Hardly any light shines in Rufio's room except for the dim light that emanates from the two small lanterns that rest in opposite corners of the room. He returns to his room at various odd times, and when he does, he can usually be seen sitting in a chair or on his bed, fighting to recall even a small memory from his past. At any other time, he can be seen reading a book or drinking soda, water, tea, or some other type of drink. Should you wish to speak with him, this is usually the best place to do so, as long as he's here.
Large bookshelves cover one wall of the room while his bed, two nightstands, one of the lanterns, and various odd knickknacks cover the opposite side of the room. Along the northern wall rests three windows, usually covered by dark sheets to block out the light. A television rests atop a small dresser. Rufio does not have many clothes, but those he does have rest in his closet and in the dresser. A few pictures of random worlds hang on the opposite wall, where the door to his room resides. Rufio will hide items that link him to his forgotten past in his room to try and hide them from his friends.

The door to Rufio's room burst open and the violet-haired man stumbled into his room, collapsing in the chair nearest the door. The room was dark with only one lamp lit, dimly lighting a small portion of his room. Looking over at his bookshelves, Rufio remembered a small item he had with him upon arriving here in the Land of Departure for the first time. It was an odd little trinket, and he assumed it was given to him by someone that truly loved and cared for him. I wonder if that girl gave that flower charm to me? Right now, I don't think any of that would surprise me. I just wonder who the hell she even is!
Sighing, Rufio forced himself up and walked over to his fridge, pulling out an ice cream sandwich and a bottle of water. Without a word, he returned to his chair and drank some of the water before taking a bite of the ice cream. The texture and flavor struck his tastebuds like a waterfall and he couldn't help but moan with delight as he swallowed and took another bite. He would be content to just sit here in the dark, drinking his water and finishing off his ice cream while he waited for the two women to arrive.

❀Clare and Melody arrived at Rufio's room. Clare lightly knocked on his door frame. "Rufio?" The door was open and she peeked her head in his room. Rufio was sitting in his chair and eating some weird snack that she did not know of. His room was dark, almost hardly any light. "We're coming it." She smiled. They both walked in and Clare shut the door.
Clare chuckled. "It's hard to write in the dark." She joked. She helped herself to a spot on the floor near the lamp so she could see what she was writing. She opened the journal and turned the page. "Ready?"
Melody sat down next to Clare and watched what she was doing. She held the soft cloth in her hands. She hiccuped softly again. "S-sorry..."

Rufio looked at the two women and nodded slowly. Without speaking about anything else to them, he began to tell Clare about the memories he had had throughout the day. He explained the various battle scenes he had witnessed. Rufio talked about Virule and the world he had wandered in his memories. About the pink-haired woman and what she had said to him. The violet-haired man stopped every now and then to take a sip of water from his bottle of water before continuing on.
When he had finally finished, he turned his gaze to Melody and frowned. "I don't even know your name, but I know you worried about me. I appreciate your concern, and I'm sorry if I am the one that caused you to cry. If the fact that I do not remember you troubles you, I am deeply sorry for that as well." Reaching out his hand weakly, Rufio sighed and let it drop. He could barely even move, he was in so much pain. Shaking his head, he leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes. "I'm sorry. I would try to comfort you if I was feeling better. But my head..." Reaching up a hand, he put a few fingers to the part of his head that was hurting him the most. "I can barely even think right now."

❀Clare wrote down all Rufio was saying. She made sure her hand writing was clear and easy to read. She looked up at Rufio when he was done talking. She turned her head and looked at Melody. Mysterious pink haired girl from his memories. This girl had to be her. She looked back down at the journal and wrote 'Mysterious pink haired girl. She shows up here at the Land of Departure. Who is she? What connection does she have with Rufio?' She kept her ears open. If the girl spoke any information, she would write it down.
Melody looked up at Rufio. She handed the soft cloth back to Clare. She took Rufio's hand and held it in hers. She pressed her forehead against the back of his hand and looked at the ground. "I am worried because..." She paused. "I'm worried for you Rufio because I am your little sister, Melody." She pulled her head back up and looked at him. She still held his hand. "I know you don't remember much about me, but some day you'll remember me. I will help you find your memories."
She looked at his necklace, it was a cross. It was not the flower charm she had given him when they were kids. She smiled lightly. "Do you still have the flower charm? It was a gift from me."
Melody lightly nodded at him. "I have a story for you." She smiled. "There were three little kids without parents who lived in the slums of a beautiful city. The oldest brother watched after the two younger siblings. He tried his best to provide food for his little brother and sister. The middle child was sickly and stayed in bed all day and night. The youngest of the three took care of her sickly brother. If she could get him to smile everyday, she would be happy that she made him happy."
"The little girl heard tales of a flower that grew in the wilds that promoted good health from the local people. She wanted to see the flowers and pick some for her sickly brother. She asked her eldest brother to take her to the spot in the wilderness where the flowers grew. He took her early in the morning and protected her from the creatures of the wilds. They found the spot where the flowers grew. The pink flower patch was in a small clearing. The flowers bloomed in the morning light. The girl picked five of the pink flowers and went home with her eldest brother."
"She hid the flowers from her sickly brother, only to pull them out when he was sleeping. She stringed the flowers and some beads together to make a necklace for her sickly brother. The dawn of a cold spring morning woke the sickly brother with a horrible cough. The girl helped her brother sit up in bed. She showed him the necklace she had made for him. He smiled at her and put it on. He wore it everyday and smiled every time he looked at it. His health improved and he was able to get out of the bed and walk around. His little sister stayed by his side." She smiled softly at Rufio.
Clare listened close to Melody's story and wrote down who she was and how she knew Rufio. She wrote down Melody's story in the journal too. It may help him remember her later.

