Zanatos Mathers The fun never ends... It appears as though the assault form the purists had not ended yet, much to the dismay of Zanatos and the other defenders. It was also convenient that he decided to stay back after the first wave. Alright, let's mop up this second wave and be home for dinner. Despite his confidence, Zanatos only had two rockets left, just enough to put a small dent into the sheer numbers of the purist fighters. So he shot forward with his unit to take out as many as they could, shooting both of his scattershot rockets, taking out a couple dozen ships. Ok, lets just keep up the pressure and then... At that moment his ship was hit by a rocket and flew in a crash coarse towards the Ark.

Valkia Steelstone I'd tell you to say that to my face but you'd need a ladder... ===============================================
"Oh no you don't!" Valkia states, almost casually catching Zanatos' ship as it hurled towards the side of the Ark. Tucking the damaged ship under her arm, Valkia batted an asteroid into an approaching squadron of ships with her great axe.
Well she could keep this up all day, she had to assume the pilot under her arm couldn't. Leaping from asteroid to asteroid, Valkia retreated to the nearest airlock despite the protest of the children in her womb. "Easy there little ones, we'll make warriors of you yet."
Once free of the vacuum of space, Valkia set down her burden and popped open the cockpit of the ship. Fishing out what she hoped to be an unconscious pilot and not a dead one Valkia ducked through to bay doors and headed towards the nearest med bay.

When the purists had assaulted the Ark, Kimi had retrieved something from the armory. She had had to change into a spacesuit and followed the captain who how she could survive the vacuum but she could not. Kimi raised a barrer around her to protect herself while she armed the weapon she carried. the BCPL-9000™ (Big Colourful Paint Laser) was armed and Kimiko took aim. With a click of her trigger it fired a bolt of rainbow hued energy at one of the fighrers grazing its engine.

[Thought so.]
It wasn't long as the defenders started returning to their shuttle bays that there was another attack. A completely refreshed battalion were playing the ol' retreat and wait till they get comfortable' tactic.
My hands immediately shot to the controls as I slammed them forward, shooting into a twisting barrel dive out of the way of several shots sent my way.
It wasn't long before the battle was full on again. I continued to weave and dive through the combat, seeing the ships once against shoot out of the Arc to defend their home.
I had to wonder... just how messed up were these Fang cultists? These people were just... living on this space station, weren't they? And from the way these other fighters fought, this seemed to be a regular occurrence. They were used to fighting them. That was... messed up.
It wasn't long before I got a hailed. A small holographic screen popped up infront of me as I dodged out of the way of a missile and shot the idiot fang ship to bits. The person on the other side chattered happily upon seeing that I was Psineko.
I unfortunately could not understand an ounce of what was being said. Language barriers. Oy.
They seemed to fiddle until a translator popped up and it translated what they were saying for me. After talking a little bit I found myself leading a V shaped wing of fighters, all following after me like ribbons flowing in the wind. It wasn't long before we were slowly starting to take out or scare away this fresh surge of enemies...

