It was night. The moon was only a sliver in the sky, and offered little light to the quiet lands of the Pridelands. The pride that was a symbol of what worked for a pride, with its prosperity and strength. Though the old king never flexed that power to his use, it was there, impossible to deny. There were many that hated the Pridelands merely for existing, and this god was one of them.

He hated many things, and nearly none of his hatred made sense. He was a walking contradiction, constantly changing his opinion and actions at every whim. Dathcharu'kai was not one to be trifled with, and his silence in the mortal lands would be ending soon.

Still, he did not know what the future held. He was no seer, and would never dare consider asking a seer what they saw. Most of the time they were wrong, anyway, and if he didn't like what they said, he'd kill them. He was no bleeding heart, but he relished in making hearts bleed.

As he walked silently, he could hear the soft rumble of snoring. Sleeping in such peace, with such a pitiful amount of 'soldiers' to protect them. He shrouded himself in illusion, looking like a scraggly old lion returning to his den. Instead, Dath was looking for the perfect candidate.

And there they were. Sleeping peacefully, as if there was not a single wrong in the world. Dath did not care what their story was, nor of their lineage. They would become something useful to him, to begin this long, arduous process that required patience. Dath was not a patient being, but for this to be successful, he had to be.

He was sowing the seeds, and one day soon they would heed his call.

He chuckled to himself as he walked away, his tail bobbing happily behind him. To anyone who may see him, he looked like an odd, if happy, old greying lion, laughing to himself in the dead of night.

On the inside, he knew that he had planted a seed for a new agent of chaos.

((note: tho its ambiguous here, the god mule will know exactly who he cursed. secrets!))