Rufio listened carefully to everything Melody was saying to him. First, she explained that she was his sister. Then she went into some long story, and after taking some time to think on it, he realized that he was the boy in her story. After her story was finished, Rufio nodded in response to her earlier question and raised his hand weakly, waving over towards his bookshelf. "My flower charm is over there. I think I understand now why I treasure it so much. Umm...thank you Melody."
Rufio finished off his water and tossed the empty bottle into his trash can before stumbling over to his bed and sitting down on it, laying back when he did. As he stared up at his ceiling, he sighed again and closed his eyes. "So you're my sister. I wonder when I'll truly remember you. When I'll remember anything significant aside from all the battles I've been in before. It's obvious I've been through a lot, but why did I lose my memories? I can't even remember who I really am."
Raising one of his hands into the air again, he flipped his hand over again and again, staring hard at it. "I can barely remember anything. It's obvious to me that I still have a lot to remember, but part of me is afraid to even try remembering anything more. I want to find the world I, we come from, but what if I'm not welcome? It's my fault that their queen is dead after all. I let her die. I let Virule kill her. Right in front of her children." Sighing again, he shook his head and put his airborne hand over his heart. "I just don't understand anything right now. I can't even remember those events you described in that story of yours. I feel like I was the sickly boy you talked about, but none of it rings a bell. I'm sorry." Frowning, he flopped onto his side and curled up. My head hurts so much...

❀Clare folded the soft cloth and put it back in her bag. She remained quiet and let the two siblings talk. She held the journal open just in case there was any more information she needed to write down. Rufio got up and moved to his bed.
Melody looked over to where Rufio pointed. The flower charm necklace rested on his bookshelf. She smiled and stood up. Rufio got up and stumbled to his bed. She was about to help him but he made it to his bed and laid down. She looked back at the bookshelf, then walked over to it. She found the necklace she had made him. She was happy he kept it.
She walked over to his bedside and slipped the necklace over his head. She smiled then kissed his forehead. "Your head is hurting a lot right now." She frowned and knelt down next to his bed and she leaned against his bed. "I don't know why you lost your memory, but I do want my big brother to feel better. I'll do what I can to help you." She nodded. "I'll try my best." She had heard what Rufio had said a moment ago about Virule and about their world. Her heart sunk. 'Virule...Why did you do that?' She thought. 'Why?' She looked at Rufio. "We will find our world and return home. We will find the answers to your questions." She reached her hand up and ran her fingers gently through his hair. She did this when she was little. It helped him go to sleep when he was sick. "You need rest right now big brother. We'll continue to look for answers tomorrow." She smiled softly at him.

Rufio yawned and closed his eyes, listening to Melody speak. When she said they'd return home together, he shook his head slowly. "We're needed here Melody. Need...to fight the Guild...set things right..." Rufio began to trail off until he barely made any sense at all. After a time, he finally curled up, his head resting on his pillows. He was shivering, but he managed to fall asleep with a small smile on his face.

She put the sanguine crayon away in her bag. "I'll be on my way Melody." She whispered. "Talk to you both later." She waved at Melody and left Rufio's room. She closed the door softly.
Melody smiled lightly when her brother fell asleep with a smile on his face. "Ok Rufio. Good night" She whispered to him. She stood up and covered her brother with the blanket on his bed. Melody looked over and waved back at Clare. "See you later. Thanks." She smiled. When Clare closed the door, Melody walked quietly over to the chair in Rufio's room. She sat down and closed her eyes, slowly falling asleep.

