Physical Description| Standing at a height that is slightly below average, Aoi has an incredibly womanly figure with curves in all the right places,ample breasts and full hips. Her skin is a soft ivory color almost akin to moonlight, and her hair is as dark as the night sky. While she does not seem to be all that muscular, she is fit enough to fulfill her duties. Perhaps the only incredibly outstanding feature on her, minus the shape of her body, is her eyes which are a deep crimson color. On her back, she has a large tattoo which is marred by a burn scar.

Aoi can be very affectionate and sweet at times, but usually is too focused on work to show such emotions. She is generally very agreeable, but is not a pushover at all. In fact, she can be quite stubborn if there is something she truly wants to attain. Despite being terrified of fire, she is very fond of Chikami Sarazawa, the Squad Four Captain, and takes pains to tolerate his zanpakuto. On the matters of the Captain, Aoi is incredibly protective of him, not just because he is her superior, but because she is in love with him, a fact that she has not shared with anyone. Time Frame? 120 years ago.
"D-Daddy? Do you want to play a game with me?"
Perhaps if I had tried harder. . Ah, I guess it really would be of no use anyway. . The past is in the past. Born to a fairly wealthy family, there was never a time in which I had to struggle. Both of my parents were from humble origins, and both had attained a secure status through hard work and determination. My mother charmed people with her music, and became well known through her artistic talents, often selling her original paintings to the highest bidder. My father was a well known scientist whose ideas and research had garnered him fame and fortune. But with such success, jealousy followed. People were constantly after my father's research so that they could profit from it, and knowing this, he grew paranoid. Even from my mother and I, he began to grow distant and overly cautious, rarely speaking to us and never discussing his work. The office I had once played in while he studied became closed off, locked, and guarded. Even at a young age I understood that this wasn't a normal occurrence, for the father who had once always spent all of his time with us now was a slave to his research.
Chapter Two The Madness; The Tattoo
Time Frame? 110 years ago.
"Please, stop this insanity!"
After the death of my mother, our family practically collapsed. With my father pent up in his room all day, I was generally left to my own devices. I tried my hardest to follow the same path my mother had, and take up music, but I just didn't have the affinity for it. Instead I filled my time with baking; bread, sweets, anything I could. Then I would go into town and give them to anyone who wanted or needed them. After all, what was the point in selling them? I already had enough money to live contently, and watching people eat what I made with a smile on their face brought me more joy than any type of currency could have. It was upon returning from one of my outings that my father approached me after what had seemed forever. He explained that he needed somewhere unexpected to hide a key aspect of his research, and that nobody would expect if he tattooed it on my body. I had no objections; he was my father and I would do anything for him. So I was soon the bearer of a large tattoo on my back, which my father cautioned me not to show to anybody. Even though I was careful not to expose the research to anyone, we were betrayed by one of the servants who worked for us. While my father was away, he broke into his office and gathered any and all of the information he could and sold the secrets to the public. My father lost it. For so many years he had tried desperately to keep his work from others. He had sacrificed sleep and time with his family to be able to accomplish such feats, and it was all for nothing. Madness overtaking him, he had only one idea in mind. "Burn it all." What was left of his studies was destroyed in flames, and I was no exception.
Chapter Two The Phoenix
Time Frame? 60 years ago - Present
"I fell in love with the Sun."
From the ashes I would rise into a new life. Once again I lived humbly, in a little village with a family who was kind enough to take me in. Eventually though, I realized that while the others around me did not grow hungry, I was famished. It was explained to me that this was a sign of great spiritual power, and suggested that I train to become a shinigami; those who fight for justice and balance. Agreeing, I joined the academy that trained such beings, and that is where I met perfection incarnate. Chikami Sarazawa, a man who carried the sun in his hands. Everything about him was warm, kind, and vibrant. No matter what, he could always cheer me up, and I became close with him the longer we spent time together. I followed in his footsteps and joined the same squad as he to ensure I could always be by his side. I proudly watched him climb through the ranks until he became my commander. Even if I was not strong enough to become his lieutenant, I would make sure to protect him. I made a vow to myself that I would never let anyone hurt the man who had become my sunshine.

Shikai Abilities
Kage Nui [ Shadow Sewing ]
A technique that uses materialized shadows to attack and bind the target. Aoi changes the shape of her shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, one of Aoi's teammates usually follows up with a finishing blow.
Tōketsu [ Freeze ]
A technique that is the exact opposite of her Captains, this power stems from Kegareta Tsuki's connection to lunar energy and the severe frigid temperatures of outer space. Slowly but surely, each crescent blade will increasingly begin to grow colder as time goes on. With each [post], the blades will lose heat and drop 50 degrees. So far, Aoi can only reach the temperature of - 200 degrees, but has been training to increase her limits. Because of the chill factor, it is incredibly difficult for water based attacks to reach her, for they will simply freeze. However, very powerful heat based techniques are able to permeate her defense. The air around Aoi [ 6 inches in diameter and increasing each post up to 2 feet] will also start to lower in temperature, exposing people to severe cold. Very prolonged exposure to this closeness [ 7 posts of being near Aoi] will start to freeze the skin and cause the beginning of frostbite. From her blades she is able to throw small condensed freezing waves, but they can go no further than [ 6 feet] from her.
Nemuri [ Slumber ]
A technique that can only work in Aoi touches her opponent on the forehead. [It takes three posts for Aoi to charge this technique up, and a successive 3 posts as a cool down. Note: She cannot charge the ability while simultaneously cooling it down.] This allows her to induce sleep in either herself or in others, and allows her to manipulate dreams, daydreams and nightmares. She can manipulate sleep patterns and induce instantaneous sleep or induce perpetual insomnia and make her victim dreadfully tired. Once a subject is asleep, Aoi must be touching them in order to manipulate their dreams or nightmares. If the connection between her and her victim is severed for more than [5 posts] then the victim can wake up.

Shinigami Abilities
Zanjutsu | Novice. Aoi moves in a very fluid, graceful way when using any type of blades. Her style is akin to dancing, and she's better at redirecting an opponent's attack and using their strength against them then actually attacking herself.
Hakuda | Novice. Again, her movements are much like her Zanjutsu style.
Hohō | Intermediate. Aoi is light on her feet and very quick, though of course slow in comparison to those of a higher rank.
Durability | Intermediate. Physically there is only so much she can handle, but her mental capacity to endure and fight on is incredible.
