen without a mate.
Prince/Princess: Non-heir children of the Queen - they do not have to be children of the king
Regent: Parents of the King/Queen.

High Class

Lord/Lady: Siblings to the kings and queens if they do not take on another rank.
Noble: Members of the Queen's inner circle. This rank is passed down as a birthright, so any children or mates of nobles will be considered noble. Nobles may take other ranks, but will still be considered of Noble birth and may return to this rank at any time.
Elder: Members of the pack that have retired from their job but are still willing to teach the younger generation. They are considered high class for their knowledge of their field, but the title is not passed down, but aged into by any member.

Hunter: These members will leave the safety of the cave more often than others to hunt for larger prey to feed the pack, but a majority stay within the pack to fish in the waters or obtain food in some other way.

Guard: ensure the safety of the pack. They keep a close eye on both internal crime and outside attacks. When there's nothing else going on, they train and spar, or aid the hunters.
Sentry: the eyes of the pack. While the pack isolated, the sentries are charged with being alert for internal crime as well as warning the pack of external attack. They work closely with the guards but are less about defending in combat and more about spotting danger before or as it arises.

Merchant: traders that leave the pack to trade items the artisans make with the items miners find. They leave in caravans and are often out of the pack for months at a time.
Artisan: The artists of the pack. They receive items from the miners (and sometimes hunters) to craft items suitable to trade with.

Mortician: These members deal with the dead of the pack. Their job is secretive, so limits itself based on the population.
