Quote: Rather than simply hand you one of the fifteen starter Pokemon, I'm going to make you go out and get one yourself. You see, there are twelve hoods in Goldenrod city. Each uses one of the starter Pokemon (Bulbasaur, Chimchar etc.) as their main Pokemon. I have a client in Goldenrod who is pestered by these losers non-stop. IN order to keep relations up, I want you to send that gaggle of trash a message by snagging one of their Pokemon. I don't care how you find them, but just come back with the Pokemon you wanted. I'll allow you to keep it if I enjoy your mission. Oh, and don't head off yet. I'm going to loan you a Raticate to battle with. Remember, treat this like you would a wild Pokemon battle. When you've weakened your foe, throw the Pokeball. The Snag Machine I'm giving you will allow you to capture Pokemon that are owned by someone else. I'm not going to bore with ethics, just know that this is probably the lightest way to send them a message...

SubonicXP Item Mission Category: Pokeballs Silph Co. Delivery Pokeballs, a neccessity for all Pokemon Trainers, without these devices it would be impossible for trainers across the world to carry with them where ever they go their faithful companions. Sure, you could have them just follow you but do you really think it would be wise to have a Pokemon like Magmar follow you into a building, thus setting off the sprinklers? Didn't think so. Any who, the history of Pokeballs go back a long way, but that's not important right now, the future is now! The world's Pokeballs are largely supplied by their modern day inventor, Silph Co. It is this business that has invented the majorty of the Pokeballs we use to do, though some were invented in collaboration with a rival company in Hoenn, Devon Corp, but Silph Co. is in agreement with them to manufacture their Pokeballs too so it works out for everyone. As you can imagine Silph Co. is always swamped with orders from Poke Marts around the world for Pokeballs and sometimes they find it difficult to meet the demands in a timely fashion. It is this very reason why Silph Co. is asking trainers from all over if they would like to help in performing deliveries for them, of course trainers who succeeded it making the deliveries are rewarded for their work. And that's where you come in! Go to the Silph Co. in Saffron City of the Kanto region, there sign up for one of their Pokeball deliveries. You will be given the choice the location of any Poke Mart or Department Store in the world to take the shipment to, the further you go the greater the reward of course. Shipments also vary in size, shipments to lone Poke Marts can sometimes be modest in size while shipments to Department Stores are always large, of course size also affects your rewards. Know this though, the Pokeballs are contained in a sealed metal crate which its lock is digital and protected by a Porygon programmed inside, making it near impossible for you to steal the contents, sorry to be of disappointment. So, if you are looking to score some Pokeballs to replenish your stock this is the mission for you! Surely Silph Co. will reward you with some of their merchandise upon completion, cause what Pokemon Trainer doesn't like to get free Pokeballs, right? Objective: ---Pick up a shipment of varying size from the Silph Co. building in Saffron City. You are then allow to choose a Poke Mart or Department Store to deliver it to, distance of delivery and size of shipment affect your rewards. Plus, don't try to steal the contents, it's protected. Opposition: ---No real way of knowing. You may come across wild Pokemon depending on the path you take or perhaps some thugs looking to steal your shipment, speaking of which there is a known group that cuts off Silph Co.'s deliveries which prompted them to use the Porygon protection. This group is known as Team Bandito, which they look upon themselves as modern day Robin Hoods but in reality they are nothing but petty thieves. They are known for using Ground type Pokemon along with cactus Pokemon, furthermore they are largely a male group. ---All opposition various on what you decide to come across, but know this, something -will- get in your way. Pokemon: ---You may capture or snag one Pokemon available at your rank. If you choose not to your rewards will be greater. Rewards: ---1-5 Snag Coins, depending on performance and how the objective is handled. Note: Due to the nature of this mission, you may complete it several times. However, do NOT do a simple copy and paste or do it too often, or else you will fail instantly. You also will gain less Snag Coins on successive performances of this mission. “You are such a good boy, yes you are!” Ariana giggled as she playfully poked into Quilly's belly. The Cyndaquil sprawled in Ariana's lap and cooed, reaching to grab her finger with his stubby arms.
Ariana looked down next to her where the sleeping Gligar rested into her side. “And you're mighty cute too, Sir Glilligan,” she added in a soft voice as to not wake him.
