 Mo strolled through the night air, occasionally glancing up to glimpse the moon through the trees. It was a relatively cool night with a wind that lifted his mane and tossed it around his eyes. He loved the rest of the group, but it was always nice to come out and get away from the chatter for awhile.
He could see bats flickering through the air up above and he smiled as he felt the stirrings of jealousy with his own lack of flight. It would be so wonderful to soar above the trees. To travel through the clouds and look down on the world from such a height. However, he was not one to dwell on feelings such as envy. He felt them, embraced them, examined them, and then moved on.
Closing his eyes, he allowed himself to be transported through his mind to gliding through the sky and the feelings this would evoke. If he couldn't physically perform the task, he could certainly mentally imagine it.

 The soft padding of clawed paws could be heard, if one was actually listening for it, a lion like tail slowly swishing up and down. She was a bit indistinctive through the shadows and darkness of that night, the only real marking on her was the moon like shape on her back that seemed to perfectly match a full moon when it was up in the sky.
Nocturne loved nights like these, it was quiet, peaceful and no one was about that would poke and prod at her for attention. She loved her extended family, but sometimes it was best to get some quiet time.
Stepping onto a stick, she didn't even pause when the snapping sound echoed through the quiet, the large female honestly thinking no one else could possibly be around.

Mo's ears twitched as a sharp crack echoed through the wind. He took a deep breath and allowed his imagination to come back to him as he pulled his mental self from the clouds.
Opening his eyes, Mo allowed them to adjust once more to the moonlight before glancing around. The night seemed as still as ever but he was positive the sound that had been heard was a stick snapped by an errant step.
He let his senses attune themselves to the forest and finally he heard a very soft rustling sound as if someone was walking steadily along the undergrowth. If he squinted, he could also make out a dark form, but with a spot of lightness where the moon reflected off of bright color. His green short tail swished in pleasure when he realized it was an unknown demon. Definitely not one of his own, and he or she seemed to enjoy the peace as much as himself if their purpose for being out at night alone was anything to go by.
"Good evening," he called out softly, hoping not to startle or intrude, but not wanting to just watch unseen from the shadows either.

Nocturne stopped her leisurely walk at the sound of an unfamilair voice and she turned her amber eyes toward the source. It was a bit difficult due to the others very dark coloring and the shadows of the forest, but she finally spotted the one who had called to her.
Another demon, as big as her, if not a bit bigger and it seemed he too was enjoying the peace and quiet of the night. Turning, she made her way over, her long tail swishing up and down in a lazy way.
"Good evening to you as well." she called back in a soft tone, "I didn't expect to find anyone else out tonight." she said as she finally got closer.

"Neither did I," he replied as the large female stepped closer. He looked her over as she came more into the moonlight, her bright eyes flashing. She was an elder to be sure; her size gave that away. Her body colors, like his own, blended perfectly with the night shadown, exempting one bright moon-like shape on her back.
He gave her a polite nod of his head and sat back on his haunches, turning his green eyes back to her own. "However, it is a very pleasant surprise to meet you out here. My name is Eccyhymosis, but since that's a bit of a mouthful, I usually go by Mo." He chuckled slightly and twitched a stray pink hair out of his eyes. "Do you go for moonlit walks often? I haven't run into you before and I'm out most nights."

She decided to lay down, crossing one front paw over the other as she curled her tail on the ground, deciding to get comfortable since she found company now. "Not as often as I like, usually when the moon is full and I can find the time to get away." she exclaimed, peering up at the moon that she could see through the branchs of the tree.
Looking back over at the male, she took in his appearance. Like her, he was a dark purplish color, except his hair seemed to be the opposite of hers, a brighter color instead of the black of her own. She seemed to smile faintly and nodded her head a bit, as if bowing it a little as she closed her eyes and opened them again when she lifted her head up.
"It is a pleasure to meet Eccyhmosis. My name is Nocturne. Those that are young sometimes call me Noc', but I prefer my full name." she said in introduction.

"That's a beautiful name." Mo lay down to match her pose, so that his paws and head pointed toward her own. "I too find it difficult to get away sometimes. It helps that most of my pack are either more daylight inclined, or prefer to keep to themselves."
He lifted his back end and stretched every muscle starting at the tips of his front paws and ending with a flick of his tail. With a satisfied sigh he settled back down on the soft earth, this time in more of a crouched position. "Do you find yourself often being more of a nocturnal creature in sync with your name?"

The black, furry tip of her tail patted the ground at odd intervals as she relaxed on the cool ground, "Well, yes and no. If the family needs something done during the day, I'll steel myself and stay up and sleep at night. But more often then not, I find myself wandering through the woods at night, except during the new moon."
She seemed to shiver a little as she looked off into the distance, "For some reason, I don't do very well when the moon is gone. Too dark I suppose, even with the stars and I prefer to see how the world looks when the moon is bright and full." she said, looking back over to Mo, very relaxed if she could admit that tidbit of information.

Mo nodded his head in agreement. "I love the moonlight as well. It gives this almost surreal gleam to the earth that I find incredibly peaceful. It creates a great environment to think as well. I find it so hard to think when surrounded by my rather chatty pack members."
He noticed the slight shiver to her skin and had a strange urge to move closer, which, though he did not act on, his body and his brain were slightly at odds with the decision so it caused him to perform a weird little twitch of his legs. He mentally scolded himself for looking like an idiot and attempted to cover the twitch as beginning to play with the dirt beneath his claws by drawing random little designs in the earth. "Besides, there are a few of my family members who prefer the pitch black nights and like to go out into the darkness and do some rather unseemly things I would rather avoid encountering."

She noted his fidgety movement, but figured he was just keeping his muscles moving and doodling on the ground was to keep himself from being bored. When he mentioned a few of his own family that did things in the night he would rather not get into, she had to stop herself from chuckling, though she did bring a paw up to rub at her chin a bit, "Well, there is another in my family who seems to prefer the night like I do. She is an elder, like me, but we normally don't journey together."
"She has wings, such great, big beautiful wings, so where she goes, I do not know. But the possiblity, to find a different place thanks to wings, especially in the moonlight..." she rolled to her side and gazed up at the sky, as if trying to imagine those possible places.
