Cody was out enjoying his boating trip with a few friends till something went wrong with the engine and while they were trying to fix it some of the gasoline had spilled and before long the fire broke out. They tried to get the lifeboat out when an explosion knocked Cody into the water. The ship soon completely broke a part as Cody drifted towards an island. He landed on the shore, outcold as he was laying in the wash as the sun began to rise off in the distance. Cody Mikao 20

 Cynder, a young dragon, was eating her lunch of fruit and some berries that grew around on the island. She was the only dragon around for miles, and as a result, was very lonely. She was finishing up when she heard the explosion. When she got to the beach, she saw Cody, out cold and soaking wet. She dragged him onto shore and made a fire for him all the while curling around him as she had brought him to her home. She was about the size of a Clydesdale foal. Luckily she was a vegetarian type of dragon so she had gathered some food for Cody as she waited for him to awaken. She nudged him a couple times after a while, trying to wake him and trying to prove that not all dragons were bad.

Cody was out for a while as he slept but when she was nudging him now and then, he thought it over. He began to start waking up, and one of the first things he noticed was something red and purple but as the blurriness changed, he gasped sitting up and moving away a bit in surprise of the dragon, "You... you're a dragon!?" He asked not realizing that he would be able to hear her if she spoke.

Cynder roared saying "Why you wet?" She asked as she was still very young. She then sniffed at him a bit while stretching her neck out to him before seeing he was scared of her. "Me no hurt you. Me save you from big water." She said referring to the sea when she said big water. She then went over to some food and picked up a pear that grew on the island, before she cautiously went over to him and placed the pear in his lap before she backed off and said "Hungry?" before she got her own pear so she could eat too. This was where she was born, but ever since the day she got sick and died, Cynder had been alone. So naturally seeing Cody was a welcomed sight unaware that he was her rider. As she ate, pear juice came out of her mouth wetting the outside of her mouth and making small smacking noises as she lifted her head so the fruit would go to the back of her throat before she swallowed the mashed bits and pieces of fruit. There wasn't much fruit left in the cave as she had yet to try any kind of meat so she would need to get more.

Cody looked at the dragon with confusion as she began to speak, her words echoed in his head, "How... how are you talking in my mind!?" He asked speaking aloud as he still backed away, seeing that she was eating fruit. He had heard that she wasn't going to hurt him but he was still nervous since he didn't believe that dragons were real.

Cynder finished her food before she heard him talking to her? She tiled her head at him. She sniffed at him smelling his cologne on him. She loved the smell. She got up and went over to a small garden where her mother's body once was. She pulled out some weeds that were growing and said "Mama feel better....." as she sadly sniffed the flowers that were growing. Cynder missed her mother and was all alone. She was the last dragon on this island. She was born here. She couldn't fly so she couldn't very well leave. Cynder hated being alone here. She then sighed as she seemed to be praying. She whimpered a bit as she looked at the flowers that grew all over what seemed to be a dragon shaped mound. Cynder wasn't strong enough to move her mother's body, so while the body decomposed, she stayed away while the flowers grew.

(Sorry about the wait) Cody looked at her when she moved closer to sniff him which he was a bit worried a bit before he noticed taht she got up and walked to the mound of dirt. He looked at it and was sad as he weakly got up. He noticed that she was said but he gently walked over to her, placing a hand on her side, "Im sorry about this." He said softly thinking that it was never easy losing someone who you loved.

Cynder was the size of a Clydesdale foal, but she would get to the size of a full grown one if she was lucky. She was hatched a runt but because she was the only egg that survived, her mother raised her to the best of her ability. Cynder then looked at Cody and said "Me alone.....Island very big but no one here." She then got up and went over to the door of the cave and laid down looking up at the moon and stars that were coming out.

Cody looked at her when she spoke, he thought it over as he moved to her, knelling next to her when she was laid down, "Your not alone now... you saved my life and I really can't leave so I can happily stay here if you want." He offered kindly to her gently petting her side.

Cynder looked at Cody as he said he'd stay with her. As he was petting her side, her tail began to wag a bit like a dog's tail would. She nuzzled his arm a bit. Her scales were soft to the touch since she was still young but they would harden as she grew. They were somewhat tough but not sharp enough to break the skin. she started purring a bit as he pet her before she buried her face in his chest not wanting him to leave.
