Dunas Westbrook Mission: Press Button, Receive PokemonDifficulty: Easy-MediumWell this makes some sense. In addition to a rash of theft in various cities in the Johto region, devices have been popping up in cities. These booth-like objects are dispensers; for a fee, they'll distribute a Pokemon in a Pokeball, which is automatically registered as belonging to the buyer. The problem is that the owner of the dispensers, a booming company called EngeCo., has been investigated thoroughly- there's no sign of any thievery or foul play, and indeed, the Pokemon dispensed from the machines seem to have very little in common with the ones that are stolen. They're supposedly abandoned Pokemon, which have been put up for adoption- the idea is that in this way, the Pokemon are more easily adopted. Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't. What I want you to do is discover the truth. Are the machines connected to the thefts? Are the thieves working for EngeCo? Or are the two completely unrelated? EngeCo.'s CEO, Andrew Richards, has announced plans to expand into Kanto and Hoenn. If they're bad guys, we need to stop them before they can do that. Objectives:Investigate EngeCo., the Vending Machines, and the thefts as thoroughly as possible. If there's a connection between EngeCo. and the thefts, put an end to the company's public presence by proving it and taking them down. If not, stop the thieving, and clear EngeCo.'s name. Opposition:The thieves are likely to try and stop you- and if they're connected, EngeCo. will definitely send hired thugs to deal with you as well. Pokemon:You may snag one Pokemon available at your rank from the thieves, or capture one wild Pokemon. Rewards:Vary. You may receive an egg if you do an outstanding job on this mission.
Robert read over the mission details, along with a folder which contained copies of the investigations. The collections building of EngeCo was Robert's primary destination. If anyone would have any sort of hidden documentation, it would be the place where trainers 'abandoned' their Pokemon in exchange for a cash sum. While the investigation covered everything that was legally done by the police on the company, no one seemed to have tried the illegal route: hacking.
Robert's late father worked as a white-collar hacker. That is to say, he was a hacker hired by software companies and security companies to find vulnerabilities in a system or program so that those security breeches could be fixed. However, it was also that same type of job for the police department that led to his father and mother's demise. His father's activities were traced by Team Orron after he had hacked into their database and gathered a roster of member names. They left him a nasty going away present: a car bomb.
Robert himself was a skilled hacker, taught by his father. SUch a skill would prove to make or break what lay before him. With a mini laptop in his black backpack, his two Pokemon companions' Pokeballs attached to his belt along with one empty Pokeball, Robert picked up his hoverboard and went out into the dark of the night.
Robert stopped about a block away from the collections office. The building itself looked like a restored and modified warehouse, sitting out on a stretch by the Olivine City port. Robert went over and hid himself in the bushes overlooking the dock area.
"Here, get this shipment back to our Hoenn division. With this last group they should be ready for their grand opening next month. We'll load up the Pokemon you've brought us and inventory them." one of the men down at the docks spoke. Robert grinned as he listened in, unobserved. They were sending Pokemon from Johto to Hoenn and taking shipments from Hoenn. There was already talk of them expanding into Hoenn and Kanto, but that they'd send out Pokemon this far in advance?
Robert took out his laptop and hacker coder device from his backpack. Robert used the laptop to seek out any wireless hotspots. One of the hotspots he found was labeled 'EngeCo218'. It was a secured network, as he would have expected. Pluging in his coder device, Robert turned it on and activated it. The device went to work, tapping into the network and decoding out from it the password 'R1ch3ssX'. With the password displayed on the coder, Robert typed it in and tapped into the computer mainframe. Now he had to move fast. He had no idea how long it would be until someone discovered an extra computer on the server network.
There were ten computers logged into the same network, not including his. Robert ran a quick scan for hidden folders on all ten. On nine of them, there were ten hidden folders, but on one of them, there was an 11th hidden folder. Robert decided to access this computer in particular.
Robert opened up access into this computer and began decrypting the passwords to get into the deeper layers. He also made sure to inject a smart bomb virus into the computer that would go off only if someone tried to delete something. After some searching around, Robert found the oddball hidden folder.
He knew he wouldn't have time to paruse the contents. He preferred to get in, get what he wanted, and get out as soon as possible. Clicking on the folder, he dragged it over to a sidebox to copy it into his computer.
As the computer began copying, alarms started to go off in the building. Either they were onto him, or something else was going on. Either way, he was going to presume the former. Fortunately, the download was quick, allowing Robert to close up his laptop and slide it into his bag. As he began to run, however, he felt his body lifted up off of the ground and tossed towards a tree. Robert managed to turn himself when he was tossed so his face and chest would hit the tree and not his bag, which carried his laptop in it.
When Robert stood, he saw a man with a Ralts glaring at him. The man had a grin upon his face. "Don't you know it's not nice to trespass, especially after bedtime kid? I think we're going to have to punish you, a punishment you'll never forget." the man spoke as he slammed one fist into an open palm.
The man rushed forward aiming to drive his fist into Robert's face. However, it was a very simple attack, and the heft and strength of the man could easily be used against him. Side-stepping the attack and turning so his back was towards the man, Robert grabbed the man's wrist with one hand, reached around and grabbed the man's shirt with the other, kicked the foreward-most foot of the man back to tip the man's balance, and shoulder-tossed him forward.
Before the man's body could hit the ground, the Ralts used Confusion to catch the man and bring the man back to it. The man laughed. "Well now, looks like this little Pokemon's starting to actually obey me. Only took a few beatings to sink the loyalty into it. Now, hit him with Confusion! Once the other boys get here, we're going to have a little bloody piniata to play with!"
Robert released his Torchic with speed. "Flare, mission on! Use Ember!" Robert spoke. As Robert's body began to be lifted up by the Confusion attack, Robert's Torchic released a blast of fire. The searing flames scorched the Ralts, causing her to lose her concentration. This released Robert from being suspended.
"Fine, you wanna play it that way? Ralts, use Teleport." the man spoke. The Ralts touched the bog man and for a split-second, vanished. Robert decided to run towards where they were, which was fortunate as the man and Ralts re-appeared behind right where Robert himself was standing only seconds ago.
"Use an Ember sweep!" Robert spoke. The Torchicfired off another Ember attack at the Ralts, but this time the attack would last a bit longer, hitting both the Ralts and the legs of the man. The man yeowled in pain and began patting his pants to try and put out the flames.
There was little time, and Robert couldn't stay and fight. He heard the sounds of men running towards his direction. Robert placed his Torchic on top of his backpack before grabbing an empty Pokeball and afixing the thin retractable string loop to his finger. As Robert hopped onto his hoverboard, he used the SNAG device to transform the pokeball into a snag ball and tossed it at the Ralts. The ball cracked open and pulled the Ralts into it. As it closed shut, Robert used the drawstring to yank it into his hand. Within seconds, Robert headed off on his hoverboard while several thugs gave chase on foot.
