Tonight the mother of a female friend I just-friends watch movies with said she didn't want her daughter visiting my place anymore because of my maleness.
I understand her intentions and reasoning and respect her wishes.
But it's kind of hard on me because I've become a very gender-blind person, looking at a person first as a human, second as anything else. I had no romantic or sexual intentions behind letting her into my place, I was just having fun with a friend.
I have only 2 close friends in the whole apartment building, both female. And 1 has a mother who would prefer her daughter didn't hang out with me unless it was in a public place. I am not supposed to bring my projector out to the lobby because the housing authority does not want my equipment put in danger of damage or theft.
Oh well, I have other means of watching movies down there in the publicness of the lobby.

I'd say early 20's. But it's apparently her foster mother so I guess she still has some ability to look out for her.

Unless she's sufficiently mentally or physically disabled, I'm pretty sure that uniformly kicks out at 18. Oh, perhaps she has a mental handicap? I never bothered to ask. And I think asking might sound creepy or rude.

Well we're narrowing it down, at least.