“Attention Passengers: We will be arriving at the Saffron Magnet Station shortly, please remember to take all personal belongings with you.”
Ariana looked outside of the window with wide eyes. The train was miles away from the city but she could see Saffron's distant skyscrapers towering high above the forest canopy. The scene was short lived, replaced by a dark wall once the train railed underground.
She sighed and slumped back into her plush seat, kicking her legs back and forth. Quilly had dozed off, his light snore filling the room.
“Aww...” Ariana placed her finger on Quilly's stomach and watched as it moved up and down with each tiny breath. “Rest well, you don't want to miss the city.”
Saffron was just as Ariana had remembered it. The buildings were marvelous, their bright and colorful window displays simply breathtaking. The streets were lively with all kinds of people walking them. There were businessmen out for lunch, performers living their dreams, and of course those on the daring edge of fashion much like herself.
There was one charming musician that caught Ariana's attention. She had the voice of an angel that sung lyrics that rattled her soul, and possessed a heavenly appearance that was more than just pleasing to the eye. Just as Ariana was about to enjoy a private concert a loud advertisement over a bullhorn reminded her of her purpose for being in the city. Regrettably, she left with a light kiss on the cheek to get to work.
“Are you sure you can handle that order?”
“Absolutely! Vermillion is a straight shot anyway, how hard could taking three crates be?” Ariana sounded sure of herself, a wide grin on her face as she stood with hands on hips.
“Very well, please have a seat while we prepare your order,” the receptionist said with a heavy sigh.
Ariana nodded and then looked behind her. She scanned the large lobby and quickly found a nearby couch to sit on.
The Silph Co. building was by far the most impressive in the city. Just the lobby itself was extravagant. Ariana had never been on the other floors but she imagined that they were all the same, big and classy.
Maybe I'll borrow this design when I start my own firm, she thought while slinking back into the couch and feeling the fabric with her hand.
Just as she was starting to relax the receptionist appeared in front the couch holding out a folder, “This is your order, give this to the service man at the warehouse and he will have you on your way. There is a map included as well so that you do not become loss.” The receptionist bowed and went back to her desk, “Good luck.”
Ariana opened the folder and glanced over the contents dismissively, “Good luck she says, this is going to be a breeze!”
Ariana leaned forward and squinted, trying to make out the sign in the back of the warehouse, but it was too far away. Probably not anything important, she figured, otherwise it would be up front by her.
When she had first arrived she handed the folder to the round man sitting up on a stool. He told her to wait there, and that's what she had been doing for fifteen minutes now. She tapped her foot and hummed a tune to herself while looking up and down the tall rows of crates.
“Alright young lady, here's ya' order,” the round man called out to Ariana as he rubbed his stubble.
Ariana turned to look over her shoulder, her eyes widening and jaw hanging as she saw a Machoke carrying one crate and a Machamp with two, “A-are you sure that's right?! I only needed three crates of pokeballs, not actual pokemon!”
The man let out a hearty laugh, “I'm sure that's right, ma'am. I hope ya' got a good way to carry those things. Wouldn't want them to get damaged, come on boys!” He commanded his pair of pokemon with the wave of his hand and disappeared into one of the rows of boxes. The Machoke set his crate on the ground, and then the Machamp stacked his two on top of it before following the man back.
Ariana felt her brow twitch and she rubbed her temple, “Just what did I get myself into...”
“That be a mighty big load ya' got tha', missy,” a deep voice with an accent exclaimed from behind.
Ariana turned around and half-glared at the man, “And what is it to you?” she snapped.
“Now, now, missy. Name's Jim, I heard you were headin' ova' to Vermill'an an' I figya'd I could help ya' out. Makin' a delivery tha' ma'self.”
“Really...? I mean, that's not against the rules or anything?” Ariana asked quietly, she didn't want someone to overhear her.
“Sure! Load 'em up and get movin'!”
Loading up Jim's truck was easier than Ariana had expected. It wasn't long before they were on the road and outside of Saffron. As they got further out she could no longer see the tall Silph Co. building in the background. It was replaced by a bright blue sky, fluffy white clouds, and a never ending sea of golden stalks.
