There wasn’t a day that passed that Sekmes didn’t love spending it in the Pridelands. He had been scoping out the area to see if it was safe enough for his daughter to live, and the loving atmosphere that greeted him brought joy to his heart. If only he could have brought her here to see it for herself! Bouncing back on his heels, he saw a troop of Hunters and Huntresses making their way back onto the communal ground. So, being as he was, he took the form of a lion himself to walk down and speak to them.

In that pack of hunters, Makaneo yawned and shook her head. The hunt had gone well, and she was content. Chatting idly with another lioness, she perked up when her friend became distracted. Ears twitching, she looked over to see the approaching male. Who was that? Her steps slowed as she faced his approach, a few others pausing as well. "Hello, stranger. Welcome to the Pridelands."

It wasn’t as if he hadn’t at least tried to blend, but that wasn’t very easy when you were Sekmes. Even as a mortal he was large, and he hadn’t gotten rid of his accessories, so that might have seemed out of place in the warmth of the Pridelands. Still, this lioness seemed to welcome him and for that he was grateful. “Hello! Please, don’t call me a stranger, call me Sekmes, and thank you so much for welcoming me.” He beamed. “I’m looking for a pride for my daughter to settle in, and I’m just trying to get a feel of this one by talking to its members. Can I ask who you are, and what your opinion is?”

Her brow rose at the wide smile she was given. "Oh, um, Sekmes is is, then." For having suddenly popped in, he was oddly cheerful. But, who was she to say how happy he should be. Her head cocked as the questions came, feeling the rest of the hunting party heading on. "Well, let's see..." She looked toward the pride she'd grown up in. "You may call me Maka. My opinion..." she chuckled and shrugged a shoulder idly, "is that if I didn't love living here, I'd be somewhere else by now."
