Hello,
This is a thread purely about LV monsters! Now, I'm sure that many of you have a lot of say about some of the monsters, that are in the level series. So, I've decided to make a thread dedicated to them! I'll be frequently keeping track of this discussion, if it becomes popular.
The topic of a specific level monster will change every few days, or so.
Today's Monster:
Armed Dragon LV7
Dragon/Effect
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Armed Dragon LV 5". Send 1 Monster Card from your hand to the Graveyard to destroy all face-up monsters on your opponent's side of the field with and ATk equal to or less then the ATK of the sent monster.
ATK 2800/ Def 1000
Pro's and Con's? Who's this monster's worst enemy, when it comes to Level monsters? Discuss it all here!
New! - What do you think of Armed Dragon LV 7, Bazoo the soul eater, and Dimension fusion?

Lvl 7 is good for destroying all sorts of weaker annoying monsters on the opponents field. All you have to do is be to save a really strong monster to discard later in the duel and pull it out the grave to the field later. Its quite simple.

yugi_gabe Star Akamatsu Hello, This is a thread purely about LV monsters! Now, I'm sure that many of you have a lot of say about some of the monsters, that are in the level series. Lvl 7 is good for destroying all sorts of weaker annoying monsters on the opponents field. All you have to do is be to save a really strong monster to discard later in the duel and pull it out the grave to the field later. Its quite simple. Very simple con to that one... And that's that when most people use Armed Dragon's special effect, their hand mostly contains of monsters. Using his effect, usually means thinning of the hand, unless their packin' big monsters, Like Blue eyes, white dragon. Ensuring the opponent, that theiy had a majority of monster in the hand. Although he may stop monsters, what about Magic and Trap cards that are already placed? All one has to do is stall, snatch it, and use the effect against you. Making Armed Dragon just as lethal against you, as it would be, if it were with you. Not to mention.. If it were flipped face down with effects like book of moon, then attacked/removed by the MS series OR nobleman. What you really want to do, is make sure you have complete field control before you use this behemoth, or else.... You'll be in for some pain, when it's your opponents turn.

Crono_Leonhart Isnt there like...an Armed Dragon Lv 9 or something coming out? There's an Armed Dragon LV10 that comes in the Special Chazz set of the Duelist packs for Yu-Gi-Oh GX. Armed Dragon LV10 Wind Dragon LV 10 3000/2000 effect This Card Cannit Be Normal Summoned Or set. This card Cannot be Special Summoned Except By tributing 1 " Armed Dragon LV7 " On your side of the field. By sending 1 card from your hand to the graveyard, destroy all face-up monsters, on your opponents side of the field. I'll have him be brought into the discussion some other time, but this is what he does. He is basically a lightning vortex, in monster form.

A friend of mine uses Armed Dragons. He intends to use a combo with LV7, Light of Intervention and.. umm.. that trap card that makes your opponent's monsters' defence turn to 0.. 3 cards + you have to discard, but.. it's still very mean.

Oleif A friend of mine uses Armed Dragons. He intends to use a combo with LV7, Light of Intervention and.. umm.. that trap card that makes your opponent's monsters' defence turn to 0.. 3 cards + you have to discard, but.. it's still very mean. One Question... What the hell is the point of that? O__o; All your friend has to do is discard a freakin' Blue eyes and clear the field. No need to make a monsters' defense 0, when you don't have to go through a monster at all. I'm sorry, but that strategy is a pure waste of cards and time. If you're wanting to destroy face down monsters, then pack the Mystic Swordsman LV2. No need to waste valuable trap space for a continuous trap, that can be easily disposed of. Armed Dragon is capable of doing 2 things. MAKING a Large Swarm, or DESTROYING a large swarm. Tactics, like that, especially with no trample nelly, is a waste of time. He'd just be cleaning his hand out for no reason. Then, boom. The opponent top decks a snatch steal, uses the effect against you, and then your friend loses. <.<; Protecting your LV 7 - LV 10 is KEY to make Armed Dragon decks work. If he dies, while you're attempting to make a strategy work, then it's all over. But I can say this... If he's running the big 7, he should just concentrate around a Dragon deck altogether. Dragon's Rage and Light of Intervension could prove to be a nice combo. MAKE SURE, that King Dragun is on the field, to prevent those ugly cards, like Snatch Steal and whatnot. Then, with your monsters protected against a majority of traps and spells, and the big AD LV7, you're bound to win. Using King Dragun's effect to special summon Armed Dragon LV5 from your hand, then leveling him up to LV7 could do some pretty quick damage. The only cards that are commonly packed, that you'd have to worry about are Divine Wrath and Mirror Force for traps, and Lightning Vortex for spells. Basically, anything that - doesn't - target dragons. Making Armed Dragon LV 7 in my opinion. One of the top 3 Level Monsters in the game.

yugi_gabe Isn't there a Despair monster that reborns to the field when its been discarded from your hand? Despair from the dark's effect won't work for armed dragon, because Despair has to be discarded from the deck/hand by OPPONENT'S card effect. Discarding your own Despair from the dark to activate AD's effect, won't special summon him. So, the only way it would be special summoned are opponents monster/spell effects, like Card Destruction, Vampire Lord, Don Zaloog, Etc.

ryobakura another un-realized LV monster: WINGED KURIBOH LV10!!! Lv10... so where are Lvs 2-9? We think that Yugioh may have forgotten about it... Well, it's because Winged Kuriboh isn't much of a threat, since there are 100 billion ways to stop him. <.<;
