While the others fought, Shay and Rei were locked in combat. Each trying to deliver a deadly blow to the other, the two fighting on equal levels. Sparks flew in all directions from their clashing weapons, metal meeting metal with equal force.
"Heh.. I should've known this wasn't going to be busy. A former knight under the king's service should at least put up a decent fight after all.. I wonder how your little Protega brats would feel if you told them that you were a deserter!" Rei snapped as he broke away from the seemingly endless dead-lock. He swung the chain of his kusari-gama, making the think iron ball swung in a fast circle by his side. He was giving the already deadly weapon more force by adding speed to it.
"Say what you like.. I made my choice. Now leave this place!" Shay snapped as he prepared to block this attack he was too familiar with.. Though his attention was diverted when he heard Kazuki getting into a fight with Clous. Alexis was being hounded by Kyoki.. This was getting dangerous for all of them. If he didn't defeat Rei now then things would only get worse. As if this realization wasn't bad enough the battle took a terrible turn.
Rei suddenly turned his attack on Kazuki, throwing the iron ball and chain at the young boy. Shay's eyes widened in fear and panic. The man rushed forward to push Kazuki away from the attack and his current opponent.
"Just as I thought you fool.. You never change." Rei hissed, suddenly infront of the Protega member, holding his black blade in his hand. In a flash he sliced a deep wound across Shay's chest, reaching from the left shoulder down to his right side. Blood sprayed into the air as the wounded fighter stumbled backwards, his Keyblade vanishing. Shay winced in pain as he quickly reached into his pocket, reaching for an item to use in emergencies only.
"Kazuki.. Alexis!.. We have to leave now!" Shay yelled out, his voice practically dripping with pain. Alexis refused once again to leave the battlefield and with his consciousness quickly fading he had no choice.. The man grabbed Kazuki's arm as he brought out a strange item with a star on it. In a flash the two were whisked away from Twilight Town, back to the Land of Departure.
Kyoki soon joined Rei and Clous, new bloodstains on his clothes.
".. What is the Keyblade Death Count now, Kyoki?" Rei asked as he opened a Dark Corridor to start walking through it.. With a wicked grin, Kyoki answered..

Shay has been gravely injured and returned to the Land of Departure (Forecourt) with Kazuki!
Alexis is now deceased..