The attackers were quickly subdued, especially with the formation led by the newcomer, Rae. This time, some of them didn't retreat, however, even when they were being destroyed. Several did peel off and fly away, heading back down towards the blue and green planet. But others seemed to have some sort of strange death wish. It was like they were on a pointless suicide mission. They threw themselves into the battle relentlessly, keeping the Arc's best personnel distracted.
Engineers on the ground were desperately trying to move the ship that was lodged on its side so that the portal could be sealed again but the progress was hindered by enemy fire and the doors automatically trying to close, which only clamped the ship more tightly. A medic team did manage to remove the injured fighters from the cockpit, taking them straight to the med bay for treatment. One of them was in bad condition, their body mangled and scarred from the crash, the other seemed like they were just unconscious.
It was just as the inured fighters were taken from the ship when one young engineer happened to notice something attached to the ship's outside. Her face paled as she pointed at it with her wrench. "Um, excuse me, but I think we have a problem here" It was one of those sticky-bombs the purists liked to use.
"Everyone, get everybody out! Clear the area!'
Orders were shouted and the docking bay was cleared just in time.
A giant mech appeared just beyond the opened portal, sailing up out of the carnage around it like a hulking spectre of death. It could not get past the defenders that guarded the opening but it didn't appear to be trying to.
Its pilot had the loudspeaker system activated. Deep, maniacal laughter boomed from the unit as it held up a mechanical hand. The armoured parts that formed its mechabot face seemed to be grinning. "Die, alien scum! Humans are the only ones made to inherit the Earth. You've served your purpose and if you won't go back to where you came from, you should all just fade away! Bahahahaha!"
It pushed a button built into one of its fingers and there was a moment of stillness before the jammed ship blasted into a million pieces, sending shockwaves through a large radius of the Arc and area around it and permanently damaging the docking bay's portal so it was stuck open.
The mech flew back in the blast, shielding itself with an arm. Yes, yessss! This was working. Months of careful planning. It was actually working. And they were saying that their great leader couldn't do it. Ha, let the Arc creatures attack all they wanted to, the sacrifice these few men were making today would go down in history as the opening up of a pure new era for the One Chosen Race. An era untainted by these unnatural beings, these demons. The Earth would never be theirs! *** Kaia This is bad! This is bad! Someone, make it stop! Kaia burst into the head maid's quarters, shaking and sweating, her hair and clothing dishevelled as she bent over, gasping for breath. "Head Maid!" Kaia gasped, blinking hard to clear her vision of the panicked tears that were streaming down her face. "Head Maid, head maid! Where are you?" Her eyes spotted the older model of Psioneko, standing in her office with a polite, schooled expression, as always.
Kaia stumbled towards her, one hand still firmly wrapped around her belly, breathing a shaky sigh of relief. "Oh, thank goodness! Head maid, it's awful, we are under another attack. I spotted some intruders on board, Ma'am. They're in the corridors! They were doing something to Patricia. I don't know if they captured her"
Kaia blinked and stopped talking abruptly as a gentle hand was placed upon her shoulder. "Kaia, it is all right. You came here to receive your orders from me, didn't you? Do not worry about Patricia. She is following my orders. I will give you your orders, but you need to calm down in order to listen to me" The head maid smiled serenely, a comforting smile to reassure her, but the young woman couldn't see it. Her vision was blurred from tears and she was busy wiping them on a handkerchief. "Yes, yes, I'm sorry. Head Maid, I am ready" she sniffled, sounding back to her usual calm, collected self. "I have been through many such attacks before. I apologise for having overreacted. Please, I await to receive your orders and do what I can to support the Arc in this time"
The head maid didn't answer straight away and Kaia wondered why she wasn't speaking. Her brows furrowed in confusion and Kaia frowned, the hand around her belly clutching it tightly as she felt painful kicks and flurries of agitated movement from within. Poor Croix, he was getting an overload of adrenaline, fear and anxiety.
"Head Maid?" Kaia looked at the hand on her shoulder and let out a soft whimper as she felt the pressure tighten. "Pardon me, but I think you are applying a little too much pressure to my - " suddenly having a bad feeling, Kaia gasped as the head maid gave a vicious squeeze, causing her to cry out in pain. "Arghhh! Nnn!" While trying to claw the woman's hand off her shoulder, she looked up at her superior, confusion and hurt mixing with the shock she was feeling. She caught sight of the other woman's face and her eyes widened in horror. The head maid's eyes were odd and dazed looking. They were glowing, a red light that was faint at first, but shone brighter when she spoke, still while wearing that delighted, sweet smile.
"Kaia, these are your orders. Do not worry, this is a really easy one. I want you..." She raised a hand slowly and Kaia saw the tip of her index finger beginning to glow as it was aimed between Kaia's eyes. "...to die"
"Head maid?" Kaia gaped, too stunned to move. The head maid was acting so out of character. N-no way! She's going to use her laser on me? What's wrong with her?!

Rae Sterling
[Okay. Now you bastards are going too far.]
Something on the side of the Arc caught my attention as something seemed to have finally go through the seemingly impenetrable sides. A mech was holding the doors open!
No... I came to this place for sanctuary... why don't they respect the value of a sanctuary!!?!
I quickly started to shout commands at the other ships as I broke off from the group. They followed the orders, holding off the stubborn kamikaze ships and fighting with such protective fury, it was admirable.
As I headed straight for the mech, I shouted to my computer.
Computer! Start up the experimental mental amplification systems!
B-But you haven't tested it yet! What if it hurts you?? Stammered the AI.
JUST DO IT! I roared. I did NOT come all this way, to have Sanctuary so close, only to have it ripped from my grasp!
I watched the explosion, and I veered slightly to the side before barreling straight into the exposed bay. I pulled back hard and my ship came to an abrupt halt right in the center of the bay; before spinning quickly in place to look at the maniacal mech. I stared out at it defiantly as my ship started to hum around me; my nerve clips shining like tiny stars. Everything connected to it started to vibrate. I closed my eyes... then opened them.
My eyes were glowing with white hot fire. My hair in their pigtailes was whipping about.
Forming over the gap in the bay was a wall of flame. At first it looked like regular fire... before it started turning gold... then blue... then white! It was a Psykinetic shield, coated in my Pyrokinesis, glowing so hot that it could melt and crack any metal ship and substance that got too close. I stared at the wall of flame defiantly, shaking like a leaf as I gripped the controls of my ship harder. In the bay the sip was ringing like a bell, vibrating a bright white as it hovered there in the center of the bay...
But I was not only doing that. There was plenty of metal that the explosion had jammed around the opening. The fire was melting it, making it softer and more pliable. Gripping the handles harder I started moving that metal with my mind, shifting it to form a thick metal barrier... in the inside shape of my shield.... I was doing this I knew I couldn't keep the shield up forever. already I could feel blood trickling from my nose and a blinding pain start to form in my head.
Boost the amplification! I said to the computer.
B-But!
I MUST REPAIR THIS WALL!
Yes Rae! Shutting down Phaseers, Amplifcation at 75% Shutting down life-support to all but the cockpit... Amplification at 100%... Shutting down engines... Amplification at 125%...
I started to shake as the metal started to flow faster. Now the shield covered hole was the size of a truck. The ship was glowing intensely now, getting to the range of 'hard to look at.' The pain was getting even more intense now, and an ear splitting scream ripped from my throat... but I did not stop.
Shutting down thrusters... Amplification at 150%!
the ship slowly settled to land in a clear space in the bay, and now it was shining blindingly bright, like a small star had decided to take a nap in the docking bay. I watched as the hole got smaller and smaller and smaller, until the whole wall glowed red hot, and had sealed itself over; it was now as thick as the red of the hull. I watched it, slowly letting up the shield drop and slowly cooling it down until it could safely handle the sheer cold of space without cracking or warping.
I blinked wearily.
Deactivate Amplifier...... was all I could get out before my forehead hit the dash. I was covered in blood, unconscious, and out like a light.
~~~
Outside, the wing of fighters who had followed Rae's orders had decimated all of the enemy ships. They then pounced on the enemy mech who had caused the explosion, who had threatened their home and their safety, and fired all they had with the intent to obliterate.
~~~
In the hanger, the ship stopped glowing. The light faded to reveal a ship similar in design to that of the Fang purists, but painted drastically differently-- it was a deep blood red with a design of a Fire Cat upon the tail. The ship's AI spoke over loudspeakers to anyone who could possibly be nearby.
Help! HELP! My pilot... HELP!