Robert made a turn into an alleyway with a dead end. However, he saw a metal railguard going diagnally upwards for a handicap ramp.Robert used the hoverboard to hop up onto the ramp, grind upwards and launch himself over the wall. After buying some time and distance with this maneuver, Robert headed to a safe house.
At the safe house, Robert placed Flare on the floor and took out his laptop. After getting it out of Hibernation mode, he decided to take a look into the one folder he snatched. There were multiple text files with organization names and dollar amounts. Some of these organizations were known criminal elements in Hoenn. Robert's eyes lit up as he saw one of the group names listed: Team Orron. "Well now, looks like me joining this group was well worth it. My first real lead on the team that murdered my parents. Seems like things are about to get very interesting." Robert spoke to himself as he continued reading the documents that were in the hidden folder.
According to all of the documented evidence, their operations ran like this: They bought pokemon from three difference sources. The first was from people who were legitmately abandoning their Pokemon. The second was from poacher organizations that steal wild Pokemon and sell them off. And the third was from smaller scale criminal gangs. All of the Pokemon stolen from Johto trainers were shipped to Hoenn and Kanto, where they intended to open up shop and sell them once the expansion was finalized. Stolen and poached Pokemon from Hoenn were shipped in and used for the Johto machines This was how they were able to ensure that none of the Johto-stolen pokemon could be found or traced to them: because they were being shipped out of country. And those stolen from other countries were shipped to Johto for sale.
Robert made a copy of this and created a disposable e-mail account. He attached the folder with the files to the e-mail and sent it to the Johto police department. Afterwards he had his e-mail account deleted to remove anything that could be traced back to him. He took the original copied folder, created a mini cd to give to the boss, and then deleted the files he had on his computer. With everything wrapped up, he could turn the evidence in to his superiors.
Mission Accomplished
SubonicXP I'm impressed with your speed in already completing a mission, and one that is pretty good at that, needless to say you passed your first mission! You may keep the Ralts and as a gift for your newly captured Ralts you receive a Twistedspoon, enjoy.

Trigramatic A Little Firestarter no. 37 Posted by: A Fearful Cinnabar Citizen Request: Everyone on Cinnabar knows about the old dilapidated mansion that overlooks the sea. Of late, we've been seeing fires sprouting from the basement windows of the place and with the trees around, fire could spread fast. There have been close calls but for some reason, the fire always burns out before burning anything up. But we don't want to take any chances, nor do I think it's safe for normal trainers to go inside lest the whole building fall on them. Please calm whatever Pokemon is doing this. After doing a little research on this problem, other locals have talked about a Vulpix in the fires. Playing around like a happy little chap. But if this goes on too long, the structural integrity of the building could be compromised enough that it could pose a threat to any Pokemon that make their home inside. If you take this hunt on, be prepared for any falling debris, frightened Poison Pokemon and -- in a worst case scenario -- fire blocking the hallways. You'll need to make quick and decisive decisions. If you linger, you're apt to have complications due to smoke inhalation, burns, the works. You have license to catch this Pokemon since it'd be most convenient to the townsfolk. Make sure you make it out of the mansion alive though. Objective: Find the fiery little Vulpix and make it out of the mansion alive. Opposition: You'll find lots of wild Pokemon since the mansion serves as a home for them. As of late, they'll have been restless because of the fire. Location: Cinnabar Island, The old burnt out Pokemon Mansion in the basement. Reward: Aside from the Vulpix, the poster of the request might have something for you.
Robert took a boat out to Cinnibar in Kanto for his next mission. From what he read of it, it was an even more dangerous assignment than his last. He wasn't about to fight something he could actually confront. After all, how do you fight a fire that keeps coming back no matter how often it gets put out? Time was of the essence for this mission. Robert made sure he had a mask for this mission. It would give him at most 30 minutes before the filter failed and the small oxygen canister went empty.
The reports of poison-types living there made his choice of Pokemon obvious. Lilly, his newest addition, was a psychic-type Ralts. He already had a taste of her power when she use Confusion on him in the last mission. However, over the past week with her, she had begun to bond strongly with him, given just how well he took care of her. Now she was going to be put to use in a most serious and dangerous task.
Robert could already see the smoke and flames from the building as the boat landed. Robert made sure that his flame retardant suit was properly zipped up and ready to go. He placed Lilly on his shoulder and wrapped some gauze around her mouth to act as a filter. Once he put on his air mask, Robert ran into the building. "Mission on, Lilly. Let's do this quick."
The first floor wasn't very bad as the worst of the fire was on the second floor. Still, he could feel the sweltering heat from above. However, the Koffings and Wheezings were none too pleased, and the staircase was all the way on the other side of the room. However, there was no way he could fight them off all at once. In truth, he preferred to do as little in the way of battling as possible. However, he knew they were weak to psychic attacks, which would make any battle absolutely had to take much easier and quicker.
Robert decided to charge ahead, running forward at full speed. Two Wheezings came at them with Tackle attacks from the forward left and forward right. "Confusion the left one!" Robert ordered. The Ralts opened her eyes wide and launched a beam of psychic energy at the one attacking from their left. As the blast knocked the left Wheezing off to the side, Robert moved to his left, narrowly escaping the other incomming Wheezing.
As he reached the halfway point of the mansion, the fire above grew more intense. One of the boards above them came loose and fell down at the pair. However, Lilly used her confusion attack to catch it and toss it aside. While Robert knew how useful having a psychic type was, the heat was wearing them both out. Robert knew he had to move faster than he originally intended.
Robert quickly dodged the various poison pokemon that attacked him, only having Lilly attack as needed. Finally, they made it to the staircase. As they made their way up, the heat was becoming more intense. Robert looked over to Lilly. "I need you to use protect for as long as you can hold it." Robert spoke. The protect barrier would give them some shelter from the flames, but not for very long.
At the middle of the flaming second floor was the cause of the fire. A bouncing, gorgeous vulpix just enjoying herself, almost blissfully ignorant of the danger she was causing the other Pokemon. As Robert started to make his way towards the Vulpix, a part of the cieling collapsed over the stairwell. Robert looked back with a snap of his head. "s**t!" he cursed before he looked forward at the Vulpix. As it bounced agian, part of the floor before her broke, causing a hole to open up under the Vulpix. The Vulpix snapped out of her happy place and began to whine and yip as she was holding onto the floor with her two front paws and claws. Robert tried to make his way towards her, but she only responded with a flamethrower attack, which narrowly missed Robert and Lilly as Robert swayed his upper body to the side.
