"Hrrm." Ferris replied, not really sure what to make of the Inquisitor.
"Well, just watch your step, brother." he added.
"Yeah." Chunks added. "Cultists might be stalking the alleys looking for an easy murder."
The human sighed. "Don't pay them any mind. They sometimes like to scare the common folk."

Alex exited his the dome after his most recent bout where he sent a thief on a long distance trip. To where? He wasn't telling. As it was he was lacking his flight pack as he entered the market for the first time. He glanced at some of the more advanced alien tech that was being sold but none of it really piqued his interest. Most of it wasn't even on par with what Alex could produce.
So, he ignored the merchants for the time being as he headed towards the band of mercenaries. Perhaps he might be able to open up a weapon's contract with them. As he headed towards them his wing pack returned from its trip sans passenger and reattached itself to the technopath's back without ever causing him to break stride.
When he was close enough to the small group of Logan's Chargers he greeted them, "Hello. Would any of you perhaps be in the mood to upgrade your arsenal?"

"Maybe we would..." Chunks replied, always acting like the tough guy. The dirdelk strode up to the counter to talk to Alex.
"So what the ******** are you selling, then? C'mon man, show us the goods!"
"Chunks, remember that we're here to get money, not blow it all." Horndog cautioned. "While we don't have the most advanced arsenal, there's a reason we're using more primitive case ammunition and weapons. They're reliable, and get the job done just as easily. While I understand the appeal for plasma and beam weapons, our carbines don't require a degree in nuclear physics to fire."
"Geez, Horndog. At least hear the man out. ********. So what are you selling us, eh? Let's see your s**t." Chunks said, nodding his head.

"Oh reliability issues? You must not have the best providers for the better stuff. One moment please."
Alex closed his eyes for a couple of seconds as he sent a mental communique to his yet to be opened lab which happened to be nearby. It was set up for more personalized weapons instead of mass production but it had a decent stock. Several crates were teleported in about one minute after Alex spoke.
He popped open one of the crates revealing an assortment of electrolaser weaponry. "When you absolutely have to hurl lightning at something. With lethal or non-lethal settings. Well, non-lethal for humans and near humans. Also, overload settings if the normal mode isn't putting the target down. Line of sight only. Also, doesn't work with out an atmosphere so not useful for boarding actions. And for obviously reasons not a good idea to use it underwater but it'll take a fair bit of punishment. And the only actual moving part is the trigger and setting selectors so it won't jam up or anything."
Alex moved over to the next crate as well revealing an assortment of railguns. "Now when you need to hit something with a hunk of metal going mach 5 or higher, these are for you. Railguns. Gotta love em. I got em in various flavors. From your personal sidearms to your vehicle mounted cannons of destruction. Extremely good for punching holes through just about anything. And these will function just about anywhere. Well, except underwater. The liquid creates too much drag and the flooding of the barrel disrupts the current flow needed to launch the projectiles. On the upside if you ever run out of slugs you can always jam some ferrous materials down the barrel in a pinch. Won't be good for the gun in the long run but better then nothing."
Alex popped open the last crate he ported in revealing one of his armored spacesuits fully decked out. "Now this here is an expensive piece of tech. Well, it can be bought for far cheaper if you don't want the in built FTL device because miniaturizing that stuff is expensive as hell. Perfect for any space based battles and pretty damn useful in ground base fighting. Even capable of underwater but the in-built plasma cannon doesn't like water all that much. It becomes less of a plasma cannon, and more of a boiling water launcher. Though of course that can be subbed out for sonic weaponry if you ever want to do underwater duty. That and explosives."
Alex paused for a bit before speaking again, "I got some more stuff but none of that is readily available to display. This entire sale's pitch was kinda impromptu. My nearest depot is set up more for personalized weaponry instead of mass produced stuff."

Chunk's eyes lit up at the sight of Alex's customized armor suit.
"A built in FTL device?! That's just ballsy! Travelling a clunky ship is one thing, but a ********' suit? Haha, that'd be crazy!"

"Then call me crazy. Cause I've done that. Several times. Kicked some Dragonheart a** in the process too."
Leon barred his teeth in grin as he remembered those battles.
((Did those events get archived or anything? Cause I kinda want to reread them now.))

It had been a few days since he had last performed penance for his acts in the Battledome. He would say that the guilt was weighing heavily on his mind, but that was so often the case that it didn't mean much anymore. He had set up his tent and stall a bit further from the center of the markets this time; a guard had very nearly become aware that he hadn't gotten his permit for "faith-based, healing magic services (penitence)" through the proper channels.
He didn't get many takers in his spot, but it was all the better that he didn't attract too much attention. He didn't have the money to pay the fine and he didn't want to have to start charging folks in order to pay for his right to heal them.
He did have a bit of an ulterior motive, however; he was hoping to run into Ferris and the dirdelks from the other day again. It had been a long time since he had made a friend - or been friendly with another person, as it were - and it was a shame that he had had to move to such a remote location.
