(( time flies when you're having fun... And sleeping xd ))
The sun was shining through the window early the next morning, and it crept across the carpeted floor, over the popcorn from the night before and rested on the two Skull Monkeys curled up in each other's arms on the old sofa... Static played silently across the television.
Slowly Jen opened his eyes with a smile and didn't even take a fraction of a second to know that Dan was still there.... you see, he had dreamed of the blue haired man all night... it was hard to forget something that you couldn't stop thinking about.
Jen pulled back his head to look at the Sm currently wrapped up in his muscular arms. He saw a handsome, smiling, version of the face that he had grown up loving... but this one was so much better... this one seemed to love him back. He grinned ear to ear and leaned over planting a soft kiss on Dan's nose (such a hansome well structured nose) and then slowly and gently unwrapped himself from the other man's embrace. He managed to get up off the sofa without waking Dan (or so it seemed) and then negotiated his way around the popcorn to the kitchen door...
breakfast was in order... Had Dan ever told him what kind of breakfast he liked? .... Surely eggs were ok? ... Wait! Didn't they already have this conversation once? ... Jen cursed himself in the doorway of the kitchen and face-palmed his darkish complexion in reprimand and thought...
He turned and looked back at Dan sleeping (or seemingly sleeping) on the sofa and decided that he'd make a large breakfast with plenty of choices just in case. And then with a smile normally reserved for Jim, Jen stepped into the kitchen and raided the refrigerator.

Dan was a heavy sleeper by nature and, comfortable as he was in Jen's arms, the sunlight blaring from the window didn't phase him in the least. It was only as Jen made his escape that Danton began to awaken, muttering indecipherable protests as his pillow slipped away but drifting off once more almost the moment his bed stopped moving, head pillowed on his arms.
He hardly moved a muscle until the smell of a home made breakfast drifted into the living room. Cracking an eye and frowning when he realized Jen was no longer with him, he lifted his head just enough to peer towards the kitchen, smile returning as he recognized the figure moving within.
With a powerful yawn, he sat up, lazily running a hand through his haid before climbing to his feet and making his way to the kitchen. Stepping up behind Jen, he looped his arms around the other man's waist, pressing a kiss of greeting just beneath his ear before peeking over his shoulder. "Whatcha cooking?"

Jen sighed and helplessly grinned viciously... "Breakfast... You want some?" He put down the pan he had been holding and leaned back into Dan, his own hands resting on the other man's... This was the life...
"I made enough for an army I think ... It's no where near necessary but I dinnae ken what you like for breakfast..." He relucantly let go of Dan with one hand and pointed across the countertop at the dishes.... "There's eggs, scrambled and over easy, there's toast and sausage, there's cereal, I could make oatmeal if you wanted some of that... Um... there's all kinds of drinks in here just because we never know who's going to be in here and when... all the younger Smos hang out here a lot... "

"Yes indeed," he replied brightly, but made no move to abandon his position. Instead, he nestled his chin down against Jen's shoulder, turning his hands beneath Jen's to intertwine his fingers with the other man's.
Nonetheless, he murred his approval as Jen pointed out the spread--a sound his stomach echoed moments later, provoking a faint blush--, finally lifting his head and releasing one of Jen's hands to step instead to his side. "And already you're spoiling me. I haven't had a breakfast like this in months..."
Flashing a grin, he stepped to the counter and lifted the nearest dish--which happened to be the eggs--, then started for the table, stubbornly keeping hold of the Jen's hand and tugging the other SM along with him. "Grab the sausages--we'll make two trips."

Jen scooped up the sausages with his newly free hand and allowed Dan to lead him to the table where (conveniently) plates, napkins, cutlery, and two glasses had already been set there earlier.
He set the sausage plate down on the table and smiled at the situation... last night he had been content to sit on the sofa and pretend to watch a movie... but this was ever so much better.
He pulled out the chair nearest the window and let go of Dan's hand so that he might go back to the counter to retrieve more food. He hadn't gotten more than two steps before he spun back around. "We'll be wanting toast as well I spose.... what's your favourite spread? Jam? Honey? Butter?" He stopped to think a second, curling his finger around his nose in thought... "I dinnae recall seeing any peanut butter, but we might have some none-the-less... " He fairly skipped back into the kitchen, returning seconds later with a jug of orange juice and a pot of coffee... "Not decaf ... Dinnae ken what good coffee is if'n it doesnae wake you up."

After setting the plate of eggs down on the table, Danton reluctantly released Jen's hand, chuckling softly as he watched the other SM prance back into the kitchen. He followed after a moment to help carry the assorted toast toppings, side stepping out of the way as Jen returned with the orange juice and coffee and ducking into the kitchen once the way was clear.
Only moments later her wandered back through the door towards the table, arms full of such things as jellys and jams and butters and whatnot, as well as cream and sugar for the coffee--not to mention a box of cereal tucked under one arm. "Annnnd, I think we've successfully emptied the fridge. Er...think we can fit it all on the table?"

Jen surveyed the table with a conerned expression... "Sure why not?... If not then we can just eat some of it here before it even makes it to the table... " He laughed... "there's also a Telly tray or two around here that we could set up... but I dinnae ken."
He set the coffee pot on the table and poured himself a glass of orange juice before allowing it to find a resting place on the far side of the coffee.
"This is a lovely way to wake up in the morning." He smiled up at Dan. "Sit down why dinnae? You're making me a little nervous..." He really didn't think that Dan would just up a leave, but if he sat down then that was one more link in the Dan-Jen chain. Jen smiled... Dan-Jen... Cute.

