Yama was born in Skypea to a middle class family, being born of the Birkan tribe Yama finds himself in many fights when he was younger and would usually find inself in troble with his parents. when Yama was old enough to leave home, he choose to leave Skypea and travel the sea of water he hearf about to see the land below him. upon his travel yama had stop be multiple dojos and learn martials art in four different styles. he would soon learn of how the world of the ground would work due to his lack of knowledge as he as leaved his Skypea for most of his life. upon traveling again Yama this time found himself fighting again against bandits and theifs who have tried toseal what his valible treasure to him and nearly killed a human being, this almost traimatise Yama as he has nevered killed anyone before. he would soon arive at a town where he went to a local pub to drink off the experience he had gone through. he would encounter a pirate who had gotten into a bar fight over a dispute on the world government. as Yama tried to calm this pirate down he soon found himself in the fight against him in which he lost due to how unorthadox this pirate style was. he learned of the Pirate name being Zenjuro Shimazu and was told his ideal of how corrupted the world government was and soon learned of his back story being a fellow Birkan tribe Skypeaian who was born and raised in Fisman Island. this was the first that he has heard of city that was under the sea and tried to explain to his fellow tribesmen of the city in the sky, Skypea. Yama soon made the decision that he wanted to help Zenjuro achive his goal and soon joined his crew where he now travels with.
Personality: Kind hearted and is always willing to serve the captain he serves under. Yama lives by the Shaolin code of being a Pacifist but will fight if he has no other choice
