Territories Within Phantasma
The Queen's Court. This is the main attraction of Phantasma. The Queen (name not given here) hosts lavish parties and banquets, as well as strange games to play. You will never be without entertainment or interesting conversation.
The St. Valentine Garden. This is the Queen's garden, surrounding her castle for miles and miles - as far as the eye can see. Here you will find fountains, hedge mazes, tiled courtyards with lavish furniture, dances, high tea parties, and strange games.
The Candy Village. Outside of the Eastern Gate of the St. Valentine Garden, there is a picturesque village. It's not made of candy, as the name might imply, but they are the largest producers of candy, baked sweets, frothy delights, drinks, and all things delicious. Always snowing lightly (due to it's location between mountains), this village is full of delights sure to keep you warm!
The Imperial Forest. To the North Gate is the Imperial Forest, full of magical creatures, magic, festivals, and floating lanterns. The trees here are unique and shimmer like jewels!
The Hidden Lake. Location unknown. Said to be home to an underwater city of gold and crystal that is surrounded by bubbles for air supply.
The Monster House and Dark Forest. Located on a dark, lonely path in the woods surrounding both the South and East side. This forest is not owned by the Queen directly, but her twin sister who likes the dark and mysterious. Home to witches, monsters, mysterious villages, and living pumpkins, the Dark Forest is more than reminiscent of Halloween.

Key Characters
Each will be uncovered as you reach their location.

The Queen. Found in The Queen's Court.
The Duke. Found in The St. Valentine's Garden.
The Confectioner. Found in The Candy Village.
Dionysus. Found in The Imperial Forest
The King. Found in The Hidden Lake.
The Duchess and Horrid Hostess. Found in The Dark Forest and The Monster House, respectively.

Other Information
Upon entering Phantasma, you see a small waiting area. The desk is black with a magenta counter and on your left as you come in the door. O your right are strange chairs. The walls are purple, blue, magenta, and turquoise shapes on a black background. The floor is black and white checkered tile, and the ceiling is also checkered tile - but rather than black and white, it's mirror and glass. On the other side of the glass, you see stars against the blackness of space. Directly in front of you is a metal arch, between which stretches a shimmering portal. Between you and the portal is a velvet rope and a bouncer wearing black robes that reach his knees, and black pants tucked into his black boots. Don't even try to mess with him.

You must first approach the desk before being allowed to enter the portal. Before the woman at the counter will even speak to you, you must sign your name in the guest book and read the rules. The rules are on a golden, shimmering sheet of parchment and read:

Welcome to Phantasma.
We are honored to have you as our guests. Phantasma is a wonderful place to visit, though admittedly not 100% safe. So, for the safety and convenience of you and your companions, please observe the following rules...
Stay together. Make sure the entire group stays in the same territory. Do not wander off on your own. Do not remove your tags. These are metal bracelets we must ask you all to wear. They help keep track of your location (should you become lost) and monitor your vitals. If at any time your vitals show signs of danger, we will transport you and your group back to the waiting room for safety. Do not travel beyond the land. Phantasma is an amazing peninsula. While you may visit the listed territories, please do not cross beyond the magical barrier that surrounds the land. How will you know when you reach this barrier? You will see the Phantasma colors shimmering to form an Aurora Wall which you cannot cross.

Failure to follow the rules will result in being transported back to the waiting room. Your group will remain.

Stay as long as you like, and remember the rules! Thank you for choosing Phantasma.

You have read the rules and signed the guest book. You may begin.

Ella St. George, or Jasmine as she wanted to be known, entered through tall and creaky iron gates. Behind her was a small distance of forest. Behind that was mist, and further than that - she knew - was nothing. It had been accident she found this place; she was strolling through thick forest, lost on her way to the next village, and happened to cross between two strange trees whose trunks bore strange patterns, burned into them. She paused, feeling something odd, and shrugged it away. Not much further was the old, twisted form of an oak tree. There was an opening in its trunk, large enough to comfortably fit head and shoulders. Curious, she did just that. Suddenly, there grew a bright light and there she stood, before great iron gates with a small space of forest, then mist, then nothing.

