Every time a mob is defeated, they do -5 auto damage to you! If you need help in your RP, remember you can tag it as SOS. If you are a Y1 student, they only do -2 auto damage.

A part of Chance wished he'd brought the manacle with him, if only because he had the sinking feeling that things were not going to turn out well so long as he was trapped here in this - place - and surely things were going to go straight to the dogs. But the other part of Chance - arguably the more sensible part of him - reminded him that the last time he had used the manacle, the following twenty-four hours had resulted in a great deal more discomfort and pain than he had expected. It hadn't helped that Otto had made things temporarily worse, but overall, the cost versus benefits had yet to be determined.
Still. It would have been nice to have the manacle in a place like this so that he wouldn't have had to deal with whatever inevitable pain would stem, but since he didn't have it, the point was moot.
What he did have was Asher, which was reassuring, even if Chance didn't have Otto, which was less reassuring. He wasn't even sure if Otto was trapped here in the tower with him or if he was somewhere else entirely, back on the island, maybe; he had no cell phone service to try and check, since that had been the first thing he had done.
It was worrisome.
Chance was not used to worrying.
He rounded a corner at the end of a hallway, Chance's feet light on the ground, tiptoeing with the utmost caution, the bow held between firm fingers as he lifted it in preparation. Up ahead, there was a movement; Asher made a warning sound inside of his head, a soft trilling noise, and Chance fired off the first arrow, listening to it zing through the air.
Any more?
{ - just up ahead, I believe - }

There was a hallway up ahead with a series of doors on either side that curved into a second and then a third hallway, all lined with doors. It reminded Chance rather intensely of the dormitory building at Deus; he wondered if that was what this was, different room accommodations, his foot nudging at one of the doors to try and pry it open.
Someone was at the end of the hallway. Chance whirled around, his coat flying, and fired off an arrow.

Anything else?
{ - it's difficult to tell - }
Chance manuvered himself around another corner and found himself in a wide expanse of space that seemed to be nothing but an open area with a great deal of various items on shelves that lined a large ring. A training area, perhaps? It seemed that way; there were blunted weapons and mats and all sorts of strange looking things that could have possibly been used to practice sparring with.
A figure emerged from a side door. Chance pivoted, fingers already wrapping around the wire of his bow, tugging it back with an easy yank and letting loose another arrow, Asher crooning inside of his head.

He'd barely managed the last shot. Chance hastily restrung his bow, hearing Asher say something but not catching it, stumbling back a little as one of the figures lurched towards him, a hand swiping at his upper arm. It knocked his aim a little askew, but not enough to deter him; the arrow caught in the figure's stomach and dropped him in an instant.
"Well, then," said Chance. "Let's move on, shall we?"

 Behind the mirror is none other than Deus Island as it actually should have been. It confirms that you are trapped within this dream, as you look closer to the mirror. Examining it reveals it is just a mirror, and shattering it well-
- After a while it rebuilds itself. You are stuck here.
The mirror shifts. You can see, was that horsemen meandering the island? They seem to be destroying things, and you are stuck here, unable to save your home, unable to stop them.

He found the mirror but it made no sense to him.
Or at least, it made sense and it didn't at the same time. Chance stared at the reflection he could see; at the island, just out of his grasp, right there in front of him and possibly with Otto on it, if Otto was not trapped in this hellish nightmare of a place already.
There were Horsemen on the island. Chance frowned, leaning a little closer, trying to see better, but there wasn't exactly a zoom function. He wasn't going to try and break it, just in case this was the only option there was to get back, but what else was he supposed to do? Just stand here?
It was annoying. Chance tapped at the glass gingerly with the end of his bow, a clicking noise that sounded like ice in a glass.
{ - I can't get us back there, either - }
Irritating, thought Chance, and Asher made a noise of assent.
{ - there has to be another way - }
"If there is, I just don't know where it is, but whatever it is..." Chance trailed off, heaving a sigh as he glanced around the room, eyes narrowing. "Whatever it is, I'm going to find it and figure it out, and then I'm going to get out of here."
And he was going to go home.