The flamthrower caught the ceiling above aflame, making the situation even worse. Robert could only think of one thing, and he needed Lilly to remain conscious long enough to pull it off "Use confusion to lift the Vulpix up and point her away from us." Robert commanded.
Nearly exhausted as she was, Lilly obeyed and used her confusion attack to lift the little fox upwards and facing towards the windows at the back. Robert rushed forward and snatched the Vulpix in one ar, just as Lilly passed out on his shoulder. He stopped and recalled his Ralts before making his way to the second floor balcony with some fancy footwork, avoiding the collapsing parts of the floor. He could feel the flames sting at him as he moved, but he finally made it outside. However, he wasn't out of the proverbial woods yet.
He was still on the second floor. His Ralts was unconscious and in her Pokeball. The Vulpix kept squirming in his arm, trying to break free, and neither of his other two Pokemon knew any psychic moves. Looking around, Robert found a weak point in the balcony floor where the flames had weakened. Robert called out his Riolu Freya.
"Use Force Palm on that spot." Robert said as he pointed to the burned portion of the balcony floor. Freya gave a nod and focused her aura into her right palm before striking, shattering the wood and creating a large hole. Robert recalled Freya before she ended up falling. Robert jumped down the hole his Riolu had create and landed inside the building back on the first floor. He rushged out of the building from there, still holding onto the Vulpix, which was struggling even more intensely.
The fire patrol came and began dousing the fire with their Blastoises and Wartortels. With the Vulpix removed from the building, there was no more worry that the fire would start back up again. The main structure of the building was still standing strong, and a few of the poison Pokemon would have to go to see the island's Nurse Joy to be healed. Still, the mansion would need repairs.
The Vulpix managed to bite Robert's arm and hopped free of him. She tried to make it back to her mansion, but Robert would not allow for it. "Freya, hit Vulpix with Force Palm and knock it back towards me!" Robert said as he released his Riolu once more, causing her to stand in front of the Vulpix. The Vulpix tried to stop in mid-run so she could attack, but Freya was fast, charging her aura into her right paw and striking the Vulpix in the chest, sending her backwards. As the Vulpix tried to stand back up, she felt her body unable to respond very well, the result of Force Palm's paralyzing effect. Robert took one of his empty Pokeballs, but as he did the Vulpix nailed Freya with a Flamethrower attack.
Robert had to end this fight now."Quick Attack!" Robert called out. Freya winced in pain a bit from the burn the flamethrower left, but did as her master asked, charging forward at increadible speed to slam hard into the Vulpix, sending her flying towards Robert. Robert tossed his Pokeball at the Vulpix. As the ball struck the airborne fox, it cracked open and sucked the fire fox into it before snapping closed. The Pokeball wiggled a few times, but once the red light faded, the capture was confirmed.
With the fire out and the situation under control, Robert headed to the Pokemon Center on the island to get his Pokemon treated, as well as himself. He had suffered a few burns from the fires as well as the bite the Vulpix gave him, but thankfully nothing serious. Once his Pokemon and himself had been treated, he'd board the boat and head back to HQ.

Atlantis_Darts Protect Your Heart - Ranging from Easy to Hard - Backstory Development MissionYour background when you join Snagem, other than what you reveal or tell yourself, is rather unknown. Your hometown/place of birth is under attack. Show what has happened there throughout time as you help defend it. This mission is all about what you want to happen to your hometown, and gives you a chance to lay down some back story for your character. Ridiculousness in this mission will not be tolerated. Show what shaped your character into the person he/she is today, and protect the place you once called home. Protect your heart. Objectives:Defend your hometown from destruction. Pokemon:You may snag one first or second evo available at your rank, if you have trainer opposition. Rewards:Depends on how well it was done, and how much backstory you added to your character.
Robert sat aboard a jet airplane headed for the Hoenn region. While Snagem's mission in the Unova region was very important, this most recent news was enough to make Robert break away from the mission after getting permission. The others were very skilled, and he had left them with a copy of the reprogramming code so they could use it to reverse the flow of Cipher's machines.
Robert never thought in all of the time since his parents' death that he'd be returning to Petalburg City. However, there had been a number of kidnappings reported. But it wasn't just the kidnappings that caused Robert to push for this mission. His childhood friend Lilly Fontaine, was one of the missing. She was the one he named his Ralts after. So far, there had been no sightings of the victims. No ransoms, no bodies, no clues. There was something highly disturbing about it all, and he couldn't help but worry for the life of his friend.
Despite how fast the jet was, it was still a few hours of waiting before the plan touched down. Robert closed his eyes and began to drift back into time in his mind. Back to when he was happy, before Team Orron took away everything from him.
He lived in a small forest green and wood trimmed suburb house along the outskirts of Petalburg, close to the Petalburg Forest. It was nice living just far enough away from the main city to not have to deal with all of the noise and crowds, yet close enough to go to the malls, play in the parks and access the Pokemon Center.
His mother was always at home, taking care of him and the household while his father worked as a white-collar hacker for Simtek Security. Despite the rather large paychecks his father got for helping the company fix holes in security programs and helped bring the company to become one of the world leaders in computerized security systems, they didn't live an extravagant life. What wasn't spent on the family, homestead and other needs and wants was often split up. A small portion was put into a college fund for Robert while the rest was donated to the Pokemon Center and Ranger League.
His mother kept a Mienshao and a Growlithe as pets. Robert spent much of his time playing with and training the young Growlithe while the Mienshao helped his mother around the house. However, the Mienshao was more there for the family's protection. He remembered one night hearing some noise below his second floor room, the sound of glass breaking. His parent's were out at a company party. While this caused the alarm to go off, the burglar was not deterred. Instead, he was more rushed to grab something for his troubles. The only thing the burglar managed to get was an aura sphere to the midsection. Robert witnessed the whole event. The thought made Robert chuckle a bit as he remembered it.
Robert often wondered about his father's job. It seemed weird that his father's job was to hack into other peoples' computers and such. His father once told him that sometimes to do a great good, one must bend the rules. There was plenty that the police couldn't do because of their strict rules and regulations, and so sometimes one had to act outside of the law to help others. His father even taught Robert how to hack as Robert showed more interest in it.
His mother didn't approve, mostly because she was a very moral woman, but she understood the necessity of her husband's work. In order to instill some stronger morals into the boy, she had him enroll in the local martial arts dojo. There he was trained under the strict tutelage of Johnathan Masters. The training was grueling at times, and at some points even dangerous. However, it helped him to focus more on details, which aided him not only in school work, but ironically also in hacking.
