There are some hallowed places where the very fabric of reality seems thin, the world seems to waver slightly in and out of focus. The gap between the human world and the land of Demons seems so thin, one could almost reach out and touch it. As if there was a loss so great its scarred both sides and nearly clawed its way clean through.
The Barrows... A place shrouded in lingering mists, hesitant silence, and seemingly eternal dusk. Still meadows among looming ancient trees twisted by the ravages of weather and time. Not a bird sings, not a man made sound breaks the peace and isolation. Heavy clouds on the verge of rain darken the skies, cool winds rattle the leaves, and everything smells of damp and moss and age. Various cairns and mounds mark the gentle slopes or lean against bases of gnarled stumps. Small effigies, amulet-like entwined branches, and carvings adorn low branches. An occasional wooded cross or scratched stone indicate this is a place of somber remembrance for those lost or missing from both Earthside and the Inbetween.
This is a place of remembrance and mourning, loss and survival, hope and betrayal. Those who are gone are not forgotten.
The path to the future is paved by the stories, hopes and dreams of the present; and the many sacrifices of our dark and glorious past...

Private RP, Solo RP, Open Plot advancement, and stories are all welcome here.
A Demon pet is considered "Missing" or "Dead" if they are still on the OLD Winiko shop certificate ( the super pale blue ones with RED winiko logo).
Feel free to post about winiko that have not been resurrected, do not RP those pets though unless you own them,but you can include them in your stories and plots.
Some winiko ( and humans? others) can communicate with the dead, feel free to RP your dead Winiko here as much as you like as a spirit or ghost or really pissed off poltergeist.
Winiko dont have a religion or cultural belief system, though it is widely accepted that they are soul-less demons that do not pass on to either a "heaven" or "hell". Many believe they are actually already in the next life, assuming they are the spirit that does not pass to either a heaven or hell as some cultures see it, and possibly exist in a purgatory like state. Some jokingly call the Inbetween the "Everafter" as a sarcastic poke at this life being their so called Happily Ever After.
