Ah, I think it goes a bit deeper than that. According to Reimu's dialog on the wiki, she claimed to be able to see people's desires. In a sense, that pretty much puts her in the same danger level regarding to priacy as the "third-eye sisters", If not a little under Yukari. The ability to listen to ten conversations at once was prety much a preset ability... wait, does that mean she's able to hear ten desires at once, originally?
Miko also stated that, to understand the ten desires is to understand humanity. Ah... *Scratches head* I think what I'm saying is, with that, she can read an enemy's move before they can even make them. (According to some extra dialog that I've forgotten.)