Ariana slumped against the door, her elbow on the window frame and her cheek resting in her palm. Her half-lidded eyes counted the stones on the side of the road, “How long until we get there?”
“I reckon' we should be tha' by ni--”
putt putt putt, clunk!
“What was that...?” Ariana turned and looked at Jim with a raised brow.
putt putt putt, bam!
The car rolled to a stop on the side of the road. Ariana sat up straight and looked from side to side, “What's happening?”
Jim turned the key in the ignition but nothing happened. He tried again while pumping the gas and still nothing. “Guess the ol' lady done gone broke,” he looked to her with a smile.
“What're you smiling for? Isn't this a big problem?! We're in the middle of no where!” Ariana slammed her hands on the dash and breathed heavily.
“Now calm ya'self. There be help a few miles down da' road. I'll be back before ya' know I be gone.” Jim was already leaving the truck as he spoke.
“W-wait! Where are you going?!” Ariana jumped over to the driver side and hung out of the window watching Jim head down the dusty path.
“Just wait, I'll be back soon. Watch the merchan'dise.” He waved behind him before putting his hands in his pocket and sped up.
“Just great...” Ariana pouted.
Ariana sat on top of one of the crates in the truck's bed. Her arms folded, she was still wearing a pout. “Soon he says...It's already been two hours!” She looked up to the sky, the blue already turning into a swirl of orange and pink. She sighed, squirming in place and rubbing her thighs together.
“I can't take it anymore! I have to go!”
Ariana hopped off of the crate and climbed off of the truck. She looked from side to side and the proceeded into the grass. She stiffly walked quickly with tight fists trying to hold it in as best as she could. Only a little bit further, she thought.
“God..This is so...Undignified. If anyone saw me I'd just di--”
Her eyes opened wide as she felt something cover her mouth and pull her down. She winced when she fell into the grass and kicked her legs wildly. She looked down and say a pair of large hands covering her mouth, “Mmf! Mmf, mmf!”
“Quiet down, you're sa—OW!!” The man shouted out loudly when Ariana bit his finger. He let go of her and shook his hand, “What the hell did you do that for?!”
“What the hell do you think you're doing kidnapping me?!”
“I wasn't kidnapping you, I ju--”
“Hold it there, brother! No need to explain yourself.” Two more men appeared from behind the tall grass. The trio stood up tall like if they were posing as comic heroes.
“We are Team Bandito! We take what Silph Company steals from hard working citizens and return it to the needy!”
“Yes! We right the wrongs of the capitalist pi--”
“You guys are morons...” Ariana said indifferently as she sat up and brushed off her skirt. She realized that she no longer felt the need to go to the bathroom.
“What do you mean we are idiots?!” The leading brother barked.
“Just that. Your clothes are ragged, not to mention ill-fitting, and who taught you how to match colors? I mean, pink socks with yellow polka dots and green ascots? And those hats, really?”
Another of the brothers growled, “You will be silent you bi--”
“Hold it,” the lead brother commanded coolly, “We are honorable men and will not stoop to using such language.” He stood up straight and retrieved a pokeball from his side, “You have two options. Relinquish the goods willingly and return to Silph Co. with a message from us or return to Silph Co. with the same message except you will be battered and bruised.”
“The choice is yours,” one of the brothers chuckled.
“Do you idiots really think you can threaten me? I'm already having a bad day because that hick just left me here to meet up with you jackasses. Do you really, honestly, truly think I'm in the mood to put up with this bullshit?” Ariana's voice raised as she went on. She reached for the two pokeballs at her side and lobbed them releasing both Cyndaquil and Gligar, “I'm going to kick all of your asses!”
The leading brother grinned, “So be it, but you stand no chance. Go! Prepare to battle!”
The leading brother released his Cacnea, and his two brothers fumbled to throw out their pokeballs letting a Diglett and Cubone come out to play.
“Show no mercy, smash all of them!” the lead brother shouted, he pointed at Ariana. The Cacnea grunted and charged forward flailing its arms wildly.
“KICK HIS a** SIR GLILLIGAN!!!” Ariana shouted loudly, hunching forward a bit while tightly clenching both her fists.
The Gligar smirked and flew high behind Ariana. It quickly turned around and dived for the Cacnea. When it was in range it stabbed the Cacnea with a poisonous barb before climbing high into the air again.