And then there was Lilly. She was the daughter of his next door neighbors. She was always such a tomboy. While other girls were playing with dolls and into fashion, she wore a white tee with blue jeans and loved going off with Robert on 'adventures' into Petalburg Forest. Robert's Growlithe Farah always accompanied them and often pulled them out of dangerous situations. But in school and outside of school, they were always together. He even overheard their parents make jokes about them getting married in the future, though both Robert and Lilly would openly refuse the idea. Of course, it was mostly out of embarrassment that they did so.
But now her life was in danger, presuming she was even still alive. As much as he didn't want to admit it as a child, Lilly was the world to him. He didn't want to go back to Petalburg until after he had taken care of Team Orron, but this was an emergency. And with Team Snagem's best dealing with Team Cipher in Unova, he was the only Snagem that could take this job.
Once the plane landed, Robert grabbed his duffel bag off of the conveyer belt and headed off into the city itself. He wasn't sure if anyone would recognize him. When his parents died, he was just a teen. Still, he didn't want to bring attention to himself. Donning a hood, Robert headed out to what was his parents' house.
Robert stood on the lawn, looking at the house, which was left untouched since the day Team Orron planted the bomb inside his parents' car. The house was under his name according to the deed, so he still owned the place. Looking at the partially destroyed house and the crater in the driveway from the blast brought back painful memories for Robert.
He remembered himself in his room studying. His parents called up to him that they were taking the Pokemon to the Pokemon Center for a check-up. Robert normally came with them, but he had to finish up his Tech and Society paper for his final exam in school, so he only responded that he still had to finish his paper. That paper was his lifesaver, and he didn't know it until it was too late.
He heard a massive explosion and felt the house shake like it was just hit by and earthquake. Once he got to his feet, Robert ran towards an area that was opened up in the second floor hallway. There, through the flames , he could see what was left of the car, and of his parents. Bits and pieces of car scattered everywhere, along with parts of his parents' bodies. It was the most horrifying thing he had ever seen, an image that continued to haunt him.
“So, you finally come back.” a male voice called out to him from across the yard. Robert turned his head to see Lilly's father, the now chief of police. At the time when the murder occurred, the man was a junior officer. Robert remembered how the man argued with the past chief of police that the case be pursued. “I'm sorry I couldn't do anything, but I found out after your ran away that they had the chief's children hostage. If he had gone after them, those kids would be sharing your parents' grave.” the man spoke in a solemn tone of voice.
Robert looked straight at him with only one question on his mind. “What happened to Lilly?” Robert said calmly. The man cracked a smirk at a thought, remembering how close the two were. “You still care about her, don't-”
“WHERE IS SHE!!!” Robert snapped, cutting the Lilly's father off mid-sentence. He had already lost his parents and his family Pokemon friends. He refused to lose the last, most important thing in his life. Lilly's father shook his head. “If I knew, I'd be there, not here. She was last seen at the Grand Festival. She had won first place with her Ninetales and Mightyena, but then she just vanished. All that we found of hers was her Mightyena. He led us to Mount Chimney, and we've been scouring that place all over. We've searched all of the caves with our best Arcanines, but there's been nothing.” the man spoke.
Robert began to head towards the backyard. “I know what you're going to try to do, and I won't stop you. But please don't lower yourself down to their level. Don't let revenge overtake your soul.” the man spoke. Robert stopped in his footsteps and glanced back at the man. “Beware when fighting monsters that you don't become one yourself. You've no need to worry.” Robert spoke calmly before he headed off into the woods behind his house. He wanted to at the very least breath in the air of the woods he played in as a child.
As he walked, his foot struck something and sent it rolling out in front of him. He glanced down to see a shrunken Pokeball. It looked like it had been severely seared, but the markings were old. There were also dried blood on it. Robert raised an eyebrow and knelt down to pick the ball up. There were a few cuts in the ball, but none deep enough to damage the internal machinery. There was even a bit of moss covering it. Robert pressed the button, and to his surprise, the ball expanded. Then the ball cracked open and a red beam shot out.
Robert;s jaw dropped just as he himself fell to his knees. Standing there, staring at him with those cute puppy-dog eyes was a Growlithe. Not just any Growlithe. HIS Growlithe. “Farah? Farah, you're alive!” Robert spoke in an almost trembling tone of voice. The Growlithe barked and leaped at him, licking Robert's face rapidly and repeatedly. Robert could do nothing more than wrap his arms around his old Pokemon friend. Somehow, the Pokeball was launched from the car and while damaged, remained intact enough to protect the Growlithe inside. However due to the damage, the Growlithe couldn't get out and was trapped in data form. Had the ball been damaged any further, the Growlithe would not have survived.
Robert began looking around to see if he could find another Pokeball, hoping that maybe his mother's Mienshao was lucky enough to survive. However, the closest thing he could find was a broken shard of a Pokeball. If it was Mienshao's, then that meant there was little chance that the other Pokemon was alive. But at least one of his friends was alive. Robert shrunk the old Pokeball and took out a fresh new one. Using the SNAG device to turn it into a SNAG ball, Robert used it to recapture his old friend. The old ball was pretty much broken and useless at that point, but it was a small reminder of why he was fighting. To bring organizations like Team Orron and Cipher down to their knees.
There was no time to lose. Robert went into the shed out back to get out his old motorcycle, the same one he used on his very first mission, the one where he caught his Torchic. Tossing on his helmet, Robert revved up the engine and took off like a bat out of hell, tearing up the grass in his yard as he hit the roadway. His destination: Mount Chimney.
Robert arrived to find the place swarming with police. Chances were either the people responsible were well hidden, or they used this place as a decoy site. Robert pulled off of the road and into the woods. While the chief of police was his best friend's father, he wasn't about to trust the other officers. That, and if the criminals responsible were watching the area, he didn't want to alert them to his presence. Peoples' lives were at stake. Lilly's life was at stake.
Robert cracked out his laptop. He began searching for any sort of wireless signals, not just WiFi access points. Aside from the police broadcast signals, there was one other signal being broadcast, but not outwards away from the mountain. It was looping with itself, meaning the signal was centralized to that particular location. Robert tried to hack into it, but as soon as he tapped the signal, a virus began attacking his laptop. Robert's personally created Antivirus and protections were strong enough to stop it from infecting his laptop. In order to minimalize detection, he immediately turned his laptop off by pulling the battery. Putting his laptop away in his bag, Robert knew one thing for certain: they were in the volcanic mountain. The trick now was to find what the police were having difficulty finding: a way into the volcanic base.
Robert pulled out Freya's Pokeball and released the little Riolu. While the Arcanines had strong senses of smell, Freya could sense auras. Robert knelt down to Freya and looked into her eyes. “I need you to try and sense any aura that's deep below us or within that mountain that isn't accompanied by an Arcanine.” Robert explained.
