What was she? Well, aside from the obvious, which would state she was a candidate and former drudge. But that didn't answer her question. Deep inside, down where people couldn't see, what was she? What was her place in the weyr? What was her talent, if anything? Despite having attempted a form a knack for something Calitra had never proven herself to be very skilled at anything. Because of this she had failed to enter a craft, instead ending up one of the unfortunate people left to clean up the various messes the weyr managed to make. Recently, but not too recently, she had managed to become a candidate, although that ended in disappointment. Left standing at the first clutch she ever stood for. Sure there was another hatching coming up but there was certainly no guarantee that she would impress at this one either.
Needless to say Calitra was in a glum mood as she entered the dining hall around breakfast time. Despite not really being angry it was a scowl that crossed her face. A scowl was comfortable, it kept people away from her. And if there was one thing she didn't want to have to put up with at the moment it was inquisitive weyrfolk. As she approached the table she didn't pay much attention to her surroundings, although it wouldn't be something around her that made it happen. In fact she had no one else to blame for it but her and her own clumsyness.
Tripped over her own two feet, that was what they called it. One minute she was walking and the next she was falling, one foot having been caught against the other. A startled yelp left her as she rapidly approached the ground. Although she had okay reflexes they were not good enough this time. As a result she completely failed to catch herself, her forehead banging against the table that had been only a few feet away from her before she landed on the ground. A small groan left her as she rolled to a sitting position, tenderly rubbing the already swelling spot on her forehead. Okay, now she was angry.

[Diedre]
They were both early risers, so Shenja and Diedre had gone in early and were nearly done with their meal. Shenja had gotten up to go get them both some more klah to finish it off with- it wasn't like they were in a rush to finish. Diedre wasn't quite fully awake, though she was getting there. What needed to be done today? ... Nothing. Well, a few chores, maybe, but not much besides. She stared at her neatly cleared plate and her nearly empty cup. She would have to find things to do, otherwise she knew Shenja would get himself in trouble. It wasn't even speculation... it was a given. But not before her Klah. Hopefully Shen would be back with it soon so she could start nagging him.
[Shenja]
Shenja, however, was awake, and had been awake since he had woken up. He was lucky that way. He was also a pain in the mornings because of it. Heck, he was half-skipping and whistling as he went to get refills of Klah.
A bang and a groan a little ways away caught his interest and he stopped in his cheerful walk. Someone- a woman- had fallen down. He moved over to her. "Hey." he said, looking down at her curiously. "You alright?" She seemed all right, other than a nasty bump on the head, but the boy offered her a hand anyway.

The one thing, well more than one thing really, taht he missed about home was the communial meals. Breakfast and Dinner meals his family would gather in the great hall with others and sit at their table with one other family and they were relax and talkabout their day, whether what happened or what they expected to happen, depending on which meal.
So here at the Weyr, he was quite lonely. He sat where he was told to but it seemed not enough people sat together at the sme time so he found himself alone.
Just like he was that particular morning. He had just finished his drink, getting ready to get up. He saw a young woman trip and he wasn't able to get out of his seat fast enough to catch her, though he moved quickly to her side along with the other boy. "Are you going to be okay?" He asked.
