Yachiru was born with a birth defect considered by most a godsend and curse, the fountain of youth effect. For every five years of life her for grows one year it also gives the person an extended lifespan, however this does not mean Yachiru can't get stronger and smarter. For as long as she can remember Yachiru has been on her own but that never bothered her she seemed to always find a way to survive. For ten years this infant like girl traveled the island she'd first found herself on before she decided leave.
Joining the marines was no easy task for though she was old enough to be a cabin boy or in this case girl, no one believed her. Eventually she proved her age and gained a place among their ranks and through the years she had to prove herself over and over again for each new captain. Throughout her early career Yachiru would prove both her deadly wit with strategy as well as her skill with a blade. Some time in the 15 years she has spent in the marines the young woman became attached to Admiral Zaraki and fallowed him even after achieving her current rank of Vice Admiral.

She is often seen latched onto the back of Kenpachi Zaraki, just over his left shoulder and is somewhat territorial about this position. She can be intimidating at times, especially when annoyed. Yachiru resents being criticized in any way and will often attack the perpetrator. Further reflecting her child-like nature, Yachiru likes to give people nicknames. Name: Rankyaku [Storm Leg] Description: Is a powerful projectile technique, in which the users start by kicking atvery high speedsand strength, sending out a sharp compressed air blade that can slice objects and greatly damagea human body. However, ithas been shown that almost anylength of appendage(such as a tail or neck) athigh velocities are also capableof this move. Kenpachi uses this for with his sword.
The Geppo (月歩, Geppō ? , literally meaning "Moon Step") allows the users to actually jump off the air itself, allowing them to stay in the air for much longer than usual. CP9 members can use this technique to cross great distances without ever touching the ground, or set themselves up for swift, aerial attack
Name: Soru [Shave] Description: Allows the usersto move atextremelyhigh speeds in order to avoid attacks, as well as to attackathigher speeds and with greater power. It was revealed thatthe principle ofthis move wasto kickoff the ground at least ten times in the blinkof an eye. The fact that other people, outside of CP9 membership haveexhibited being ableto imitate the skill (either bycopying the movedirectly or developed their own version ofit) suggests that Soru mightbe themost fundamental of Rokushiki.
Name: Tekkai [Iron Mass] Description: Hardens the users' muscles to the level ofiron, in order to nullifydamagetaken from attacks. When Tekkai is active, theuser is unableto move. The strength ofTekkai can varyfor users with differentphysical conditions, as a person with ahigher level of muscular strength would be ableto takestronger forces and enhance attackswith his/her use ofTekkai. Furthermore, despite theincreased physical densitythat one gains when activating this move, one should remember thatthe user's body is still flesh and blood. Thus, its resistance to other than solid attacks remain pretty much the same, making theuser as vulnerable as ever to certain attacks.
The Shigan (指銃 Shigan?, literally meaning "Finger Gun") is a close-quarter combat technique, in which the user pushes their finger into a certain target at a very high speed, leaving a wound similar to a bullet wound, making guns unnecessary. It is a very useful technique that can connect rapidly and accurately, which works well with the rokushiki users' impressive speed and agile techniques. However it's never been used to counter or deflect another powerful attack in any fights, which is probably because the user could easily break his finger instead of just blocking it with Tekkai. The Shigan's shape is derived from the shape of the finger, hence the hit of Shigan will have more of an impact on Luffy's rubber body (which normally reflects bullets) if it is sharper than the round bullet and resembles more modern bullets. A sharper point is added to this technique when Lucci, Jabra and Dalmatian morph into their half-beast forms, enabling the use of their claws to fire the Shigan like an actual modern bullet, instead of simply jabbing their opponent. So far, it seems each CP9 member has their own version of Shigan, aside from Blueno, Nero, and Spandam, the latter two not even knowing how to use the technique. In the FUNimation dub, this technique keeps its original name, and in the Viz manga and FUNimation subs, this is called Finger Pistol.
