So Chris told me how to do it, and now I'm ready to make sure I got it before going out and making a fool of myself in front of everyone. So I'm challenging anyone here who wants to go at it with me.

["There… Earth. I wish you could see it like I do."]  "You want to learn how to fight in the battledome? So be it." I sat in my chair and watched as Ryou Domivae entered the Battledome. He eventually saw me from across the arena, prompting me to stand up and raise my glass to him. "I knew you'd make it here eventually," I said. "I saw you around and figured it would only be a matter of time." My monologue caught him off-guard, as he was still not sure how he was supposed to carry himself in this type of event. "Well... are we going to fight now, or what?" He asked. "That's what we're here for," I said, finishing my glass and setting it down by the chair. I stood up straight and waited for him to make a move. Feeling more sure of himself now, Ryou Domivae conjured a fireball into his hand and threw it at me. I moved deftly to one side and used the passing fire to light my cigar. He rushed forward to attack me with his katana, but I had already read about his abilities and was able to analyze him with my eyes and predict his attack. As he drew his sword, I moved to one side again, dodging the attack. I replied by jamming my lit cigar in his face, which caused him to crumple to the ground, holding his face in his hands. Having made my point, I turned around and returned to my chair. "You're probably a better fighter," I said, kicking up my chair. "But sometimes these things come down to luck, and this time the dice were on my side." [Some people find it helpful to describe your techniques for the next poster so they can get a better idea of how you fight, though it is not necessary. In my case, I currently fight using trickery, deception, and intellect. The eyes analyze an opponent's weakness and I can summon holograms to confuse an opponent. Aside from that, I can use a handgun.]  ["It's so… perfect."]

On the ground, one hand over his face, his other hand shot down and grabbed sand, which he threw at Chris's face. "I hate cocky bastards!" But Chris had the reflexes of a cat, apparently, and had moved. Or maybe he figured Ryou might play dirty. Either way, he was now behind Ryou. "bwoshit" Ryou fell forward, Chris having kicked him in the back of the head. Hard. Then he returned to his chair, swept it clean with his hand, and propped his feet up again. "Got it memorized?"

["There… Earth. I wish you could see it like I do."] I took out another cigar and lit it. "Going to go another round?" I said, seeing Ryou gearing up for another fight. "Well, you don't quit - I can respect that." I was about to get out of my chair when I saw a fireball flying towards me. I sat back down and saw a fireball pass through where my head nearly had been. "You're an opportunist as well... I can respect that, too," I said. He rushed towards me and was about to impale me with his katana when I rolled out of my chair. The sword buried itself into the chair's back, momentarily keeping him locked in place. I got up and hit his sword arm, causing him to let go of his blade. I was pleased that I had temporarily disarmed him, but I let my guard down and he delivered a punch to my stomach. I reeled back, and he could have had me then if he followed up with more physical attacks. However, he returned to try and pick up his blade, and his turning around gave me enough time to recover. Before he could pry his blade free, I hit him in the back of the head and sent him falling face-first into the ground. "Either you're getting better at this or I'm getting worse..." ["It's so… perfect."]

Ryou shot up and whipped around, his arm out in an attempt to backfist Chris. "That's two I've hit the ground, dammit!" But Chris simply stepped back and laughed. "Three! But who's counting?" That did it. Ryou only saw red now. He ran at Chris and bent low, going for a pro-tackle. Chris simply stepped aside again before sticking his foot out and tripping Ryou, putting him on the ground yet again.

"Alright, kid," Eunica said,twirling one of her guns around her fingers. "I just gotta wonder why you're fighting barefoot, but that's not really why I'm here."
Ryou gripped the handle of his sword with both hands, holding it out in front of him and then bringing it to his side. Eunica took note of this telegraphing of his attack and moved herself accordingly. When Ryou took his swing, she dipped underneath the blade, letting it cut over the air inches over her head. She squatted with her legs spread some and a hand on the ground for balance as she extended her other arm with her revolved pointed right at Ryou's chest.
"Bang," she said. "We're just practicing here, so I won't actually shoot you with live ammo." She was not going to use her disruption ammo just yet, because she was also interested in seeing his other tricks first. He had to have some form of supernatural ability. Everyone in the Battledome had some special skill. Whether it be magic or just incredible prowess with weaponry, the fighters were not your average joe.
She got back up and dusted herself off and walking back a few feet. "Try to not get so frustrated," she said. "You can use magic, right? Let's see what you got."
Ryou took a hand from his katana and reached under his coat and procured a simple lighter. Eunica raised an eyebrow and let him have the first move. With a flick of his thumb, there was a spark from the lighter.
No flui-- Eunica gasped as flames erupted suddenly from the sparks, dancing towards her. She did not know whether or not this was magical or not, but she already was developing countermeasures to the man. Another flick of the lighter and there were more flames. Eunica rolled to the side to dodge the first and then went prone as the second whizzed over her, singing her some.
Ba-choom! Her revolver shot out a bright bullet that went right through Ryou's leg. There was no blood drawn, but an excruciating amount of pain, as if he had been shot by a real bullet. His knee buckled and he fell on it. Looking over to her again, he gritted his teeth, trying to stand up.
"I thought you said you weren't going to shoot," Ryou groaned.
"I said I was not going to shoot with live ammo," Eunica corrected.
"You call that not live? That ******** hu--"
Ba-choom! This time, another disruption bullet went through his left shoulder. Ryou dropped his sword, clutching his shoulder as his hand tightened around the lighter.
"You let yourself get too distracted," she explained. "I'd say to come at me with your sword and any other abilities you have, but that shot to it is going to make it sting for awhile." She watched him try to manipulate the sparks from his lighter once more. "You won't be able to do that for a bit--at least with that arm. I cut off your mana, ki, or whatever you channel's flow to your arm at the shoulder." She held a hand up to him. "Let's try again later."
((I tried using what you had in your profile as a basis, but I don't know much else about your character.))

[I shouldn't have made fun of Lady Luck the other day..]
Ryou slammed his right hand down on the ground and kicked off in a circle, extending his one good leg and sending a low, horizontal wall of flame gliding over the ground at the woman. "That hurts!" Sh was only taken aback for a second, and simply jumped over it. Ryou wasn't in any position to dodge as she shot another disruption bullet at his right arm. t hit, he buckled.
He rolled over so his face wasn't in the dirt. "I'm done."