Outside, one last explosion blossomed as the mech was destroyed by the Ark's team of defenders. Its booming laughter had not ceased, up until the moment it departed the world in a blazing burst.
Things then became quiet. The everlasting silence of space resumed. It seemed today, the defenders had won. The peace was restored to the Ark... until the next time any Purists decided to pay a visit.
***
The first priority once the Ark had been sealed from the threat outside was to see to those affected by the battle - living and mechanical. Though living were obviously the main one.
Onlookers to the eye-searing brightness of the ship and the fiery shield were pleasantly amazed to see that the gaping entrance to the hangar bay had been sealed, once things had dimmed down enough for them to actually see, that was. Some people were frightened or shellshocked still, but the gratitude and relied of being able to prevent more enemies from entering far outweighed their suspicions for the time being.
For a while, no one approached the red craft until the automated voice began shouting about its pilot. Then, a team of medics, most of them already in the hangar to assist anyone who was injured, rushed to intervene. Unfortunately, it was hard for anyone to get near with the risk of being scorched or burnt to a crisp. They had a fair idea that the levels of brightness and the heat they'd witnessed earlier.
A selection of the Ark's best Saurixes were sent forth, their heat resistance and preference for high tempertatures, as well as their transformation ability, allowing them to tear a way into the ship through the locked hatch that led into the cockpit. Every effort was made to minimise damage to the ship but their main goal was getting to the pilot.
After several tense minutes, a large male Saurix emerged from the cockpit, carrying the unconscious form of a young feline woman, a Psioneko no doubt, in his bronze and brown scaled arms. "She's still alive! Let's get her straight to med bay. Bring that hover-stretch over! I want brain scans and full system scans immediately" They had cleaned as much blood from her as they could, but they wasted no time in getting her on one of the hovering guneys and directly to the med bay for medical scans and checkups. Telekinetic powers had clearly been used.
Mechanics and engineers were instructed to see to the strange red vessel as soon as it was safe to do so and the rest of the Ark's inhabitants were either helping clear the destruction or see to the fighters. Kaia No choice, I have to do this Kaia ducked to the side. A cherry red laser had just missed her by inches. She could hear the whining buzz of it streak past her ear and several strands of her hair singed and fell. Acting on the only thing that came to mind, the cyber human chose to try and connect 'wirelessly' to her instructor. Despite knowing that the head maid would surely have strong security preventing just anyone from accessing her mind, she knew she wasn't strong enough to stop her on her own. She was reacting rather than thinking, mostly due to her state of shock, grasping at straws.
Kill, destroy, eliminate the Ark's residents. Eliminate alien life form
When she felt a sudden rush of information and emotion, Kaia was surprised. How did she get in so easily?! Something else wasn't right - that would have to mean the head maid's defenses had been compromised. Not to mention, the head maid's emotions were so...robotic. She was a cold, heartless killer bent on performing a mission to wipe out anything identified as 'alien'. With their minds connected, the young Cyber focused, trying to access the head maid's memories.
'Alien life form detected. Destroy'
She forced a second laser attack to misfire, watching the head maid's arm jerk suddenly and fire three lasers, destroying various objects and parts of the room. And then Kaia began to feel strange...

((Well, it looks like Kurai either cannot or will not return to continue this, and a lot of the players have ditched, so I am sorry to say that I'm dropping out of it. I don't have the health and energy to run a RP for someone who's not here, no matter how great an idea it was. Thank you everyone for doing your best. I think I need to look at enforcing some new rules in this guild...))
