xxxxNEVER OFFERED ANYTHING AT ALL

Kale had merely looked at Cat when she expressed her observations over his behavior. She had known how he acted when she hired him on. It wouldn't be the first time that someone had called him a p***k. Most of the time when he conversed with women, they always called him something much worse, but they always wanted to be around him. Something that he didn't have time for. Women were good for one thing in his life, and he didn't want much else from them. It would be the first time that he had ever had a female boss. Though, he treated a lot of men the same way. If they weren't very dominant, Kale walked all over them. "One tranquilizer gun, which was used by Camille," he said, tilting his head back slightly. Things happened. Sure, he wasn't proud of bringing back two wounded shifters when he was supposed to bring them back perfect. Still, he didn't like his work to be discredited as some sloppy job when it wasn't even him. Well, he shot the tiger, but that was Camille's fault for not acting to save herself.

The attention was directed away as Chandler was the next to speak, getting an actual looking smile from Cat. It was something Kale didn't like about his employer. She was very fake. She just better hope he gets paid at the end of the day. Kale's lips pressed together when the bear was mentioned. He had seen pictures of her. A blonde woman. Attractive, yes, and it was hard to see her as a threat. Larger animal, the easier the target. It was just the same with the tiger. She may have been a deadly animal, but she couldn't do s**t to him unless she had gotten up on them. All of these animals couldn't do anything unless they actually got to the hunters. Hard to do with a gun aimed at your face.

All the attention was directed at the screens when Kale mentioned the dog trying to get out. Chandler heard Camille sigh next to him and he looked at her for a moment as she explained about the wolf. Camille was Cat's assistant and got no slap on the wrist for hurting the wolf, like the boys just had. Chandler looked away, his lips pursed together in annoyance and black to the screen. Normally, he always did his job right and precise and everything in this job was being thrown back at him. He looked at Kale who seemed to take the lock joke.

Cat's chair swiveled to face them and orders were given out. Kale was to take care of the bodies, Chandler was to gather up the females, and Camille was supposed to help Cat. Great. Kale was the first one to leave the room. Chandler got up next and followed after him. At the end of the hall is when they parted ways. Kale headed outside and Chandler headed back to the cell after passing off the keys to the cell to Chandler. Chandler's boots echoed across the walls as he walked down the long aisle. He stopped once in one of the maintenance rooms to grab a wheelbarrow. With that, he rolled the thing down towards the cell. Lights flickered and buzzed with electricity. After a while he came to the cell.

They were all still and silent as the door opened and he entered. His eyes went to the dog that was trying to get away. He looked up and saw that the dog had done a pretty good job at getting himself out. "You won't get far," he said, and turned away. This time he looked at the horse shifter that had given him such a hard time. She was sitting in the corner. She was the only one that wasn't totally bound up. Of course, she didn't have her hands, but she could speak to them and move about, which he found odd that she wasn't. Not that they would speak back to her. From the looks of it the two Grieco members were still sedated. He walked over to the tiger first. "Alright, girls. Let's get you fixed up," he mumbled to them, making idle chit chat. He looked at the horse, wondering if she should come too. She was grazed and it might need stitches.

Chandler grabbed Koreena first. Her body was limp in his arms. He put her in the wheelbarrow first, sitting her in it. Next was the wolf. He eyed it for a moment, since it was very much conscious, before scooping it up and laying it on top of the tiger shifter. "Please don't struggle, wouldn't want her to bleed anymore," he said, thinking of if the wolf stuggled it might open the tiger's wound even more. Lastly was the horse. Walking over to her, he snatched up her hands and unbound them. "Push the wheelbarrow, please," he said. If she complied he would stand behind her, with his gun and direct her to the operating room. If not, then they would do this the hard way.