The Cacnea grunted and rolled back, struggling to get back up after the attack. “No! Get up and ki--” The leading brother was cut off as a wave of flames consumed the Cacnea.
Cyndaquil leaned back, wiping its muzzle with its small arm as remnants of flames escaped its mouth.
“Great job Quilly! Ahead of the game!”
As the last of the embers faded the Cacnea laid flat on its back, charred, and unmoving. “W-w-what?! How?! NO!!” The leading brother dropped to his knees. “You'll pay for this...” He slouched forward and wept into the ground before sitting up straight again, “Brothers, avenge me!”
“Right! Cubo--!” The brother fell to the ground as Gligar swooped down low and kicked up a thick patch of dirt. “Ah, my eyes! It burns!” The brother fell to his knees crying as he tried to rub the small specs of dirt out of them.
Cubone turned to look at his master, tilting his head to the side. Cyndaquil wasted no time and pounced on the Cubone's back and raked his back with his feet.
“YES! Awesome!” Ariana jumped and kicked out her leg giving the last standing brother a view.
“Uh...Diglett...”
The Diglett blinked and then looked up seeing the Gligar coming down again. It then looked over at Cubone and saw Quilly eying him. When the Cyndaquil jumped off of the defeated Cubone's back and charged for him, Diglett instinctively retreated underneath the ground.
“Damn it Dig--”
Gligar altered his path and rammed into the brother's stomach, knocking him to the ground. Cyndaquil followed close behind, jumping on top of the brother and blowing embers into his face.
“Noo! Stop! It burns!” The brother cried, shielding his face with his arms while trying to roll away.
“Team Banditio, tactical retreat!” the lead brother called out as he stood and recalled his fainted Cacnea. He rushed over to his blinded brother and recalled his defeated Cubone for him before dragging him off by the ascot. The third brother managed to flip Cyndaquil off and scurried to his feet, calling back his hiding Diglett and running away.
“That's right! You think twice about wanting to call me a b***h next time!” Ariana shouted triumphently at them. When they disappeared into the grass she settled down and looked to Quilly then Sir Glilligan.
“You both did amazing, I'm going to have to treat my little heroes to something very special when we get back to civilization!”
The two of them responded with triumphant calls.
After all of the excitement, Ariana returned to the bed of the truck. She leaned back against a crate, half dozing as the sky turned from pink to a dark blue. Her head lazily rolled to the side and her eyes closed. Shortly after drifting to sleep she jumped up, her heart pounding. A voice had suddenly awaken her,
“Sorry tha' took so long miss--ugh!”
Quilly charged out from the tall grass and tackled Jim in the side and Sir Glilligan flew in from the other side, pinning the man against the truck with his claw.
Ariana sat up and stretched out her arms with a yawn. She pushed herself off of the truck and circled it to the front. “You should be sorry. Don't you know you it's rude to keep a lady waiting? Did you fix the truck?”
Jim struggled to respond, he could feel Gligar's grip tightening around his neck as he tried to turn his head, “Y-y-yes...”
“Good, I'll be driving. You can sit in the bed, Sir Glilligan, Quilly, you're up front with me.”
The two pokemon ran away from Jim and hopped up into the truck's cabin after she opened the driver side door. Ariana followed them in, slammed the door, and revved the engine.
Jim rested against the side of the truck, breathing heavily and wiping away the beads of cold sweat on his forehead. When he felt the truck begin to pull off he almost fell but caught himself and chased after it. He leaped and clung to the end of the truck and managed to pull himself up into the bed before Ariana could speed off.
“Thank you very much for completing that delivery. I hope you didn't have too much trouble getting here.”
“No trouble at all,” Ariana grinned. She leaned over the counter, pushing her arms together against her chest, “But I didn't get a chance to sleep all night. You wouldn't happen to have a place where a girl could go clean up, would you?”
The pokemart cashier blushed and adjusted his glasses while he took a peak down her blouse. He hesitated before answering, “Uh..I, there is plenty of lodging here in Vermillion.”
“Good!”
“Oh, by the way, I need some very special treats for two very special pokemon. You can make that happen right? Who knows, there might be a very special treat in store for you too,” Ariana winked.