The little Riolu closed her eyes and began sensing her environment. She sensed several life forms below the ground under the nearby lake. Freya ran to the lake and pointed down at the water. At first Robert didn't know if she found what he was looking for or just a large school of water-types, but there was only one way to find out. Robert got out of his trench coat and placed his bag on the ground. Robert took a deep breath and then jumped into the water to take a look around.
What Robert saw was a large glass tube extending from the base of the mountain down into the lake floor below at an angle. It was large enough that one could drive a tank through it. That had to be it. Robert swam back for the surface and then to the shore.
Though Robert was soaking wet, he put the coat back on, grabbed his backpack and headed over to a portion of the mountain base that wasn't crawling with police. He kept Freya out to sense potential danger, whether it be in the form of the criminals or the police forces. The last thing he needed was for the police to mistake him as one of the criminals. He managed to find a narrow cave entrance to take him inside the mountain.
Robert let Freya lead him in the direction where Robert saw the glass tube shaft meet the mountain base. When they arrives, they were in a large cave with what looked like a solid cave wall. But what he also saw was a security camera high up on that wall. It was camouflaged, but he saw it move away from his location. Robert hid himself behind a nearby boulder to prevent being detected. That meant that he was right on target, and now came the next obstacle; trying to find a way into the base.
Freya noticed a bit of a draft coming from somewhere and looked over to see what looked like a small boulder. On closer inspection, she found that it was a lightweight false cover that covered a ventilation shaft. She poked at Robert's side, pointing to her discovery. The shaft itself was attached to the inside base of the glass tunnel, and was made of typical aluminum. While that meant visual concealment, it also meant if he went through, he'd have to hope no one would be able to hear him move around. However with what was on the line, he'd have to take that chance. Taking out a screwdriver, Robert removed the grating and began his decent, using his hands to prevent his from sliding down the angled shaft too much. Freya rode on his lap and used her senses to try and get a good read of the area ahead.
At the base, Freya looked past the grate before them to scout out the area. It looked like a warehouse , but with rather disturbing contents. Several water-filled tubes lined the warehouse, and inside each one, attached to several wires and tubes, were the kidnapped victims. Only some of them didn't look human.
When the coast seemed clear. Freya used Force Palm to knock the grate open, sending it skidding across the floor. Fortunately the noise of the generators nearby covered up the noise of the grating popping out. Robert looked at the room in a state of shock. Some of the victims looked like incomplete Pokemorphs. Others looked like withered, lifeless shells. Robert kept to the right wall, using the tubes as concealment from the roaming patrols.
Eventually he made his way to a stairway that went into the right side wall, leading up to the second floor. As a patrol guard came by the stairs on the second floor landing, Robert jumped out and slammed the man in the gut, causing him to bend over forward. Robert followed this up with an elbow strike to the back of the man's head, knocking him down and unconscious. After dragging the man down and placing him behind one of the tubes, as well as swiping a key card from the man, he returned to the second floor.
Robert headed down the hall until he came across a door with a key card swipe lock. Using the card, Robert swiped it, causing the door to open. Inside two scientists and an armed guard looked at Robert. As the armed guard reached for his gun, Robert rushed the man and kneed him right in the babymaker before swiping the gun and braining the man over the head with the buttstock.
While one scientist ran, the other pulled out a Pokeball. “I don't know who you are or how you got here, but by the time I finish with you, you'll wish you were one of our experiments! Go Klang!” the scientist called out as he released a Pokemon that could only be called a pile of living gears. “Now, kill this intruder with Gear Grind!”
Robert released his Ralts, giving himself two Pokemon to work with. “Protect!” Robert shouted as the gears flew at them. Ralts jumped forward and cast about a protective dome, knocking the two gears to the side. “Now, Force Palm!” Robert called out, causing Freya to lunge into action.
However, the scientist didn't seem worried at all. “Metal Sound and follow it up with Mirror Shot!” the scientist called out. The sound blast knocked Freya out of her attack, and the Mirror Shot that followed sent her right into the Ralts. While Freya was able to stand up form the impact, the impact knocked Ralts into a wall and KO'd her.
“Now, let's finish this. Zap Cannon!” the scientist called out. The Klang began charging up a powerful sphere of electric energy before firing it, not at the Riolu, but at Robert.
“Vacuum Wave!” Robert called out as he jumped to the side. Freya jumped onto Robert shoulder and let rip with a strong wave of energy it intercept the attack. However, the blast radius caught them both, launching Freya and Robert to the wall.
Robert struggled to get to his feet. And as Freya did the same, her body began to glow. Soon, after a burst of light faded, Freya launched herself at the Klang, not as a Riolu, but as a Lucario. With several furious attacks of Close Combat, the giant gear Pokemon soon became a punching bag Pokemon, each strike hammering the Klang into submission.
The scientist snarled before striking the self destruct button on the control panel. “You've just doomed all of the people here and everyone in the blast radius of the volcano! Let that though haunt you until you die!” the scientist yelled as he went to make his getaway, destroying the card reader to cause the door to permanently lock. Robert got back onto his feet and pulled out his laptop, jacking himself into the computer system. Viruses or no, they had ten minutes until everything went to hell.
Sweat dripped over Robert's face as he used everything he had at his disposal to overcome the invasion virus and hack into the terminal itself. The security measures on the terminal were unlike anything he had to face before. As seconds passed, Robert got deeper and came closer to the core, and after seven intense minutes, he finally got control of the system. With it, he shut down the self destruct. He then began going through all of the files in the computer.
His eyes went wide as he pulled up the main screen. He had seen that logo before. It was the same logo of one of the men who was arrested two days prior to the car bomb planting, an arrest his father made possible. An arrest that would cost Robert's father and mother their lives.
“Team...Orron...” Robert said through clenched teeth. Robert went through the documents. According the everything there, they were planning on turning the kidnapped victims into Pokemorphs. Step two, which they thankfully did not yet get to, was brainwashing the victims into vicious killing monsters. They would then send these transformed people out into the world to cause chaos and put out a fake warning of a mysterious plague that turns people into mindless Pokemorph monsters, and that they held the vaccine to treat it. Of course, the vaccine would be nothing more than a flu shot, a placebo intended to make people think they were safe from a non-existent disease, and that only those who swore fealty to Team Orron would get this fictitious treatment.
Also, another item of interest came across Robert's screen. The devices that Cipher were producing in the museum lab was a patent they had actually taken from Team Orron and modified. The Chi extractor. Robert hoped this patent was not outside of the facility. He downloaded the patent into his laptop, then deleted it from the computer's database.
However, that was something to send to the police, and it was not his chief concern. He went though all of the listed victims. Seven victims were dead, failed experiments. Fourteen of the victims were in the process of morphing. Only five had completely morphed, and among those five was Lilly.
