Within the Research and Development division stands one laboratory where only the highest clearance members may get through, and with good reason. Laboratory D contains all of the information on current weapons created by the Soul Society, both mundane and exotic. There are even whispers of biological warfare being developed though none are willing to stand up and comment on it.
