Hey everyone!
So.. I've been writing a novel for a little over a year now.
It's almost finished, and almost ready to be published.
Now, I've wanted to make a "trailer" for the novel itself for a while,
and was just planning on making that and puttin it on youtube,
for my friends who want to read the book, to see.

I've decided to go ahead and make an entire film out of the book!
I just finished the teaser-trailer for it, and would love your opinion on it biggrin
I'm planning on submitting the film itself to Sundance and some other film festivals.
Now, remember this is a teaser trailer, so it doesn't really tell
much about what the book's about.

Even though I made the trailer, I was shocked at how it turned out,
i think it looks very nice.
Thanks if you watch and let me know if you liked it or not!

I'm moving this to the You Entertainment Discussion subforum where it belongs.

Also, the trailer's decent. There's a little too much scenery between the first sentence fragment and the next, and the cinematography of the notebook could have been set up better to showcase whatever it was you're focusing on more, but the music was nice, and the colors were really consistent the whole way through. I appreciated not being slapped in the face with random blues and greens after all those reds and oranges. That's your brother that's doing the music?

Haha ok thanks, I wasn't really sure where to post this confused

And thanks for the feedback! ^_^
I was happy with the colors too, and thought they went together really well.
No, actually it's just some random guy I met on youtube.
I was looking up music for my soundtrack,
and found one of his songs that I really liked,
and asked if he could write music for my film,
and he said sure smile

Thanks!

Looks like every other inspirational tearjerker I've ever seen. I'm sick of that genre

What makes you say it's a tearjerker? I really don't know if there's enough imagery in that trailer to definitively say what genre it belongs to.

In a sense, it is sad.
But I promise that's not what it's about.
I could give you the book synopsis if you'd like, it's written on the back of the book.

The whole story is supposed to be about fantasy, misery, and mystery.
The book/film itself reflects fantasy, while it is indeed a non-fiction setting.
Hard to describe without giving too much away.

See, that's what my first thought was, that it would be something fantasy-based. That was from the kind of journal used in the trailer and the wrought-iron candelabra, what I know about wiccan_sk8er, plus the oranges and reds. It kind of brings to mind the cover of my Inkheart book or my Dragonology book.

@wiccan_sk8er: I don't mind spoilers. Use the spoiler tags that Gaia has now. I think the code is something like this:

I think I'll give it a read.

To be honest, the trailer was a little lack luster for me. I can't really get
interested if I don't know anything about what's going on, lol.