Robert hacked into the system to released those that were fully morphed and awaiting the stage two brainwashing phase. There was no way to save the dead, and there was no telling what would happen to the ones that were not fully morphed if they were awoken and released from their tubes. Finally, he opened up the main doorways connecting the lab to the mountain.
Recalling his fainted Ralts, Robert had Freya beat down the locked door with Close Combat. He and Freya rushed down the stairs and into main warehouse. Because of the self destruct alarms from before, the base was evacuated, leaving their victims behind to be slaughtered in a fiery explosion. However, that was a fate he managed to avert. “Lilly?!” Robert called out. The tubes were lifting as the waters were drained from the tubes. Five bodies fell out after the machine released them from the cords and tubes. There were five full morph bodies, but only one female. The males were an Agron morph, a Luxray morph, an Eevee morph and an Arcanine morph. The female was a tawny-furred, red eyed Ninetales morph. All five of them began to stir. “Lilly! Are you alright?!” Robert said as he knelt down before the female Ninetales.
As the female looked up, she saw the face of her old friend. “R-Robert? It's-it's really you, isn't it? W-what happened?” she asked before going into a complete state of shock as she saw that her body was drastically different. She also realized that she had nothing on, instinctively using her tails to cover herself up. “What's going on? This-this is a dream right? Please, tell me this is a dream! A nightmare! What happened to me?!” she yelled, grabbing Robert's arms with a look of fear in her ruby eyes.
Robert closed his eyes and answered at first only by wrapping his arms tightly around her. She was no longer human, but for him, she was still Lilly. And this mess was just another sin Team Orron was going to pay for. “I'm sorry Lilly. Team Orron did this to you. They were going to brainwash you and the other victims and use you as tools for war. But, I'm glad your still alive. You're safe now Lilly.” Robert spoke as tears began rolling down his cheeks.
Lilly closed her eyes as well and leaned against Robert, crying tears of anguish over the loss of her old body mixed with tears of joy over seeing Robert again for the first time since he ran away to avenge his parents. “You know, if you keep holding me like this, people will get the wrong idea.” she spoke, expecting Robert to release her and start denying any feeling he had for her that she also had for him. But his response wasn't what she expected.
“I don't care if they do. Now, take my trench coat and cover yourself up. We'll find some clothes for your friends to wear, and I'm sure the police will be on their way here. You go to them and go to your father. He's worried about you.” Robert said as he slowly released her from the hug.
Lilly glanced off to the side. “You sound as though you're leaving again. Do you...really not want to be here in Hoenn with us? Are you really going to live for revenge?” she asked as though she were about to lose Robert all over again, remembering back to the time he left.
It was a raining night when Robert got out on his motorcycle. Lilly ran out in front of him to try and stop him, only to have him serve around her and head off, never to be seen again. She feared he would become swallowed up by a thirst for revenge, that he would no longer be the same Robert she knew.
Robert lifted her muzzle up and kissed her mouth for a solid moment before looking into her now red eyes, eyes that used to be as blue as the ocean. While it took Lilly by surprise, she didn't pull from it. Robert shook his head to her. “Not revenge. But where I'm going, you shouldn't follow. I'm a vigilante, a criminal, and I intend to bring Orron down once and for all. But I'll return home one day. And I hope you'll be waiting for me when I do. Just please, be patient.” Robert spoke as he gave Lilly his trench coat to cover herself up with. “I'll keep in touch.” he said before he ran towards the exit with Freya.
He left the mountain just as the Police arrived at the scene. Robert could only hope for the best for the surviving victims, and for Lilly. Robert hopped onto his motorcycle and headed back for his home. The police chief, Lilly's father, would be waiting for him.
Robert stopped the motorcycle and looked over at the man. “I....received the reports over the radio. You saw her. Is she...?” the man stuttered as though he were living a nightmare.
Robert glanced at him. “She's alive.” he spoke before he took out his laptop and an empty mini cd. Opening up his laptop, he copied all of the info he gathered from the Team Orron lab and handed it to him. “But she's going to need you more than ever now.” he spoke before putting his stuff away.
The police chief took the cd and gave a nod to Robert's words. “So it's true. They turned my little girl into a...”
“Lilly in a different body. But she's still Lilly. I'm not sure how the world is going to react to her and the others, but she'll always have you and your wife to support her. And she'll always have me.” Robert spoke to the man.
The police chief chuckled a bit. “I always had a feeling you and Lilly were in love with each other. So, when should I schedule the wedding?” he half-heartedly joked, trying to at least calm himself. Robert chuckled a bit in response, uncharacteristically of how he used to be.
“I'd say one week from when Team Orron is down for good.” Robert spoke in response. The man gave a sigh and shook his head. “Still pursuing vengeance...” he muttered. Robert shook his head. “Not vengeance. Justice. There's too many things the police can't do and groups like Orron will always exploit those loopholes.” Robert replied.
“So then, is there anything I can do for you? I may be the chief of police, but I'm still Lilly's father and I am still a friend of the family. While I don't always agree with the whole vigilante thing, it's needed every now and then.” he asked, looking up at Robert. Robert smiled and glanced at the house behind him. “If you could, I'd appreciate it if this house got repaired. The other morphs can live in it until I get back or until they're able to live on their own. And one more thing...” Robert spoke before he looked back to the Police chief. “I was never here.” he finished before riding off towards the airport to head back to Unova.
The chief watched Robert ride off and out of sight. “Right. But you'd better be there for my daughter when the time comes.” the man muttered before he walked over to the approaching police vehicle. Lilly ran out to embrace her father, and once things were straightened out, the other four morphs were moved into Robert's home as a temporary shelter, while the other morphs that were still in their processes were watched over by Hoenn scientists in order to complete their morposis and help them reclaim some sort of life. The seven that died were buried in a special cemetary set at the base of Mount Chimney.

SubonicXP Tier Advancement Mission #1 Objective - Prevent Team Ninja from capturing the shiny Scizor. - Don't allow them to anger and rile up the Pokemon of the mountain. - Send them packing. Opposition - Team Ninja of course. Going by their numbers I would imagine you would face at least two members of the group with between two and three first evolution Pokemon each. You may also have to face the leader, a red headed scarf wearing teenager named Takashi who uses three Pokemon, them being Nincada, Koffing, and Ninjask. Pokemon - You'll mostly encounter the wild Scyther of the mountain who are extremely active in protecting their leader. You may capture/snag one first stage Pokemon (Includes non-evolving) Rewards Advancement to Bronze Snagger in Tier Five! Varies from there.
