Kimondo paced by the water hole. It was barely dawn as the sun slowly peeked over the horizon, casting a pink hue upon the world below i but the lioness was making a big decision. Or trying to anyway.
She sighed and paused in her pacing to look towards the rising sun. Why? Why was she questioning her heart. She never did it before. Kimondo rarely let things eat away at her but this...this was a big, no, GIGANTIC decision for her. Something that would change her life as she knew it. She couldn't just think upon it lightly. She couldn't just trust her heart though it begged her to just go. No, she needed to make sure she was doing the right thing.
Getting frustrated with herself she huffed and moved to the water edge to look at her reflection. The murky silhouette of her face appeared, but like her thoughts, it was undefined and hazy. Slapping the water with a paw she paced into the liquid a few steps before lowering her head to drink its coolness. Maybe it would help clear her thoughts?
What she really needed was someone to talk to. Someone who might understand her yearnings and be able to help her come to a decision.
