- ✿ █ ... 》 This recounts the story about how Royal Haven was founded and how Luixa's ancestors secured the throne.
✿ █ ... 》Once, long ago, before the golden family ruled the kingdom, there was a tyrant from a line of kings as strong as wolves and as black as the crows. He cared naught for the mice who begged his protection from the beasts of land and air, nor for the pleas of those being sold and taken to be given to the scattered underground kingdoms of rats. He cared only for himself and his kin, and he stood atop a throne of bones and viscera and proclaimed himself king of all the land.
He was purely evil, and utterly unstoppable. None could find the strength to battle him alone, and those who gathered were too fearful to fight in tandem. He destroyed families and was rumored to not believe in the beloved gods, and found strength in the eclipsed suns and moons, proof he worked out of sight of Panya. Many prayed to the gods, begging them to strike down this horrible tyrant who had gained the the throne.
Instead, a young mouse began to gather hope and strength with his village, and the neighboring village, and all those he could reach. His name was as gilded as his fur, and he inspired revolution in all his brothers and sisters. He fought the tyrant's soldiers with his people, leading these rebel armies. With his magic, he was strong, and stronger still was his faith in the gods. He prayed and his magic grew, and soon he was the strongest of all the leaders born under this tyrant. He prayed to Lilla, for his love of his family and his people, to Pirena, for the blood he must spill, to Pepon for the war, to Sain for eventual peace.
The golden mouse stood on the day of the final battle under the blazing sun, with the tyrant standing opposite end. The two warred, one on one, with swords and magic and their bared teeth and claws. With the strength of the people, the golden one slayed the tyrant and was victorious.
On the sacred battleground he and the survivors of the tyrant's most brutal treatments began to rebuild anew, and created the legendary castle Royal Haven, to be a reminder a ruler's place should always be a kindly place to its people. They crowned the young magician with gilded flowers and gemstones, and proclaimed him the king, and fealty to him and his kin forevermore. They would be no tyrant's victims, and believe in their benevolent king who practiced the magic of the gods.
And so, the golden mouse lived and died a wondrous king, his children and grandchildren too, each glorious rulers in their own right....