A bunch of troubling kids. It seemed like the recipe for the downfall of most Teams., or at least the truly evil ones like Team Rocket. However in this case it was a bunch of kids who obviously cared little to nothing about their Pokemon. According to the details, they styled themselves as ninjas. Basically the mission was to give a couple of idiot kids a spanking before they get themselves into some seriously bigger trouble.
Considering their fondness for poison type Pokemon, it would be a good chance to give Flare and Farah a workout. Especially Farah after being apart for so long. It would be a good way to get their teamwork back into the swing of things. Freya was pretty much immune to poison thanks to her evolution into a Lucario, and Lilly his Ralts could easily handle Poison types.
Robert dressed as a ninja for the purposes of having a better chance of sinking some messages into their thick skulls. He headed down the familiar path leading away from the HQ. After having been at the HQ for a while, he learned the safer paths to travel. There were still Pokemon, but not as many along those particular paths. That, and he took care to step quietly around areas with groups of wild Pokemon, giving them plenty of space. He also had some dried berry slices trail mix that he could toss out to try and placate some of the less angry Pokemon.
Robert had Freya out of her Pokeball for the purposes of finding the kids. Not many humans traveled around Mount Silver with the exceptions of really strong trainers including the Elite 4 and Champion, and the members of Team Snagem. Thus, finding little kids with much weaker auras than grown adults and older teens would not be a problem. With her new evolution, Freya could sense farther and more accurately than before, given her extra pair of sensory lobes. She could see auras in much greater detail than merely size and intensity.
One Freya sensed the children, she would lead Robert to them. They would have to take a detour, however, to avoid the Scyther nest. Considering the poor health of their elder, going anywhere near the Scyther nest would mean serious trouble, trouble those children would be in if they somehow managed to get close enough. Those blades weren't the discriminating sort.
Robert watched as the group of children came across a sleeping Onix. He sat perched on an overlooking outcropping, unseen by the children. “Man, stupid rock snake! Get out of our way!” one of them shouted. As the Onix's eye opened, it saw the kids pull out wooden toy katanas, poising themselves to attack.
“Freya,” Robert spoke through his purple ninja mask, “use Metal Claw.” Giving a nod to her master, the Lucario lunged down from the outcropping. The spike on her right hand remolded into a set of three blades. Upon landing between the Onix and the children, she swiped forward, cutting their toy sword blades to pieces. Robert himself hopped down from the ledge and landed on his feet in such a way that he appeared as if he was the real deal. He had one hand behind him holding Farah's Pokeball, while his other arm was held up along the center of his chest, his hand held in front of his face in a ninja style with his pointer and middle fingers pointing up and touching the tip of his nose, while his other fingers were curled. “Be at ease Onix, go back to sleep.” Robert said in a calm tone of voice. Freya used her auric telepathy to reassure the Onix that they were there to deal with the children.
“Hey! You're in our way you fake!” one of them shouted. The second one shook his head. “Dude, I don't think he's a fake. He just appeared out of nowhere!” the other said. The first one, their leader stroked a finger horizontally along his nose. “That's not a poison type Pokemon. Ninjas only use Poison, Dark and Bug types!” he exclaimed.
Robert remained stoic in his stance. “You, child, know nothing of the ninjitsu arts. We are not as limited as you think in our selection of Pokemon. An aura user like Lucario is perfect for tracking down prey like yourself. However, you little moths are too close to the flames of destruction. You are not ready for what lays ahead. You lack discipline, you lack stealth, and above all, you lack respect.”
One of the kids pulled out a smoke bomb to try and use it to make their way around Robert. As soon as Robert saw the black orb, he issued a command to Freya. “Ninja Art: Psychic snatch!” Robert commanded. Freya channeled her aura into a psychic energy and used it to 'catch' the smokeball as it left the child's hand. While Freya was no Psychic type, she knew how to use the move well enough to pull off the maneuver. Using her mind, she floated the smokeball into Robert's hand. Robert put the ball away in his back pocket.
The two followers of the group looked on in awe, while the third became clearly more irritated. “You cheap b*****d! We are Team Ninja, the greatest ninjas of all and we are going to beat you! Then that shiny Scyther will be all ours!”
The yelling was starting to make the Onix behind Robert very grumpy and irritated. While Freya could potentially handle a battle against it, that would leave the chance for the kids to get away. Robert swapped the Pokeball in his hand for his Ralts' Pokeball. “Lilly, use Hypnosis on the Onix so he can rest, even with these noisy kids about.” Robert spoke and he released his Ralts from her Pokeball.
The little psychic type came out from her Pokeball and began using hypnotic waves to lull the giant back to sleep. The leader, the one known as Takashi, laughed at the sight of the Ralts. “You call that a ninja Pokemon? It's a total wimp! I shall crush your Pokemon and we will be on our way to claim the prize that is rightfully ours!” the boy clamored.
Robert shook his head. “How very sad. You seek to claim an elderly Pokemon that's too old to be able to fight simply because it's shiny. You prove more and more that you know nothing of ninjitsu. And if you believe this Ralts to be weak, then by all means, prove your skill. I challenge all of you, all at once!” Robert spoke before releasing his Growlithe, giving him a total of three on his field. It was time to teach these children the errors of their ways.
The first of the two followers tossed in a Zubat, while the second sent in a Grimer. Takashi took out his Pokeball and brought out his Ninjask. A true three on three battle.
“Ninja Art: Shadow Ball!” Takashi called out. “Ninja Art: Toxic!” the second kid called out. “Ninja Art: Air Cutter!” the third called out. The Ninjask gathered ghostly energy into a ball before launching it at Lilly, while the Grimer shot off a Toxic blast at Farah and the Zubat launching wind scythes at Freya. Robert, however did not seem worried. Instead he brought his hands together as if using them to command his Pokemon to gather close. “Ninja Art: Teleport!” Robert called out.
As Freya and Farah touched Lilly, the Ralts used Teleport to move them out of harms way and reappear up close to the foes. Of course, this move was exhausting to the Ralts, but these kids didn't seem like professional Pokemon trainers.
“Now, Ninja Art: Pincer Flame: Fire Fang and Fire Punch!” Robert called out, pointing his open palm hand at the Ninjask. Unlike the trio of children who all picked individual targets, Robert's Pokemon both aimed for the same one: Ninjask. Farah lunged up with her burning fang, sinking them into the bug while Freya jumped above the bug. Once Farah let go, Freya's fiery fist would come crashing down on the bug, taking one Pokemon out of the equation. However, this left all three in the middle of the other two Pokemon.
The two remaining kids called out their next attacks in unison. “Ninja Art: Double Venoshock!” The Zubat and Grimer both aimed at the trio standing between them. Given there was no time to dodge, the attack that hit Farah hurt the Growlithe, but the attack that Freya took to shield Lilly did virtually nothing due to Freya's Steel typing.
