I was trying to think of works of fiction where women were well dressed.
First thought was Berserk. It's dark, has multitudes of nudity, but when dressed the women are dressed like proper women.
Second was, probably to a far lesser degree, Code Geass. Kallen's pretty well dressed when not a bunny, Cornelia looks like a badass at more or less all times, and I can't recall Euphemia in a degrading outfit.
And then the third I can think of is Flipside. Where the main character is one of the most sexually active people you could imagine.
She parades around in a full body jester suit. Her lover Bernadette is even more covered in an amazing way.

So, I'm thinking.
In a work, there's probably an author's self confidence. That confidence allows them to show their characters in a non-porn setting where women are fully exposed. Berserk and Flipside? Very well dressed women, quite a bit of wonton sex. In sometimes humorous ways.
To a lesser degree perhaps? Code Geass where quite early on they pull very few punches on how much they show of Kallen in the shower.

I'm slightly curious.
In a work, if it's completely taboo to show a woman completely uncovered, how much more likely is it for ever single one of them to be nearly so at all times?

How long ago was it since women showing off their ankles or legs were considered indecent?
Americans, Englishmen and Australians seem to commonly overreact. Silly prude countries. User Image

Everyone overreacts, though.

Some more than others. I'm not sure if over-overreact is a thing. User Image

I'd say it depends on the setting and how it is portrayed.

Vigelandsparken seem to be a fairly popular place for tourism in the summer for some reason. User Image

Define "well dressed" and "proper women."

Though frankly I don't get the taboo either. It's a human body, we all have one. Kids see one naked every time they take a bath.

Kids don't know better. Therefore they're not affected by the "dirtyness" as some adult people. User Image

In some societies, a shirtless woman is as normal as a shirtless man. When told how American men act when they see a shirtless woman, they laughed and said "They act like babies?"

Age doesn't matter. Society does.

Their attire looks appropriate for a situation and comfortable.
Like warm clothing in winter. As opposed to what some fictional women wear in winter.

Proper probably either also means that or not distorted to unrealistic degrees.

And age don't matter. Society does.
And society is presently stupid as fawk.
