JUSK FARON The Mutt. Ravenclaw 6th Year__________________ Jusk was sweet? Well, that certainly wasn’t a word that frequently sprung to mind when asked to describe the boy. Foul and peculiar would be more fitting, surely. Jusk was certain the girl would bite back her words on witnessing the ferocious mannerisms in which he so often uncontrollably displayed, referred to as a mutt for his cannibalistic lashes. Even so, the kind words were touching, soothing his inner beast which lay at rest. Musical expression caged the creature damaging the boy’s mind. Jusk nodded, acknowledging the girls words as he contained the bowless violin back in its case, sealing the material.
"You play a violin without a bow too?" he asked, confused by the girl’s next words. Clearly she was a musician herself, which was pleasing. A potential musical friend to bond with sounded lovely, and Jusk revelled in the prospect. Perhaps she would be in his music class, soon to take place. There Jusk would re-join with the cello he so dearly missed. Jusk’s curiosity concerning the girl’s talents were halted by her decision to accompany him on the rocky ledge that barely succeeded in seating the average student buttocks. Jusk clasped the hand confidently thrust forward, ladled with glowing trinkets. The girl sure liked to accessorize. He shook her hand firmly, body language still lightly stoic from the unexpected welcoming.
"Nice to meet you, Scarlet," he replied casually, "I’m Jusk, sixth year Ravenclaw, though I’m not sure why I’m in such house. My brain is ridiculously uncooperative at times." Jusk released the hand he forgot to drop, laughing awkwardly. He scooped up the bobbled violin case, cradling it lovingly, avoiding eye contact with his acquaintance, cheeks threatening to blush. The unease clogging the mutt’s mind was unusual, possibly due to lack of female company. Having been brought up in a predominantly male family, the only women he frequently conversed with were his Mother and little sister Lilith, who was yet to discover if she wielded any magical abilities. Jusk hoped his sibling would receive a letter not unlike his, revealing a new life of wondrous possibilities. It’d be nice to have another Faron about the castle, keeping her older brother in line; Lilith had her ways.
"So you’re a musician also?" Jusk asked, feeling somewhat rude to have momentarily day dreamed; "Tell me about your talents; I’d like to hear." He made the effort to smile, auburn-red tinted eyes burying themselves into the depth of the darkened irises situated on Scarlet’s tanned face. Though adamant to man up and maintain eye contact, Jusk’s vision couldn’t help but linger upward toward the melancholy clouds.

...Come play with me, won't you? ...I promise I don't bite. ☽ 3rd Year Ravenclaw ☾ "Come! I'll show you." Scarlet jumped to her feet eagerly, her playful nature becoming more evident with her sudden child-like behavior. She reached for his hand without a second thought, fitting her fingers between his in a gentle hold. Digging her heels into the pavement, the young witch attempted to beckon her new friend to stand, her petite frame outmatched by the tall, and fairly built Jusk.
"Stand up, silly! Were going to Music class. I'm going to show you what I play. That's much more fun than simply telling you about it." She didn't think of it much, but next to Jusk Scarlet probably looked like a little porcelain doll. More so now because of how giggly she was being.
"I bet that violin isn't even your principal instrument! Hurry Jusk, your so slow!" It was as if she had known him forever, the smile on her lips as easy as the breeze. Scarlet continued to tug on their intertwined fingers, her entire body seeming to bounce with excitement.

JUSK FARON The Mutt. Ravenclaw 6th Year__________________ Jusk’s face was quizzing as he reluctantly allowed the girl to take his hand and pull him upward, abandoning the cobbled stone wall with somewhat relief; it didn’t provide the most comfortable seating. The size comparison between the students was laughable, Scarlet’s minute frame positively mouse like against the mutt’s strong build. The Faron’s produced tall, muscular specimens and Jusk was no exception. Something about little Scarlet reminded him of his younger sibling, Lilith, and a small smiled peeked at the corners of his mouth.
"Music class," he frowned, the words spoken more as contemplated statement than a question. Had time really passed so quickly? It was time for class already? The man was suddenly quite reluctant to go, his passion for music scrabbling under the flaps of his brain, unwilling to be present. The prospect of a lesson involving music was pleasurable, but Jusk wasn’t sure whether he wanted to perform. His cello waited for him earnestly, yet any urges to play were stifled. Perhaps he could go simply to observe the talents of his new found friend.
Scarlet’s excitable nature ceased negative debates and the smile beckoning upon Jusk’s face grew to a satisfactory size, mirroring the careless, joyous expression upon Scarlet’s face. She toyed with him jokingly, amusing his dismal mind and forcing him to succumb to her happy grasp. Feet slid across the pavement sluggishly, jokingly, gradually moving at a pace passable as walking, allowing themselves to be dragged by the energetic girl. "I’m slow?" he smirked, a devious glint in his eye as his hand grasp tightened, pulling at Scarlet as though she were the slow one. Reluctant thoughts vanquished, Jusk and his friend bounded off to music class, the bobbled violin case slung casually over the mutt's shoulder.
