I got really hot under the collar the other day just sitting at lunch, and a bunch of words sort of tumbled out of me. They're not the best, by any means, but I thought I'd put them on here so I wouldn't lose them. Consider it a work in progress.
How would you treat me if I had aids, if I were pregnant, if I were missing an arm or if my legs were frozen into a chair? How would you treat me if I were black, couldn't speak English, had chemo fried hair. Would you care?
Would you care that I feel and I love and I have problems and struggles and triumphs just like you? That if you beat me, my skin stains with red blood turned black and blue. How would you judge me, If I don't listen to your lessons on judgement, if I won't love the way you hate or wait for your angry discrimination to turn me away.
So maybe I am gay. Maybe I refuse not to love what I love, refuse to hide and stoop in dusty closets away from the public eye, to lie.
How would you treat me then?
Would you great me as a friend, or pronounce my difference a difference too great, and go right back to your familiar hate.
How would you treat me if you remember I was human too, and that God loves me just like he loves you?

IntrospectiveLoser I got really hot under the collar the other day just sitting at lunch, and a bunch of words sort of tumbled out of me. They're not the best, by any means, but I thought I'd put them on here so I wouldn't lose them. Consider it a work in progress.

How would you treat me if you remember I was human too, and that God loves me just like he loves you? Hmmm I like it at least very well put, good word choices to get your point across. ^^

Thank you. It was a moment of passion, so I'm happy that the words communicate what I was getting at. Sometimes I tend to spew more nonsense when I'm angry than anything understandable.

I also love poetry. Couplets I think are my favorite, actually. I blame the "Series of Unfortunate Events" books for that.