Her boots tapped on firm flagstone as she looked about her, a black leather hand luggage in each hand and a matching mini backpack on her back. It was misty and dim here, too. There were puddles about and the streets were empty, save for a man who was sweeping. Jasmine approached him and smiled. "Excuse me, please. Where am I?"

"The Goblin Market square," he replied in a quiet voice.
"And where is everyone?"
He looked at her and leaned on his broom. "It's the first two hours of the day," he told her, "I expect they're all indoors. The Market always slows down and closes up these two hours so that things can be re-stocked, cleaned, and rested. Why aren't you indoors," he asked.
"I've only just arrived. Where would I go?"
"For you? I recommend Phantasma," he jerked his head back to the black door behind him. It had only an eye painted in pink, purple, silver, and blue-green.
"Thank you," she said. He went on sweeping, pushing bottles from a gutter into a dustpan.

Jasmine didn't know what 'Phantasma' was. A bar? A hostel? A store? But she was hungry and curious, so she decided not to care and opened the door, stepping quickly inside. The door closed behind her.

* * *

Jasmin handed the pen back to the woman behind the counter and slipped the metal brand onto her wrist. A small, sea green light flared to life, then dimmed. "It will measure your heart rate," the woman explained, "track you, stuff like that." The woman fiddled with her hair, already bored. "A safety measure," Jasmine quietly said, "Right."

"Yeah. So, you're gonna have to wait over there in a chair. You need at least three people in a group to be able to travel. A safety measure." The woman came around to Jasmine's side of the counter and picked up her bags, taking them back to the other side and behind a curtain to another room. She returned and explained, "You will get them back as you leave. Let me know if you want refreshment and I will bring you something." She smiled sweetly and pointed to the chairs. Still confused about what was going on, but never a one to shrink from an adventure, Jasmine did as she was told to and sat in the far chair, closest to the shimmering portal. And she waited.

Henry "Beau" Gaudet exited the Myth Masque, staggering slightly. I need a break, he thought to himself, exhausted. He passed by a sweeper and ducked into Phantasma, blinking for a few moments as his eyes adjusted to the lights. He leaned on the counter and touched the brim of his hat in greeting. "The usual, please," he told the woman behind the counter. He'd been coming there for years, but she'd never told anyone her name as far as he knew. He signed the guest book with a flourish and placed the metal band on his wrist, letting the cuff of his jacket fall over it as she handed him his drink. "Here you go, Beau," she said in bored tones, returning to a magazine in front of her. He took the drink from her and crossed the room, his eyes falling on a girl who looked thoroughly confused and curious.

He took the seat beside her. "First time," he asked. She nodded and continued staring at the portal. "I'm Henry Gaudet," he told her, pronouncing his surname like 'go-day.' He offered her his hand, "You can call me Beau. Most people do." She took his and and smiled. "Bo-go," she said to him, "That's what it could be shortened to." His brow furrowed. She was odd, but he liked odd people. "Yes, I suppose," he replied, sitting back. The two lapsed into silence.

It was quiet. There was barely a breeze to rustle her cloak and the scarcity of leaves in the forest found her heart beating solemnly. Miranda breathed deeply, wondering why she had to stumble across such a deserted little scene. Despite the people and the sets and their elaborate decor, the whole atmosphere seemed to emit imbalance and a deep seemingly insatiable loneliness that she could not quite place. If she was any less weary and famished from her travels, she would have passed it without remorse beyond superficial curiosity. The air was thin, but had some sort of miasma about it: caramel, perhaps, and other sickly sweet and enticing delicacies. It was not this that drew her in, nor, as aforementioned, her appetite or fatigue. Her faded VW camper van was parked somewhere nearby, in the first ample clearing she could find, with plenty puffy cotton pillows, curry and chai tea ingredients to last her another week. Yet, the eeriness of it all; the curious frivolities were alluring in such a way irrepressible.

