Father is a teacher out of the village and her Mother tutors her on Genjutsu outside of school. She had a sister who abandoned the village to help the Senju, never to be heard from afterwards.

Life's story:
When her sister left the village, it left her emotionally crushed for a long time. She and her sister shared a closer bond than to her parents because she was the one who took care of her when they were gone, which was a lot more often than they were around. But her sister had always hated the way things were between them and the Senju and she wanted more than anything to make amends between the two. After she left, Mitsuko took up her sister's wish, but she vowed she'd find a more peaceful way to make peace between the two plans.
She devotes most of her time to studying, but she makes enough time to keep a decent social life and takes the time to go to social events around the village with her parents. Her mother teaches her the uses of Genjutsu, which she takes great interest in over direct-combat which they teach her at the academy.
Moreover, she thinks that she may be able to create peace between the clans if she can slip away some day to talk to some of the Senju. She strongly believes that if they were to join forces, maybe they could reach out to ALL the clans and create one nation of mixed clans.

Mitsuko entered the halls of her home, tired from a long day at the academy. She left her shoes at the door and groggily walked inside, where she saw her mother and father sitting down with something delicious in bowls before them. Her eyebrows perked up as she smelled it and she stood on her toes to see what it was, to her amazement, her mother had cooked her favorite beef noodle stew for supper.
With a flash, she took a seat at the table where one extra bowl was sitting and took no time in digging in to her favorite food. Her father chuckled to himself with a happy grin. "She has my appetite." He said.
