Information on Imprints and Human Consorts.
What is an Imprint? -
*An imprint is to find your mate and keep him or her forever. Not letting anyone have him or her. . You imprint by tasting your partners blood and if with a human it maybe through blood and emotion.If a Vampyre drinks from another human and has an emotional bond with them, then it is possible for the imprint to break. Which note: is painful. When a Vampyre dies, his/her human consort is adversely affected, often to the point of death. (Also, imprints can be with other Vampyre's as well. Not just humans.)
What is a Human Consort? -
*A Human Consort is the official title of a human Imprinted with a vampyre. But this is like a love affair-type-deal. The Human Consort feeds the Vampyre when needed. When the Vampyre is wounded or just in need of a feeding. But please remember, a feeding can be a pleasurable experience for both human and vampyre. So do not forget that.
Now imprints are a special blood-bond between two beings. Whether it be Human and Vampyre or Vampyre and Vampyre. The imprint can be broken when the Vampyre drinks with another being (Human or Vampyre) or when the Vampyre or Human is killed. Which is a painful experience for both beings. Some cases have led to death with the imprint to where both being die, but most cases the Human will die do to the imprint being broken.
Human consorts are for when the Vampyre has a human lover, to have them in the world of Vampyres, being a consort is the only way possible. This is an emotional and is also an imprinted bond between vampyre and Human. Even if a vampyre feeds from another, as long as the vampyre doesn't have feeling the imprint wont break with the Consort.
Remember, a Vampyre can have a lover, imprint/ Human Consort. It's not pick and choose. So if it happens, it does. Sometimes the lover will not be happy about the imprint or Human consort, but that is where the lover will have to deal. Sometimes the Vampyre will pick and choose and that is okay too. Not all Vampyre's have to have a Human Consort. It is your choice. There is only one consort per Vampyre and one imprint. So choose wisely it is difficult to break these bonds.