After wandering around and soaking the eye, she entered the first holding: some black door with a curious eye above it: a place named Phantasma. Within it, she first found a set of rules to greet her, then a brightly coloured help desk and two individuals waiting for the ride, or tour, or whatever this was. Amused and hazy, she approached the desk and requested for assistance.

"Pardon me, ma'am, but would you please tell me where I am and whether or not there is some ticket or token to purchase at this point?"

Ariel turned to face the newcomer. "Welcome to Phantasma. We've been waiting for you. Please sign the guest book," she slid the book forward an inch and placed a pen upon the counter, "read the rules," she tapped the parchment, "and I'll fit you with a monitor," she finished, reaching under the counter and placing a metal wristband next to the pen with a click. She beckoned the two guests in the waiting area; they joined her at the counter. "Now that this is all settled, I'm your guide for this trip. You won't require a guide every time, just when your group contains one or more new members. Veterans need not stick with the guide, but new members are encouraged to. If you'll please follow me..." Ariel walked around the counter and led them to the velvet rope separating them from the portal. Here, she arranged them in a single file line, with the man, Beau, at the front. The bouncer pulled a long lever on the floor next to him. The portal began to swirl brightly and quickly, creating a wind in the room that roared loudly in their ears. Ariel raised her voice to speak over the din. "Beau will be the front man, the first to enter and exit the portal as well as the first to cross into territories. You will have to follow his lead. You will be physically unable to enter the portal or any territory if he doesn't do so first. I will stay with you for a little while, but once you find your feet, I will return here. Remember the rules. Beau, if you will..."

The bouncer unhooked the rope; Beau took a running start and - holding his hat onto his head - took a running start, vanishing into the blinding and tumultuous depths of the portal. "Miss Jasmine?" Jasmine gave a nervous smile and - hesitating only very slightly - also opted for a running start; she, too disappeared. Ariel smiled at the newest guest and bowed slightly, extending her arm invitingly toward the portal.

The girl smiled in return of the charming gesture. Frightened, slightly, and very much intrigued, Miranda stepped forward, cautiously, and entered the portal one inch at a time, experiencing the effect of the barrier on her skin fully. It left an otherworldly tingling sensation and, as soon as the liquid-like wall enveloped her entirely, she appeared at another destination altogether. She swayed, faintly, at the sudden change and the bright colours that met with them.

Serenity's wings flutter as the harmless flames appeared around her wings as she landed in an unknown area. As a Fire Fae she felt awkward and shy as she felt so many stares and yet she seen no map nor name to the place she landed in. Her wings flatten against her back as she looked around and soaking in the new area. Her vine sandles made no noise as she walked until she spotted a colorful building with the name Phantasma. Serenity hesitated for a moment but she felt so drawn to the building that her legs started to walk towards it. The large door beckoned her to enter as she pushed it open looking around. Serenity then stopped as she felt rude for entering but she couldn't help it. "Hello..." She called as the desk that was in the center was empty.

Ariel called over the roaring of the portal. "You're just in time!" She ushered the new guest forward and placed a monitor on her wrist. "We'll get the necessary details on the other side!" She gave a flick of the wrist and the guestbook - along with the rules - soared across the room and into her arms. She took the guest by the arm and together they stepped through the portal into a brightly decorated and large - but empty - entrance hall.

Serenity felt dumbfound as she felt someone grab hold of her and yanked her into an elevator. She was shocked as in a split second it was empty and the next she was in this elevator with a strange woman painted all white and with another who was on the other side of her. "Huh." She loomed at the big stack of paper in front of her as she said it was the rules that needed to be follow. Of course Serenity read through it as she then signed the paper. "Umm excised me but where are you taking me? I'm sorry but I hardly have any gold to pay on where you are taking me." Serenity had no clue how she placed herself in this position of not paying. Serenity then looked at an empty hall that was before her. She was confused on what to do next. "Umm this is an empty hall?"

Ariel smiled kindly at the girl. "You don't need payment here. Phantasma is for the pleasure of guests. It's not pleasurable for them to lose money." She took her arm and led her out into the garden. A fountain splashed light pink water merrily as birds of exotic colors sang out from the hedges.