Shrugging, Dan attempted to find places for each jar in turn and, with a bit of effort--and lots of careful balancing on his part given the extent of his load--managed to fit everything somewhere or other. "No need for 'telly' trays," he assured Jen with a wink.
Chuckling softly, he stepped around to his take his seat, afterwards reaching for the orange juice and pouring himself a glass before returning it to it's place. He didn't have much choice in the matter, given the mass covering the table top. "Sorry about that. It really is... However, next time, if you wake first, wake me up and make me come cook--I want to treat you." Flashing a smile, he reached for the plate of eggs, forking some of each onto his own plate before offering the rest to Jen.

Jen gladly accepted the eggs with a smile as his stomach rumbled. He spooned a generous helping onto his own plate, then leaned over towards Dan as he placed the eggs down on the only open spot on the table...
"It's a deal. Next time I wake you up and you can make a fool of yourself emptying the household of all the food you can get your hands on." He laughed. "This is a little absurd I'll admit."
His plate managed to find itself sporting eggs, a peice of toast covered in honey, half a granola bar, two sausages, syrup, and a generous helping of bacon, and he laughed as he leaned back into Dan to give him a proper kiss before either of them got too bogged down in eating.
"So far this is my favourite morning."

Laughing, he shook his head, meanwhile filling his plate in much the same manner as Jen's, save that he substituted the granola bar with a third sausage and slathered his toast in strawberry jam.
"Absurd? This is bloody brilliant. You're mad if you think any meal I cook would be half this good. I'd probably end up sneaking out for Waffle House," he admitted thoughtfully.
He gladly returned the kiss, parting somewhat reluctantly only when Jen pulled away, though his smile never faded. "I think I'd have to second that... I can't even think of close competition." Which, of course, meant he was going to try to, meanwhile spearing one sausage on his fork and thoughtfully taking a bite.

Jen watched Dan eat with a dreamy look on his face... he was totally preocupied with the moment and was thuroughly enjoying just being in the other man's presence.... Jen sighed and rested his head in his hand elbow on the table, fork full of eggs resting on the plate. It was a good day and nothing could take his mind off of right now...
"HEY! It snowed!" ...... ..... .... ... A young voice from the living room broke the silence, and seconds later the owner of the voice came pounding into the kitchen. His hair was short and balck and VERY curly, his shirt was way too big (very obviously one of Keppit's black pumpkin T-shirts), His ears were large and furry, His eyes were two different colours- one blue one brown, and his shoes were untied and on the wrong feet. "DAD!" He pointed back into the room where he had just been. "It snowed in there! Did you see that?"
Jen turned and smiled at the little skull monkey child... "It's popcorn kid... My fault. I'll clean it up later. Come in here and have some breakfast please, I want you to meet someone."
For the first time since he had entered the room Jim looked around. He saw the breakfast and his dad and anther man. ... ... ... ... He smiled and ran up to the table, jumped up into a chair, stood and reached for a cereal bowl. "This is a lot of food.... Elbows off the table, Dad."
Jen blushed, unpropped his head and removed his elbow from the table... "Jim, kid, this is Dan... he's Isto's brother. You remember Isto?"
Jim looked over at Dan and shrugged. "Nope. But I like that guy's hair."
((Jim is roughly 4 or 5 heart ))

Thankfully, Dan failed to notice said dreamy stare, else he might have blushed and not spoken a word for the entire meal. As it was, he continued his meal in contemplative silence, trying to think of a past situation that could rival his evening and morning.
And then, in the middle of the summer, it had snowed. Dan quirked a brow, glancing towards the voice's source with his mouth still full of eggs, chewing thoughtfully as the boy came into sight. At the shouted 'Dad' and Jen's response to such title, it quickly became apparent who exactly this boy was.
Smiling, he returned his attention to his meal, glancing up again only when he was introduced to the boy. Laughing, he set down his fork and offered a hand in greeting. "Thanks, I like your hair too. Nice to meet you, Jim."

JIm grinned and fumbled the cereal bowl down onto the table in front of him. At the same time he reached out and took Dan's hand and shook it with a child's enthusiasim. This guy was cool in his opinion. He had blus hair, and he was treating Jim like an adult... what was he eating?
"Do you like cereal?" Jim leaned forward and tried to see if Dan was eating any kind of cereal in particular.
Meanwhile Jen got up and retrieved a carton of milk out of the fridge for his son. This wasn't his ideal setting for introducing Dan to the 'other man' in his life, but this was how it was going to be. So he sat down with a smile and thought.... could be worse.

"Mn, sometimes," he admitted, glancing to his plate and lack of cereal altogether. He picked absently at his eggs with his fork, flashing Jim a grin. "But not when I have hot food to stuff myself with. Cereal's for lazy days." Or days when it was all that he could afford. Whichever came first.
"Try the sausages," he instructed brightly, pointing with his fork towards them before stabbing a bite of eggs and popping it into his mouth. "Your dad's a great cook."

Jim rolled his eyes at the thought of his dad being a great anything but he settled down in his chair as Jen stabbed a smaller sausage and put it on a plate for the boy. This man said that the sausage would be good then the sausage would be good... He also allowed his father to pour him a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice.
"I gots a pair of roller skates from Ranald yesterday. I dinnae know how to use them yet but I think I can learn. I might even use them to jump off the wall outside." He looked up at Jen as he said the last words... The first part of the statement had been for Dan, Jen had been there when the skates were gifted, but the second part was a test for his father... which he didn't pass...
"You will not!... you ken I dinnae want you jumping off anything else! You're gonnae break your legs or your arms or your head!" He sat down with a huff. He wasn't normally so protective...
