PROMPT RESPONSESo far down in the lake the sunlight was a soft diffuse glow. Those once golden rays from above were only blue in this water now; and the deeper you got the less light there was. The rocks were silhouettes in the dim and this was where an orange and white scaled, elder winiko slept, hidden in a cave.

She did not sleep sound, for every surface ripple she sensed her body twitched. It was a long day for the ‘drowner,’ a successful day in her mind. Belly full, she stretched her aquatic body and turned over. Her cave was packed with all kinds of this and that she had salvaged off her victims and their bones.

SPLASH!

Nori’s eyes grew wide, she listened. Too small to be a demon she thought but it was something to investigate none the less. The koi demon rippled her body and sank into the murky water.

Once at the cave entrance she focused in the direction of the sound and could see what looked to be a summoning amulet, slowly drifting to the bottom. With grace she quickly swam, flicking her tail back and forth.

Reaching out she grabbed it just before it hit the bottom, a sand cloud swirled up.

“Well well little one, mother would like you to come home...”

Aedan grabs a crayon and scribbles "FREE TO A GOOD WHATEVER HOME!!!" at the top of the entry form.

PROMPT: You trip over one of these lost amulets on an abandoned battle field from the time of the war. What happens and WHAT DO YOU DO!? Feel free to use any of your own winis in this RP if you already have some. Have fun!!

Purple stripes stood out against the dark and washed out colors of the abandoned field. A purple cat tail waggled back and forth in agitation, but there was seemingly no head attached. The torso stretched down to touch the earth. "HRUMPH!" grunted Aedan as he pulled out of tunnel and landed with the utmost grace on his butt. "Where the hell is my stash?"

During the wars, he had valiantly guarded a 1 lb gummy bear. After the fighting, he stashed it away for fear of rationing amongst the soldiers. Bearzilla had been forgotten until recently, so Aedan set out on his mighty quest. He would rescue the candy... then shove it into his face hole.

Aedan moved down about three feet and started to dig again. It was all broken rocks and clumped soil until his claws struck something hard. An amulet, reddish orange in color albeit a bit dusty, plopped against his leg and settled in the dirt below him. Aedan's eyes widened, his mouth grimaced, and his body was gripped in a paralyzed fear. "No. NO no nono NO Nooooo, I say, NO!" He tried to quickly back again from the amulet; however, the cord was caught on one of his claws. The amulet followed along until Aedan backed into a tree stump. "HELP!"

Aedan took a deep breath, cleared his head, and untangled himself the amulet. It was still inanimate at this point; he was safe. The elder shuddered as he thought of the orange floaty thing that he had summoned after a night of booze and shenanigans. "Ugh," he grumbled. "No more little bitey things."

Rising to his feet, Aedan shook the dust from his coat then kicked the amulet as hard as he could before turning to head back into his candy quest. The amulet ricocheted off of a large rock and clonked the wini in the back of the head. Aeden bit the ground hard and spat out dirt. "Whaaaaaaa? Hoooow??? Noooooooo," he whined, bouncing around like a little girl. "GETOFFOFMEEEE!" However, the cord of the amulet had wrapped tightly around his horn. "....damn. Well, I guess I'll find someone to pawn you off on, then."

The amulet gave off a soft but evil red glow as if laughing at Aedan's misfortune...

Sticking to cover for the most part, Kaliska darted from shadow to shadow, crossing the open area furtively. Even if it was long abandoned, the mere aura of battle and conflict hung over the area, making her shiver beneath her fur. Some may call her a coward...she preferred 'wisely cautious', thanks. After all, she was still here, still alive after a war that claimed so many lives.

Her paw hit something she hadn't seen, causing her to stumble and her heart to leap into her throat in panic. Oh spirits, I don't wanna' die, plzdon'tkillme... Fur standing on end, Kaliska finally managed to remind herself that she was alone and that she'd likely just tripped over a rock; highly unlikely that it would jump up and kill her. Of course, when she looked back, it wasn't a rock that she found. Puzzled for a moment, she tip-toed back to the object, half-buried in the earth, and peered at it before pawing the soil away carefully. An amulet?

Here?

She lifted the amulet gingerly with a single claw, the soil falling away like rain. Rusty colored...was that bl--?

Nope, nope nope nope. Course not. Clearly it was just red...yes, that. She swallowed hard, looking around the abandoned field. No, no one around. No one had just...left this here, right? Had it been abandoned as well? A forgotten, innocent bystander of a long ago struggle, left here to fend for itself...

Frowning, Kali settled back on her haunches, reaching up to loop the amulet around one of her horns. Well...can't just leave you all alone out here by yourself. Maybe one of my contacts will know something about you. Or if not... The thought trailed off and the wartime messenger glanced around warily before slipping back into cover and darting off through the shadows.
