Not so much as a yell or cry of surprise. Antarmur'ss found the child to be...well...lacking in the common sense to be alarmed. Not that it bothered him of course. He did wonder if she had some sort of care taker above that would be frantic over her disappearance. it wasn't like he was going to just let this bit of amusement wander away after all! Antarmur'ss gently set Lina down upon the floor of the room, and his tendrils slithered back to release her. Yet at the same time he reached out to gently stroke his clawed hand over her head. So many giggles... he felt the sudden urge to snatch up some children from somewhere...perhaps later?
"No moon or stars here." He stated after a moment. She seemed eccentric, thus he supposed a serious conversation would have been useless. Around the edges of the room, small black chimeric creatures lurked. Antar was aware of their movements without even looking in their direction. Curious glowing purple eyes watched the pair...at least for the moment.

Lina slid to her knees as the tendrils released her. Her happiness never diminishing, in fact as he touched her dark hair with his clawed hand she giggled and her expression shifted to bliss. Looking up into his purple eyes as he spoke, grinning so widely that it almost didn't seem physically possible. From the corner of her pale green eyes Lina saw the small, strange creatures lurking in the room. They had pretty glowing purple eyes just like the handsome one. Without an seconds hesitation she rose to her feet and moved swiftly towards them. "Doggies!" She declared giggling brightly, heedless to the fact they were potentially dangerous or that they were not actually dogs.

Doggies? Antar turned a little to watch as Lina would bolt towards one of his darkbeasts. Yes...utterly fearless and lacking in common sense. When Lina approached the creature without hesitation, it drew itself up. The 'fur' on it's back suddenly stood on end, thus revealing it had the body of a porcupine. It's dog like head bared it's teeth and it shook it's rattlesnake tail warningly. The creature bore a pair of suddenly very long fangs at Lina...
And Antarmur'ss slammed his tail down' on the floor. The tendrils acted like whips, cracking against the stone in a sharp cracking sound. Instantly the fangs and quills on the dark beast vanished. It's purple eyes widening as Antar wordlessly warned the creature. He would not allow it to attack the child while he was present. So if Lina were to even reach out to touch the darkbeast, it would do nothing more then mewl uncomfortably.

Lina closed her eyes in a happy smile, completely oblivious to the blatant threatening response of the creature. The sharp cracking sound didn't so much as make her hesitate to wrap her arms around the creature's neck and giggle happily as she nuzzled the disgruntled beast. She was bound to get herself seriously hurt one of these days with her strange, bright fearlessness and love of curious, dark, and dangerous things. Looking up from the black beast she beamed at Antar. "He's cute. Can I keep him?" Her bright voice asked as she continued to stroke and snuggle the mewling creature.

Antar watched as Lina picked up and snuggled the darkbeast. It's discomfort only growing as she would nuzzle it. On a whole, Darkbeasts were not intended to be seen as cute cuddly creatures. They were the little lurking dangers in the darkness that Antar so dearly loved. He turned and approached Lna as she so innocently asked him her question.
"The darkbeasts make terrible pets my dear." He answered while eyeing the struggling creature. "Perhaps if you are a very good girl I might make you a special one someday. A nice big one you can ride around on. How does that sound?" It would have been a easy matter to just let her have this one...but Antar was not in -that- charitable of a mood. Not yet anyways.

Lina's eyes grew wide at first with pleading as he seemed to telling her no. Her grip on the beast as it tried to wriggle from her adoring grasp tightening. Then as Antarmuss continued to speak her eyes grew wider and sparkled with glee. "Really!!" She exclaimed brightly looking right into the handsome dark one's pretty purple eyes. Not suspecting in the slightest bit that he might be putting her off, until he felt more generous. Her grip on the beast unwavering in her enthusiasm.

Secretly Antarmur'ss was actually finding the darkbeasts torment amusing. It kicked it's little legs and made a 'hu-heff!' sound as the grip on it tightened to the point it could barely breath. Antar reached his hand out to touch the childs hair again, his head tilting to the side as he murmured. "Of course... but you would have to earn it. I don't make such gifts for anyone you know."

Her expression melted into one of pure bliss as he touched her hair again. Her grip lessening on the creature, but not enough to release the beast. There may as well have been little hearts emanating from her as he spoke softly to her. Her mind a flutter with strange little fantasies about the dark one as he spoke. Especially at the mention of not making gifts for just anyone.

Perhaps it was because of her overly innocent attitude, but Antarmur'ss just seemed to miss the lovestruck expression on Lina's face when he touched her. His claws gently stroked over her hair a few times before he turned to the window and pointed to a large stone archway that was on the other side of the cavern. "I live beyond there. My temple is open to all who wish to serve me. If you go and worship me there...perhaps I shall reward you." he gently nudged her with his voice. The darkbeast kicked it's back legs frantically to try and escape in the suddenly looser grip.

His voice brought Lina out of her fantasy world, her pale eyes followed Antar's pointing finger and for the first time saw something of the dark city since she had arrived. Her expression shifted to awe at the strange, dark cavern cityscape that she could see out the pane-less window. She was almost instantly brimming with a bright energy to go explore the bizarre city that was undoubtedly full of dark and wondrous things. At the mention of worship and reward her attention and eyes focused back on the handsome god and his pretty purple eyes. The city and everything that it held could wait to be explored. Brimming with an innocent excited energy was mentally decorating her personal shrine with all manner of her favorite sort of things. There was so much going on in her mind at the moment that she couldn't decide what to do first. She wasn't used to discovering so many stimulating things all at once so she sat there on the floor of the dark room holding the unhappy dark beast in a vicelike grip while her eyes sparkled as she looked up into Antar's eyes.

She seemed to have withdrawn into herself. Or perhaps she just had moments where she was so overwhelmed with thought that she forgot to speak? Antarmur'ss watched Lina sit herself down and smile at him. The poor Darkbeast she held seemed to give up it's attempts to wriggle free and just laid all grumpy like in her lap. Antarmur'ss backed up slowly to the glassless window, and with a small wink of his unmasked eye....he fell backwards out of it.
Of course...he would not fall far. Merely out of sight of the window before he'd vanish into the darkness. It was time for him to get back to his temple after all...and the girl would find her way where ever her destiny would bring her.