Upon finding Rufio's room, Goofy also found something else. Staring at the young man's door curiously, he reached out cautiously and removed the pants from the doorknob. Well I've found Georgia's pants. But why'd she leave them here? No, wait, I'd rather not know. Sighing, Goofy lightly knocked on the door, hoping to simply wait for a response. However, when the door opened a bit, he scratched at the back of his head and shoved it open all the way.
Taking a few cautious steps inside, he found that the only person in the room was that same pink-haired girl from yesterday. Rufio was nowhere to be seen. Well that's odd. After yesterday's events, I don't think he should be pushing himself too hard. Poor guy needs to rest up." Frowning, he walked to Melody and lightly gripped her shoulders. "Erm, Miss? Rufio's not here. Are you Melody by any chance? Georgia said I could probably find you with Rufio somewhere, but I don't see him nowhere. Please wake up."Gawrsh, I wonder what kinda connection she has with that there Rufio guy?
Melody was sleeping peacefully in Rufio's chair. She did not hear her brother leave or the knight enter his room. She stirred from her sleep when she felt someone touch her shoulder. "Hmmm?...." She slowly opened her eyes and blinked a few times. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. She looked up at the person that woke her. She had not met him before and he looked different, goofy in a way. She looked away from him and looked at her brother's bed. Her brother was gone. "Rufio is my brother." She stood up and stretched. She looked sad. She had hoped to talk to her brother some before he ran off. She looked back at the person. "I am Melody." She smiled. "I met Georgia earlier. She was really drunk. Umm...Why are you looking for me?" She was curious.

Goofy stared at Melody curiously for a moment. Actually, it was more a look of shock than anything. "Gawrsh Melody, did you just read my mind? I was just wonderin' about yer connection with Rufio and you just told me. Just like that!" Taking off his hat, Goofy rubbed the top of his head and began to chuckle again. "I think that's great that you've found yer brother again Melody. I was with him yesterday in the Medical Wing. Poor guy went through a lot yesterday. It's amazing he's able to even get up and move around the way he's doin'. Actually, I wonder where he went?"
Slipping his hat back on his head, Goofy began to look around as if he expected Rufio to jump out from his closet or something at any moment. After a short while, he remembered why he had come to Rufio's room in the first place. "Mel, we've got ourselves a mission! Did ya wanna come with us? If you're feeling nervous or anything, you shouldn't be. It's just some Wyvern Heartless that we're goin' after. I'll take care of ya." Smiling, he put his fist against his chest and stood proudly. "As Knight Captain of Disney Castle, I give you my word that you'll be safe with me. Umm, if you choose to tag along that is. Your name is on the mission paper. See?" Digging around in his pockets, he found the paper and pulled it out, unfolding it and slipping it gently into Melody's hands. "Georgia's waiting for us in the Forecourt whenever yer ready. I'll stay here with ya until you've decided. I promise."
Melody chuckled at Goofy's reaction. "No I didn't. Just wanted to tell you." She smiled. "I talked with him last night before we went to sleep. He doesn't remember me. He didn't remember the memory I told him." She frowned. "But, he kept the necklace I made for him when I was a little girl. Even though he couldn't remember he held on to it." She smiled softly. "I can't give up hope. I want to help him get his memory back." She nodded. "I'm really happy I found him again." She still had her eldest brother to find. "I'm not sure where Rufio went. I guess he had something to do."
She looked at the paper he handed her. She did not remember signing up for a mission. She looked back up at Goofy and smiled. "You're sweet Sir Goofy." She felt safe with him. "I'll go with you." She smiled again.

Goofy nodded slowly and smiled at Melody. The kind-hearted knight placed his hands on her shoulders again and looked her in the eyes. "Your brother will remember Melody. But, I noticed something when he was in the Medical Wing. When he regains memories, it kinda hurts him. So give it time and don't try to force it okay? Rufio needs all the people that care for him to be here for him and help him through this process. Otherwise, I dunno what he'd do."
Frowning, he released her and rubbed his chin as he looked up at the ceiling. "As for his location, I kinda think he's taken on another mission or something. He was so eager yesterday when he took on a mission. Ended up dragging Clare right off without even giving her much of a say-so in the matter." Chuckling, he nodded at Melody and grinned wide. "Yep, I'm sure of it. Your brother probably checked the Mission Board first thing when he woke up and went off to do it with his team. He'll be just fine. So, do you want him ta outdo ya? Let's get goin'!" Giggling, Goofy took her hand and rushed off out of Rufio's room, letting her close the door behind them.

After enjoying a nice, warm meal in the castle, Rufio took his leave and made his way silently back to his room. Once inside, he quietly shut his door and moved to his bookcase where his flower necklace was hidden. Reaching up, the violet-haired amnesiac found his necklace, grasped it, and clutched it gently within his right hand. Without a word or even a thought, Rufio walked to his bed, laid down and stared at the ceiling.
Gently spreading the necklace out on his chest, the young man sighed softly and closed his eyes. Now what do I do? Am I just supposed to sit here until Sano says I can go on missions again? I want to get back out there. These missions...these are how I learn more about who I am. Being stuck here just...it just isn't right! Frowning, he stretched out and opened his eyes again. If this necklace is supposed to help promote health and all that, why isn't it working now?! Staring down at the necklace, the violet-haired man shook his head and sighed again. Am I going to be stuck this way forever?!
