All alone beside a bed thorny roses, sat Ace Cooper, a frequent "customer" of the abandoned Cafe` Bartholomew which resided in what was now an overgrown ghost town tucked away from the modern world. He sipped his tea, which was raspberry flavored with a splash of milk and two lumps of sugar, no more, no less, and flipped through an oddly patterned book. His expression was collected and pleasant, the sort you would see upon a relaxed individual.
It was close to evening in the gardens, and the sunlight dwindled through the spaces in the leaves above his head, but there was just enough light to continue his reading. A small stream lay bubbling not to far away, a perfect backdrop for the evening, so it seemed. It was truly and lovely scene.

It was the same old routine. Erissa would wander aimlessly, set a few noodles free of their earthly bonds, and wander more. It was getting rather dull.
However, the moment her eyes fell on the devil-tailed male, she felt a renewed spark. She would have him as her own. Those dark locks and exotically bright eyes called to her in a way no other had. She thought herself incapable of finding interest in another other than for her own amusement. but this one... he rivaled her reflection in the mirror each morning. Didn't quite win over her own appearance, but close. Very close.
Adjusting the fur around her neck, she boldly stepped in his direction, confidence in her stride as she approached him. The bloody paw prints she left with each step would be a warning to him, should he dare attempt to even form the word 'No' upon his lips. No one would ever tell her what she didn't want to hear.

Ace's eyes scanned over the pages of his book gracefully, until upon a reddened page, they froze, a soft smile appearing on his features. No doubt some sort of symbolism was at work within this area of overgrowth and mystery. He turned to finish his cup of tea before gently closing the book and facing Erissa rather slowly.
"Darling, you're late." He stated, smiling genuinely towards her. "I've been waiting for you for quite some time and quite frankly, I'm ashamed of just how acquainted with tardiness you have become."
He padded towards her, observing the bloody paw prints that followed close behind her, and sighed. "Goodness, was that really required, love?" He shook his head. "Making a show will do you far less good than you think. Now...Who's blood has tarnished your feet? That will be a devil to cleanse."

She huffed softly, "You know me enough to know that if I were to arrive on time, you wouldn't be here." She followed his gaze to her paws, lifting one to inspect it with a slight wrinkle of her nose. "Someone tried to scream at me when their fate was already of my design. It would've been much cleaner if they hadn't started it to begin with." Little did he know that by 'starting it', the other noodle had crossed her path and brushed her shoulder when she was busy watching the local fauna. There was a very noticeable wrinkle in her sleeve that shouldn't be there, and to iron it was time not spent doing more productive things. The noodle had to learn. "Lover, if you're so worried of a stain, you can be the one to scrub them for me." As she spoke she held out her paws, the sparkle in her eyes that of her inner demon. His compliance or lack thereof would warrant punishment or reward in due time.

Ace shook his head and made a soft "tsk tsk" sound. Oh, how foolish his lover was being. Her clothes would be ruined doing such horrid things! She would have to leave the murdering to him from now on if she wanted to keep her finery in it's proper state. But, for now, it seemed he would be the one to maintain the damage already done. Ah, a demon husband's chore is never done, or so they say.
"I do believe there is a quaint stream to our side, dearest." He said, motioning to a flower bed to his side. "You may wash there, if you so choose. Or, if you prefer not, we can enjoy a cup of raspberry tea before heading home together. Once I have properly settled in, I will hire the finest servants for your needs." He nuzzled her chin. "While I may adore you, dearest, I am not to be trusted with your finery. That is the job of a proper slave, and I, my dear, intend to serve you in far better ways than just tending to your clothing."

She managed a soft blush. Yes, even the devil woman could muster up as much at his boasting of caring for her. An eye roll later and she was washing her paws in the water, watching with a smug satisfaction as the droplets carried away had tinged the water slightly pink. "A cup of tea sounds soothing, though I won't taint it with my soiled hands. Even I know better than to tamper with that which you take delight in." Though she did desire to see the noodle who would mess with Ace, and watch with pride as the creature was properly massacred. She promptly placed a chaste kiss on his cheek, unsure if the blood had somehow made it to her face and not wanting to dirty the other party. If he wanted to be dirty, that could easily come later, as he has so adoringly implied.
