Hello, I just need help with this psychiatric evaluation before going on hormones.
As in… what type of therapist should I go to?

One that appreciates LGBT people. I went to a LGBT free clinic, and I did not even need to go through all that BS to get my hormones. Likely, other LGBT or LGBT sympathetic ones wil be easier to get through, since they are less likely to doubt you, which is essentially why you tend to have to do all that.

I'd suggest googling and joining the True Selves transgender forum. They have a lot of help threads, and are generally very informative and helpful. They also have a link to page that lets you look up trans-friendly doctors and therapists in your area.