Robert called out his next attack combination to finish the fight. “Now, Ninja Art: Double Mental Strike: Psychic and Confusion!” Freya and Lilly began focusing their mental psychic energies and struck the Grimer and Zubat, suspending them both in the air before then slamming them together.
While Takashi still had two other Pokemon left, the other two were on their last one. “This ain't over yet gramps!” Takashi called out as he and his two friends called out their next wave of Pokemon: Koffing, Sneasel and Nuzleaf.
Robert smirked and recalled Freya and Lilly to their Pokeballs, leaving Farah the Growlithe out in play. Takashi smirked. “What's the matter? Afraid your Pokemon are going to get hurt? Or do you recognize that you can't win against a true ninja?” the kid spoke callously. Robert smirked, though it couldn't be seen with his ninja mask on.
“You are mistaken. I can defeat all three of your Pokemon here...with just this one Pokemon.” Robert spoke. While the kids were baffled and Takashi becoming even more hot-headed, Robert knew what he was doing. Both the Sneasel and Nuzleaf were weak to fire attacks, and Robert knew Farah had one attack that could hit all three at once. If any of the trio didn't end up fainting, it'd be the Koffing and even then it'd be hurt rather badly.
“Ninja Art: Crush Claw!” “Ninja Art: Smog!” “Ninja Art: Take Down!” the trio called out in sequence. Robert however, responded with only one command as the trio's Pokemon were charging in for their attacks.
“Ninja Art: Heat Wave.” Robert called out. The Growlithe let her body temperature soar as flames shot out of her body and roared outwards like an explosion of fire. The Smog attack burned up as the dome of flame expanded quickly, ripping through the ice and grass dual dark types and hammering the Koffing for some large damage.
“Ninja Art: Self-Destruct!” Takashi called out just as the other two were recalling their fainted Pokemon. There was no time to react as the Koffing sent out all of its energy with explosive force. Unable to avoid it, Farah was knocked out along with the Koffing. “So much for your little puppy!” Takashi sneered.
Robert shook his head as he recalled his Growlithe. “That you would callously throw away your Pokemon in an attack like that against a single adversary, while there are still a sea's worth more crashing upon your shores shows your ignorance.” Robert said as he released his Torchic into the fray. The other two were out of Pokemon, and a now furious Takashi sent out his last Pokemon: Nincada.
“You phoney! You fake! I'll rip that mask right off your face!” Takashi yelled. “Ninja Art: String Shot!” the young boy yelled. If it were not for Lilly's Hypnosis, the Onix behind Robert would have woken up and attacked out of irritation.
“Ninja Art: Slash” Robert calmly called out. Flare charged the claws of her feet and kicked into the string shot, using the razorblade sharpness of Slash to cut through the silk strands. “Now, Ninja Art: Flaming entrapment: Fire Spin into Flamethrower.” Robert called out. Flare sucked in a deep breath of air before shooting out a spiraling blast of flame, striking the Nincada and trapping it within a whirlwind of fire.
Flare then charged forward and leaped into the vortex, firing a blast of Flamethrower right down onto the trapped bug. The flames of the flamethrower not only struck the bug but also intensified the flaming tornado known as Fire Spin. When the flames were gone, the Torchic stood victoriously on top of the fainted bug.
“Damn you, damn you, DAMN YOU!” the teen yelled as he ran forward, charging at Robert with a raised fist. Quickly, Robert dropped to crouch down and delivered a strong punch to Takashi's stomach, ending the boy's attack and causing Takashi to double over into the fetal position.
“Now then children, do you know why you lost?” Robert asked, looking out at the other two that followed Takashi.
“Because we have weak Pokemon, that's why!” one of them shouted. Robert shook his head.
“Pokemon are only as weak as the bond with their trainers. If you care nothing about your Pokemon, if you treat them as nothing but tools, you will never unlock their potential nor will you ever unlock your own.” Robert replied. “You could catch an Entei with a Masterball and you would be unable to defeat me with it because of how poorly you treat your Pokemon. Whereas I could use that elderly old shiny Scyther who can hardly muster the strength to cut grass and have beaten you all, because I would have taken the time to bond and befriend him. If you care nothing for your Pokemon, then you can never consider yourself true ninjas.” Robert spoke.
The first kid sneered at Robert, released his Sneasel and threw away it's Pokeball. “That's crap! I'm going to catch a stronger Pokemon and then I'll beat you! I don't need this worthless thing!” the kid spoke as he stormed off, taking Takashi with him.
The Sneasel looked emotionally hurt and confused. Robert walked over to it and gently placed his hand upon its shoulder. “Do not listen to him. You are not weak. He is just a very poor trainer.” Robert said before he took out a Pokeball. “Here, Come with me and I will show you just how strong you can become, and how at peace you can feel.” Robert said as he held the Pokeball out to the nearly exhausted Sneasel. The dark type blinked a bit and looked at the ball curiously. Then, after almost a minute of thinking about it, Sneasel decided to accept the offer. Pressing the button on the Pokeball, the Sneasel allowed itself to be captured. And because the kid had thrown away and broken the original Pokeball, there was no need to turn his Pokeball into a SNAG ball to do it.
The third kid walked up to Robert and bowed his head. “I'm sorry. I-I thought I could become cool and strong by following those two. But, I want to be a ninja like you! Please, make me your apprentice!” the kid asked, bowing his head down to Robert.
Robert took in a deep breath. He was no real ninja, and taking time out from his duties to train a stranger may cause problems in cases of emergency, and he certainly couldn't train the kid here in Mount Silver. However, it was a chance to change at least one kid's way of thinking in regards to Pokemon relations. If he taught the kid, he could possibly prevent the kid from involving himself in gangs and crime, which was the path he saw the other two headed towards if they didn't change.
“Very well, but I'm a strict teacher. You will meet me every weekend morning at the base of Mount Silver, and I will show you the path of true ninjitsu.” Robert spoke. In all honesty, he himself didn't know the 'true path' he was speaking of, but if it was anything like the path of the martial artist, then he could manage. He could at least change one kid's life for the better. “Now, go bring your Pokemon to the Pokemon Center and then go home. This is a dangerous place for even skilled trainers. Only once you've become strong enough as a trainer should you attempt this mountain.” Robert said before escorting the boy down to the base of the mountain. Once he saw the kid off, Robert would return to HQ to get out of the ninja outfit and set it aside. He was going to need it for every weekend morning, but the payoff would be worth the effort.
Mission Complete.
SubonicXP Excellent work Robert! You executed your mission masterfully and have passed your Tier Advancement, earning your place in Tier 5 as a Bronze Snagger.
