Whoo, I'm reading the Hellsing manga and it is awesome! People who talk to me a lot may have realised that my conversations are peppered with mentions of Hellsing. ^.^

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, this is what one of the characters look like:

Alucard, one of the lead characters. That's a strange pic of him, but it's one of my favourites. Naturally, it's copyrighted to Hirano-san (like I'd be able to draw that).

I've heard of this before (at least, the main character) but--not being a fan of anime in the slightest--I wouldn't want to read it.

I do dislike how they must think they're being oh-so clever with naming the character Alucard. This has been many a time before (see the super-camp 80s flick Monster Squad which is good for a laugh).

But regardless, I can't go running my mouth because I haven't read it.

Anyways, as much of a fan I am of manga, dark ones creep me out. (it is dark, right?)

Ted Logan: That's because Alucard actually is Dracula. Or a descendant. I know he's of the bloodline and that the female vampire(s) he creates is/are called Draculina(s). And it's not a they, it's a he - Kouta Hirano. Gonzo does the anime series, so I suppose that's a "they", but the original manga was created by one person.

Pants: READ IT! ^.^ Please. It is very good. Funny and dark(ish) at the same time.

Cerro: It's actually not that dark. I mean, there's violence and blood and demons and all that good stuff, but there are also some very funny bits, especially in the manga (not so much in the anime - some of the characters' personalities were butchered a little).
